What is lucid dreaming and why is it so interesting?
Lucid dreaming is an awesome spiritual sport. Lucid dreaming is viewed as being
awake inside of a dream but still asleep. Lucid dreaming is being able to have vivid
dreams that seem so life-like while youre dreaming. The reason people practice lucid
dream is because they have the sense of control and freedom to do what they want and
need to fill their desires. The test done of lucid dreaming as seemed to be increase as
people tend to try lucid dreaming more often now a days. Most people after waking up
from lucid dreaming believe that they are still dreaming.
The main idea of this paragraph lucid dream is being defined as dream that you
are awake in but yet youre still in a non-rem sleep. Lucid dreams are viewed as being
awake while dreaming, lucid dreams are physiologically defined as a form of
dissociation in which one part of the brain is in the waking state while the other is in the
dreaming state." From this it is understood in my personal own definition of lucid dream
is being asleep but having control of your dreams and being able to modify it to your
own desire as you please fit and being able to vividly experience.
The main idea of this paragraph is why is lucid being practiced and how does
lucid dream manipulated by the human mind. The reason why more people are
attracted to the practice of lucid dreaming is because dream awareness enables a form
of control in which the lucid dreamer can intentionally manipulate and direct any
element of the dream experience to his or her personal desires. It offers an opportunity
for adventure, unhampered by the laws of physics or society, and is free of risk. This
flexibility enables a vast range of personal applications that with the high level of realism
of the dream state, ranges from exhilarating adventures, rehearsing problem-solving
situations for improving waking life circumstances and even to overcome personal fears
and recurrent nightmares. As a result, people tend to take an interest in practicing lucid
because most people like the fact that they are in control and are able to manipulate
their dreams to their own liking. People can take adventures, solve problems, overcome
obstacles and improve their circumstances.
The main idea of this paragraph is showing how study have increased in the
couple of per weeks of testing lucid dreaming on patients. A study by Levitan and
LaBerge (1989) with 84 subjects showed an average increase of number of lucid
dreams per week for each subject by 76 percent (from 0.21 to 0.37 lucid dreams per
week) over a baseline condition, using MILD to induce lucid dreams. An integral mental
exercise within this same study, concerning Reality Testing in which subjects were
asked to continually question the state in which they were present in combined with
visualization of dreaming, increased the average number of lucid dreams by 152
percent (from 0.21 to 0.53 lucid dreams per week). In other words, this study shows
how increasingly lucid dreams per week for each subject went. The rate of lucid dream
went from 0.21 to 0.37. A 0.16 difference in the week. People who woke up from lucid
dreaming could never tell if they were still dreaming or actually awake. After a period of
time the rate of lucid dreaming went from 0.21 to 0.53. Its a 0.33 in the week. But its a
0.17 difference between the first test subject.
