REQUEST
Retail stores where the Camili is sold require an ergonomic update. This Camili is an innovative
product allowing one to project designs and images on its surface. At the moment the Camili is a layer
being incorporated on clothing and accessories. Due to the Camili being a technological product, it
requires a different set of jobs in retail clothing markets compared to the average clothing department.
Currently Camili demands are high and production is increasing, our only limitation preventing Camili
Incorporate to reach its full potential is low productivity in Camili retail stores. The simple, quick, and
easy solution to solve this problem is to incorporate ergonomics in retail workspaces.
The asking price for the ergonomic improvements in each retail store is $6,130.67. Ergonomic
enhancements in these workspaces are necessary to invest in, because the tertiary industry of the Camili
provides for about 77% of its total workforce. In the case of low productivity in the service process
within the workforce it will effect majority of the company financially. The cost for ergonomic
enhancements stretch a major distance and will correct approximately all of the ergonomic principles
that retail stores presently dont recognize. It is extremely important to resolve unattended ergonomic
principles because they have the ability to delay employee tasks and minimize work rate levels.
Being inefficient is not an option in the retail markets while completing daily work including aisle
workers hanging and organizing clothes on racks, storage workers packing and opening boxes, and
working as a cashier or managing changing rooms. There currently may be flaw in the design, layout, or
choice of tools in each sector that may be limiting productivity, thus decreasing productivity and
reducing revenue. Each work sector depends on different materials and tools in order to function
efficiently, and currently our stores do not incorporate the safest, most efficient, or functional products,
causing individuals in the work environment experience difficulties completing tasks, which may
influence both their physical and mental health. The physical and mental stability of workers reflects our
company in the public eye, and because of the flourishing expansion of the Camili, our status has to
remain customers or employees first choice, and poor work conditions will act like a barrier. It is
mandatory to reform retail departments by redesigning the layout of the workspace and incorporating
new implements
Ergonomic improvements will no doubt benefit employees, however their increase of productivity
will impact this business positively. As employees benefit from the new provided mechanisms their work
rate will increase an abundant amount, thus impressively escalating sales due to tasks being finished
earlier. Camili Incorporate revenues and its productivity rates are directly linked to each other. In order
to obtain exponential sales, our retail markets need to be able to sell more in shorter time periods. By
incorporating gadgets and machinery in retail workspaces, tasks will finish faster increasing productivity
which leads to higher sales, quick service, and customer satisfaction. This will allow Camili Incorporate to
become top choice among consumers which will allow us to defeat major competitors in sales and
profit. Once we receive funding to enhance ergonomics in stores both the employees and this business
will benefit, allowing this company to become capable of reaching its full its full potential both

