First Ja'amiah Muhammadiyah Monthly
Assembly

This past Month, the students at Ja'amiah Muhammadiyah (Bolton),
were busy organising, promoting and fully participating in the first
ever JM Monthly Assembly.
From the moment our head-teacher, Shanaz Begum, announced
another one of her plans to improve the Ja'amiah, we the students
jumped right into the task. We set about designing promotional
leaflets, advertising the upcoming event via social media, formulating
ideas for potential role-plays to perform and in general creating a
hum in the community about the approaching assembly.
Immersing ourselves in preparation, we left no stone unturned in our
strife for an excellent presentation and before we knew it, we had
orchestrated a full-blown assembly!

Guidance on the months of
Rajab/Shabaan
[In preparation for Ramadhaan]

OPENING STATEMENT FROM THE PRINCIPAL
BOLTON

I thank and praise Allah Taala that the daughters of Ummah Muhammadiyah are striving to convey
the message of our Prophet Muhammad [Peace be upon Him] to new fronts and different channels.
I congratulate the students of Jaamiah Muhammadiyah and their teacher who has initiated this
channel of Dawah. In future it will become the news letter of the entire branches and the Prophetic
path. They have requested this unworthy servant to write a few lines and some Naseehah.
I am forwarding a part of wisdom and guidance from Sayyiduna Abdul Azeez Ad Dabbagh RA
as all credit goes to Him for all the goodness emerging through these institutions.
He, May infinite mercy of Allah shower on him, says:

"These three months are very important in the spiritual world and for the spiritual development of the
seeker. This is why the Prophet (Alaihis Salaam) would recite;


The seeker should see this month (Rajab) as month of rectification, Sha'baan as a month of
implementation and Ramadhan as month of reward and a manifestation of the hard work put in. So
it's rectification, implementation and manifestation of whatever you have sown in the previous
months.
In reality the month of Ramadhan is reflection of a person's whole years deeds. So know that if the
seeker wishes for a good and blissful Ramadhan then they need to start now if they haven't done so
already. Rectifying their sinful deeds and ways or at least putting a stop to the sinful ways and lifestyle
and establish their relationship with Allah Azzawajal. Then in Sha'baan implement as much as possible
the good deeds, the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) as this is His month thus
establishing your relationship with the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and then in Ramadhan it
will portray the reflection of the good deeds performed during those months.
The momentum of carrying out good deeds will maintain the seeker and help him become steadfast
upon those deeds. Thus these three months are rectification, implementation and reflection.

Onwards and Upwards
Although, this Academy of Islamic Sciences, has been up and
running for barely a year in Bolton, it has progressed in leaps
and bounds, achieving so much along the way.
For one, our Head-teacher Shanaz Begum has introduced an
innovative new curriculum known as The Step-Up Programme,
for the Childrens Course This will make the transition for learners,
between the Childrens Stage and Aalimah Stage, far smoother.
As well as this, at Jaamiah Muhammadiyah, Bolton, we offer a
Foundation Level Diploma that has been specifically designed to
ensure that students can progress from one stage to the next fully
equipped and capable of handling the intensive Aalimah Course.
As far as we are aware, such forward-thinking programmes are
not available anywhere else in Bolton.

Not only this, this Monthly Newsletter marks the first to be issued
across any of the Ja'amiah Muahammadiyah centres, nationwide.
Upon it's implementation, the newsletter will improve
communication between the Madrassa and Parents by allowing
parents - and the wider community an opportunity to gain
insight into the studies at this Ja'amiah. Furthermore, notifications
and crucial information will reach those it may concern in a
seamless fashion.

These are but a few of the ground-breaking initiatives that have
been/will be put into place, throughout the near-future,
ploughing Ja'amiah Muhammadiyah onwards and upwards. Each
of these movements will be building momentum for the Ja'amiah
until guidance has been granted to as many people as possible.

"Recite in the name of Your Lord who created. Created
man from a clinging substance. Recite, and your Lord is
the most Generous. Who taught by the pen. Taught man
what he knew not. (96:1-5)

Getting into the community spirit, the
students of Ja'amiah Muhammadiyah,
hosted a fun-day, on Friday 23
rd
May,
for children and adults alike. Friends,
neighbours, peers and family all
attended this much-anticipated
gathering. Ranging from Abayas to
children's toys, we sold it all since stalls
were occupied by not only students, but
local entrepreneurs also. Overall, the
event was a huge success and we were
granted the opportunity to fulfil another
Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah
Dawah.
