- Israel is providing medical assistance and supplies to moderate Syrian rebel groups operating near the Israel-Syria border, while extracting intelligence on Assad's forces and extremist groups. They have treated over 1,000 wounded Syrians in an Israeli field hospital.
- UN observers have witnessed armed rebel groups transporting wounded Syrians across the ceasefire line into Israel for treatment and the IDF returning some to Syria. There is some coordination between Israeli forces and rebels regarding transporting of the wounded.
- While Israel claims to provide strictly humanitarian medical assistance, there is an assessment they may be supplying other assistance to rebels and coordinating with them given their interest in maintaining security along the border and preventing extremist groups from gaining control.
