This article describes the overview of physical restrain that occurred in Aceh. The author
provides information on the number restrain, reason of restrain and length of restrain. The author
also provides an alternative to solving the problem is with health insurance (health insurance
Aceh) which protects patients with mental disorders that support the "Aceh free pasung" and
allow the program can be replicated by other provinces that have high incidence rate of physical
restrain.

The author tries to describe the gap that occurs in patients with psychiatric disorders. Although it
has been regulated by law in Indonesia, but in fact right in patients with mental disorders are not
fully met. To overcome this, the authors say that the government should be more assertive in
providing protection to patients with mental disorders, not just the law but its limitations must
also be clear and the government must also cooperate with related agencies to create a decent life
for the patient. so that the patient's right to life can be fulfilled and it can be start from
environment surrounding them.