FUNCTION AND PURPOSE
Camili Incorporate is a company that produces and manufactures the world renowned product
Camili. The Camili is a technological material that allows one to project any image or design from any
device, and project it on their clothing or accessory, with the Camili incorporated on its surface.
Examples of products that currently include the Camili are shirts, pants, dresses, and iPhone cases.
However possibilities of what the Camili can be incorporated on are endless. The Camili is used as a top
coat and is incorporated on different brands in which we are in partnership with. It is extremely versatile
and has many functions yet is extremely thin and unnoticeable. This state-of-the-art technology is
composed of a malleable miniature rechargeable polymer built in battery so it is able to charge, and be
used wirelessly for long time periods. It is also water proof and incorporates a liquid repellant, keeping
consumers safe from different circumstances. Not only does this product allow one to fashion any
design or print of choice, it also allows consumers to select the feeling or texture of their clothing or
accessory from electro-vibrations. This provides an experience of pleasure and comfort for the
consumer, which can easily be modified by intensity and consistency.
The purpose of the Camili is to give consumers choice about what designs, colours, prints, and
textures they want to fashion, in a quick and easy way. Prints and designs can be purchased on The
Camili app, which is available in the app store, or they can create their own designs and patterns. This
allows the individuals of society to remain unique and not be whats limited to what sells in the
mainstream fashion departments.
BUSSINESS STRUCTURE
Within the retail department of the Camili, there are various positions of employees who perform
different tasks, in order for stores to function properly. Inside each store there includes a manager and
an assistant manager. Both these employees perform similar tasks however the manager is required to
lead the store according to the orders and regulations of Camili Incorporate. They are to guide
employees, employ new workers, manage clean-up crew, and keep track of revenues and sales. The
assistant manager provides a helping hand for the manager and completes the managers duties in the
case of their absence. Also when the manager or the assistant manager is not present, it is the key
holders duty to open and close the store, and promote staff improvement by guiding and motivating
staff. He/she assist higher authorities in the hiring process, and also work as sales associates and
cashiers. Each retail Camili store also include about ten sales associates whose jobs include greeting
customers and answering questions or clarifying orders, and tending for customer needs. Part of their
job is to also hand and organize new and old merchandise and keep the store tidy. This business also
includes about eight cashiers hired but only four work at a time, who are to handle payments and
receipts. They are also to handle returns from customers and can also answer customer questions
regarding their payments. Also in each retail Camili store there are two receivers who manage new skids
and shipping items back to manufacturers. This includes accepting, confirming, and signing for new
merchandise, and filing history of new and old delivery. Their task is also to regulate merchandise and
organize the storage room. Another job in Camili retail stores is managing changing rooms. There are

two employees that supervise changing rooms and allow customers to change in available rooms, also
gather customers unwanted clothing to hang back on racks. In total the average Camili retail store
incorporates about 26 employees.

internationally. This is because the Camili is heavily influenced and promoted by the media from
commercials, magazines, and fashion television. It is also fashioned by a variety of celebrities as they
tour internationally or attend ceremonies or award shows under the public eye. The Camili is receives
many requests from interested consumers around the world to open market in locations outside of
North America.
There is no doubt that this company is financially secure. Our abundant amounts of revenues allow
this company to provide average and up earnings for employees, and provide suitable working
conditions for workers. Our company has been obtaining employee standards since its starts, and has
never experienced a financial crisis resulting in laying of hard working employees devoted to this
company and their work.
Currently Camili Incorporate have been obtaining exponential sales for the past three years and have
profited an abundant amount. This company has a very strong financial base, which grants the
possibility of expanding worldwide and profiting from countries with high populations of average to
wealthy citizens. After expanding worldwide Camili incorporate will experience a financial boom in profit
therefore increasing wealth, strength, and becoming most dominant in the fashion industry.

BENEFITS OF PRODUCTIVITY
There are plentiful advantages from high productivity on the employees. For instance due to larger
amounts of work being completed in shorter time periods, employees will finish tasks sooner. This
allows workers to not have to post-pone work for the next day, causing burden, and store to fall behind.
Also due to the positive effects of ergonomics leading to high productive levels, employees will enjoy
working for Camili Incorporate, compared to competitors. Another positive effect of ergonomics leading
to high productivity levels, is employees will remain in a content mood, leading to positive interactions
with other colleagues and customers.
Productivity levels starting from ergonomics also provide an abundant amount of benefits for Camili
Incorporate. Being productive and selling more products in shorter time periods will increase revenues,
which can allow this company to slightly decrease prices of items. This will encourage more buyers to
purchase, leading to even more profit. In addition to this it will increase customer satisfaction and
loyalty among customers, making this company their top choice for future purchases. Also by increasing

efficient tools this company had invested in, our resources are not going to waste and can be used for

