Teachers notes
Language focus: Jobs and the simple present
Time (approx.): 15 minutes
Preparation: Photocopy one worksheet for each student
Using the worksheet: This is a revision sheet that focuses on the vocabulary and teaching
points in Unit 3.
Use it once you have completed the unit. It could be given out as
homework.
In Exercise 1, students must write the sentences into the
appropriate box.
In Exercise 2, students have to re-order the words to find jobs that
they have learnt about in unit 3.
In Exercise 3 they have to read the sentence and write the name of
the job down.

Additional ideas: Tell the students to choose one job and write about it but not to say
what job it is.
Now get students to stand up and read their descriptions out. The
rest of the class must guess what job it is.
Repeat the activity but in groups of 5 or 6 students. Each student
writes a description. They then read it out to the rest of the group
who try to guess what job it is.
