either on-site, or at our purpose-built test laboratory in Telford, Shropshire, in the heart of industrial England.

institutions. As a Notified Test Laboratory (No.1288), Wintech can provide you with the necessary
testing services to ensure that your products comply with the requirements for CE Marking in line
with the Construction Products Regulation.

PULL-OUT TESTING
On-site testing is undertaken to check the quality of workmanship on
an installation generally a requirement of the Project Specification
or the National House Building Council (NHBC) Specification.
We can undertake CWCT Section 9 and AAMA 501.2 hose testing
on permanently closed jointed systems, such as curtain walling.
For open-jointed systems windows, doors, louvers and rainscreen
cladding we undertake CWCT Section 10 spray bar testing in
accordance with BS EN 13051.
Testing for air leakage is a requirement of the Building Regulation
outlined in Approved Documents L1A (residential buildings) and
L2A (commercial buildings). Any air leakage tests we conduct are
issued to the building control officer as part of the handover process.

WINDOWS AND DOORS
The testing processes we undertake on windows and doors may
either be specific to your project or a part of the development cycle
of a new product before it can be launched.
Project-driven testing is usually specified by an architect or consultant
and aims to ensure that the installed product meets the expected
level of performance for its intended use. Typical examples include
tests for weathertightness, durability and security which can be used
to demonstrate compliance with Secured by Design.
Product standard testing is a mandatory requirement set out by the
Construction Products Regulation. It requires manufacturers and
installers to declare the performance of their products for CE Marking
before they can be placed on the market. Our tests will demonstrate
that your windows and doors operate in accordance with British,
European and American standards.
Wintechs bespoke test equipment and unique laboratory facilities
cater for a variety of window and door configurations.

GLASS TESTING
Wintech Engineering also specialises in the testing of glass and
glazing products. We use initial type testing to demonstrate for
you and your clients that your product conforms to the standards
necessary for CE Marking.

FOUR-POINT BEND TESTING
Our fragmentation testing ensures that breakage and mechanical
strength data meets the criteria outlined in the standards for
thermally-toughened glass (BS EN 12150-1), heat-strengthened
glass (BS EN 1863-1) and heat-soaked glass (BS EN 14179-1).
If you wish to declare an impact performance, we can conduct
testing in accordance with BS EN 12600:2002, which enables a
classification to be given for your glass product that can be listed
on the Declaration of Performance (DoP) for CE Marking.

FACADE TESTING
Wintech offers a variety of standardised, specialised and project-
specific services covering a wide range of facade systems and
configurations. We aim to offer maximum flexibility to our clients
for whom we are able to provide a diverse range of testing options.
Our dedicated, professionally accredited laboratory can
accommodate more than a dozen simulations at any one time,
catering for sizes up to 10 metres in height and 12 metres in width.
In accordance with British, European and American standards
we can evaluate the performance of your facade using a range
of weather tightness tests.