REASON FOR REDESIGN
Although Camili Incorporate provides a sufficient work space for employees, there is room for
improvement. Ergonomic issues among the workspace may not be visual, however their effects are
quite prominent, and are affecting productivity levels of this business by decreasing work rates of
employees. One issue includes overheating in retail stores due to high amounts electrical products such
as Camili articles of clothing and accessories on mannequins. Overheating can result in headaches, heat
rashes, and nausea. Poor lighting also contributes to an uncomfortable atmosphere by causing issues in
vision and can cause depression. Likewise wall colours contribute to the atmosphere of the stores by
triggering negative emotions depending on the colour, it would be ideal that our walls provide a
relaxing, and tranquil feeling to both customers and employees, yet reflect the colours of our logo.
Another issue that needs to be tended is the lack of clearance in our store regarding wires from Camili
product displays, and other electrical products. This is becoming hazardous, with many health and safety
reports from stores complaining about employees tripping resulting in injuries and damaging products.
Another reason why redesigning stores is mandatory is because there is evidence of poor organization
regarding racks and stands. Different types of clothing and accessories are constantly mixed amongst
each other, resulting in consumers not being able to find merchandise they wish to purchase. This is not
necessarily the sales associates fault because customers pull clothing from tracks, and/or visit the
changing room may not place clothing in their specific section on the rack due to its confusing or unclear
organization system. This results in increasing amounts of unsold products and loss of profit.
Another issue regarding work efficiency, is that there are large amounts of excessive motions when
repetitively bending down to the floor in order to reach boxes with merchandise to hang clothing. This
can cause strain on back, resulting in back pain, therefore slowing down workers. Store Associates may
also need have difficulty placing heavy boxes on high shelves, which would also cause strain on their
backs and joints, which may lead to serious injuries. Also cashiers experience a problem when cashing
merchandise out, because it becomes difficult to type barcodes of products repetitively for each
costumer. Thus resulting in symptoms of carpal tunnel, and stiffness. Another area of where work may
become overwhelming is stacking and storing heavy boxes for in storage. The load of packages are
causing receivers immense amounts of burdens on their joints and muscles resulting in long-term
injuries. Also sales associates find it difficult to remove clothing items on high racks when in need to
hang new merchandise, or when taking down merchandise for customers. In like manner cashiers may
experience difficulty reaching the cash register or counter when handling payments. This causes slow
check outs and long lines leading to frustration between customers. Also workers are also showing
evidence of fatigue and stress due to standing and moving for majority of their shift. Another evident
issue is employees experiencing difficulties and stress on joints by applying excessive force when using
old tools for tasks such as slicing through packaging to open boxes, or reapplying tape on boxes to ship

merchandise back. Lastly, in the case of emergencies, equipment such as fire extinguishers are quite
heavy which causes user to provide excessive force. In the state of emergency it is
important for equipment to be fast and efficient. Not only will the extinguisher slow its
user down, but it will also cause stress on muscles and joints due to it being a static load.

allows them to become more productive and not be negatively affected by high
temperatures both mentally and physically while working.
Fiber Glass platform ladders can be purchased online from the Canadian company
Uline. These ladders can lift up to 300 lbs, are electrically safe. Allows employees to lift
and place merchandise on high racks and keep everything at easy reach.
15 feet wire molds can be purchased at Canadian Tire. This product will provide clearance
inside stores and will hide wires inside, while providing a smooth surface for walking. This
product will also eliminate tripping hazards, therefore preventing injuries and providing a
safe work environment.

Visible light barcode scanners are sold from a company named DX and provides free shipping.
This product is beneficial to invest in because it reduces excessive motions for cashiers when
repetitively entering barcodes of merchandise. By providing four barcode scanners, cashiers
can easily scan tags, this increases speed of payments at checkouts.
Bolmen stools can be purchased from Ikea. It will be provided for cashiers with trouble
reaching counter items, and items to be at easy reach for them. This will increase work rate
and promote efficiency in cashing out items.
Closet rod dividers are to be incorporated on stands and racks to promote work organization
and prohibit loss of merchandise. They are great investments because they are capable of

mandatory in every Camili retail store. It is important to invest in a fork lifter

chances pulling muscles as reaching for products. It also increases productivity from hanging
and removing material at faster speeds.

will reduce fatigue by absorbing shock amongst employees and provides
cushioning for feet. This will allow employees to remain attentive, and enhance
their performance at work. These mats have dimensions of 1.22m 2.22m.

investments because they reduce strain on muscles and eliminate excessive force when they are
