The Call to Worship

~ based on Psalm 86 & 73 ~

Leader: There is none like You, O Lord,
nor are there any works like Yours.

Unison: All nations You have made
shall come and bow down before You,
O Lord, and glorify Your name.

Leader: For You are great and do won-
drous things. You alone are God!

Unison: Whom have I in heaven but
You? And earth has nothing I desire
besides You. My flesh and my heart
may fail, but God is the strength of my
heart and my portion forever!

Prayer of Adoration

Songs of Praise & Worship

Sing to the King

Sing to the King
Who is coming to reign
Glory to Jesus
The Lamb that was slain
Life and salvation
His empire shall bring
And joy to the nations
When Jesus is King

chorus
Come, let us sing a song
A song declaring
That we belong to Jesus
He is all we need
Lift up a heart of praise
Sing now with voices raised to Jesus
Sing to the King

For His returning we watch and we pray
We will be ready the dawn of that day
We'll join in singing
With all the redeemed
'Cause Satan is vanquished
And Jesus is King
Our Great God

Eternal God, unchanging
Mysterious and unknown
Your boundless love unfailing
In grace and mercy shown
Bright seraphim in ceaseless flight
Around your glorious throne
They raise their voices day and night
In praise to You alone

Hallelujah! Glory be to our great God!
Hallelujah! Glory be to our great God!

Lord, we are weak and frail
Helpless in the storm
Surround us with Your angels
Hold us in Your arms
Our cold and ruthless enemy
His pleasure is our harm
Rise up, O Lord, and he will flee
Before our sovereign God

Hallelujah! Glory be to our great God!
Hallelujah! Glory be to our great God!

Let every creature in the sea
And every flying bird
Let every mountain, every field
And valley of the earth
Let all the moons and all the stars
In all the universe
Sing praises to the living God
Who rules them by His word

Hallelujah! Glory be to our great God!
Hallelujah! Glory be to our great God!
Call to Repentance & Renewal

~ based on Isaiah 30 ~

Leader: The Lord God, the Holy One of
Israel, spoke through the prophet Isaiah
saying, In repentance and rest is your
salvation, in quietness and trust is your
strength.

Isaiah pleaded with the people, There-
fore the Lord longs to be gracious to
you; He rises to show mercy to you.
He will surely be gracious to you at the
sound of your cry. As soon as He hears
it, He answers you.

Prayer of Confession

~ based on Psalm 25 ~

Unison: Remember Your mercy, O Lord,
and Your steadfast love, for they have
been of old. Remember not the sins of
my youth or my transgressions; accord-
ing to Your steadfast love remember me
for the sake of Your goodness.

~ Silent Confession & Reflection ~

Unison: For Your names sake, O Lord,
pardon my guilt, for it is great. Turn to
me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely
and afflicted. The troubles of my heart
are enlarged; bring me out of my distress.
Consider my affliction and trouble and
forgive all my sins. Amen.

The Words of The Gospel

~ Isaiah 53; 1 Peter 1 ~

Leader: Isaiah the prophet spoke about
the coming Saviour of the world, Jesus
Christ, when he said, Surely He has
born our griefs and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by
God, and afflicted. But He was wounded
for our transgressions; He was crushed
for our iniquities; upon Him was the
chastisement that brought us peace, and
with His stripes we are healed.

Understand then that you were ransom-
ed not with perishable things such as sil-
ver or gold, but with the precious blood
of Christ. He suffered for sins, the right-
eous for the unrighteous, to bring us to
God.

Song of Response

"Name Above All Names

From the brightness of His glory
Jesus, the Son of God descends
Takes on the nature of a servant
Jesus, obedient to death

The Father willed to crush Him
As a sacrifice for sin
He satisfied Gods justice
And in victry rose again

chorus
You are highly exalted
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
You are reigning in glory
Jesus, Youre the King over everything
Exalted to the highest place
Given the name above all other names

The tomb is empty, Christ has risen
Jesus, the Lamb once crucified
The angels never cease to worship
Jesus, in heaven glorified
To Him belongs the power
The wisdom, might and strength
All glory and dominion
To the Lord of every age

(repeat chorus)

Our knees will bow, our tongues
proclaim
That You are Lord of all
Our knees will bow, our tongues
proclaim
That You are Lord of all

(repeat chorus)
The Prayers of the People
for the Church and City

Leader: Let us pray.

Unison: Our Father in Heaven, hallow-
ed be your name. Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done, on earth as it is in
heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our debts as we also have
forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power, and the
glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.

Presentation of our Tithes
and Offerings
Song of Preparation

All Hail the Power of Jesus Name

All hail the power of Jesus name
Let angels prostrate fall
Bring forth the royal diadem
And crown Him Lord of all

Ye chosen seed of Israels race
Ye ransomed of the fall
Hail Him who saves you by His grace
And crown Him Lord of all

Let evry kindred, evry tribe
On this terrestrial ball
To Him all majesty ascribe
And crown Him Lord of all

O with that yonder sacred throng
We at His feet may fall
Well join the everlasting song
And crown Him Lord of all

Songs for Communion

Majesty of Heaven

Majesty of heaven
Your glory fills the skies
Light of the world
You are Lord of all

Humbled by Your presence
Amazed by Who You are
Nothing compares
You are Lord of all
chorus:
To You the nations bow down
To You creation cries out
Majesty
All things You hold together
Your Name will stand forever
Majesty
You are majesty

Merciful and mighty
My heart is overwhelmed
You stand alone
You are Lord of all

(repeat chorus)

bridge:
Your name above all others
High and exalted
Your Kingdom shall reign forever
High and exalted

(repeat chorus)

Cornerstone

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus name

chorus
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Saviours love
Through the storm, He is Lord
Lord of all

When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil

(repeat chorus)

When He shall come with trumpet sound
Oh, may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless to stand before the throne

(repeat chorus)

Hallelujah, What a Saviour

Man of Sorrows! What a name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim
Hallelujah! What a Saviour!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude
In my place condemned He stood
Sealed my pardon with His blood
Hallelujah! What a Saviour!

Our Confession of Faith

~ Heidelberg Catechism #60 ~

Leader: Christian, how are you made
right with God?

Unison: Only by true faith in Jesus
Christ. Even though my conscience
accuses me of having grievously sinned
against all Gods commandments and of
never having kept any of them, and
even though I am still inclined to all
evil, nevertheless, without my deserving
it at all, out of sheer grace God grants to
me the perfect satisfaction, righteous-
ness, and holiness of Christ, as if I had
never sinned nor been a sinner, as if I
had been as perfectly obedient as Christ
was obedient for me. All I need to do is
to accept this gift of God with a
believing heart.
The Benediction

~ Romans 15:13 ~

Leader: May the God of hope fill you
with all joy and peace in believing, so
that by the power of the Holy Spirit you
may abound in hope.

Unison: Amen!
