3ongratulations on purchasing your new filament extruder, you are 8ust a few
hours away from extruding your very own filament9
,ou can begin by verifying that all parts are present in your kit by reviewing the
parts list below, if your kit is missing any pieces, please contact us 7 days a
week at innovativetechsolutions@outlook.com.
:7;#luminum %ipple :machined;
(1) steel pipe flanges
(2) 1/4 bolts 3" length steel high grade
(6) 1/4 nuts steel high grade
(1) 1.75mm Predrilled die
(1) 3mm Predrilled die
(1) 5/!" auger bit(ma"hined to si#e)
(1) 2.2 $P% &ear%otor 12'
(1) 12' Po(er suppl)
(2) *rushless "omputer fan 12'
(2) %a"hine s"re(s for motor mounting
(1) P+, -emp. .ontrol /nit (ith autotune
(1) -)pe 0 -hermal 1ensor
(4) 2ire "lamp
(1) steel "oupler
(1) 'ariable 'oltage regulator3 for motor speed "ontrol
(1) 4eat *and 1252 %i"a +nsulated
(1) 1haft .oupler for motor to auger "ouple
(1) 4opper (6*1 *la"7)
(1) -hrust *earing
(1) 1olid1tate$ela) 256
(1) 4ightemp fiberglass insulation
(1) 1258 plug
(15) .able ties
2ooden frame pre"ut and predrilled
,ou may now begin to assemble the wooden frame, install the motor mount on
the base plate, on the rear of the machine.
"nsure that the counter<sunk holes are facing forward.
)emove two screws from your motor, and use the supplied motor mount nuts and
bolts to secure the motor to the frame.
"nsure the motor shaft is in the top, most left position, this is for proper
alignment with the rest of the extruder.
$ecure the last piece of the frame, ensuring that the big hole is left<most.
$tep =' #ssembling the barrel and auger'
*egin by securing the steel pipe flange to the frame with the two supplied >?
bolts.
Install the aluminum pipe nipple:machined;, ensure opening is facing up.
Install the black #*$ hopper by threading onto aluminum nipple, take care to go
slowly as to avoid stressing the plastic too much.
Insert the auger bit into the aluminum nipple and slide thrust bearing over the
auger shank:shaft; with the protruding end of bearing facing toward the auger.
Thread on two nuts onto your 7@AB bolts all the way down, followed by another
set of 7@AB nuts, about Cmm from the last set, followed by the steel bearing
plate, followed by a final set of 7@AB nuts, this is to support the thrust
bearing@auger bit as pressure is applied when extruding, please ensure to ad8ust
the nuts properly to allow the bearing plate@thrust bearing take the load of the
auger bit.
,ou may now link the motor shaft with the auger bit shaft using the supplied
shaft coupler, lease use a bonding compound with the set screws, to avoid
future loosening of set screws.
$tep A' "lectronics
%ote' $ecure all electronics using a hot glue or similar glue.
,ou will need' = $tandard outlet cords for I- unit and for the heater power.
rogramming I- Temp. 3ontrol 0nit' ush the #@T button, this will engage
the temp select menu, select desired temp. using the 0@-&4% buttons,
press $"! button to verify the selected temp.
,ou will need to secure the fan to cool the filament as it exits the noDDle,
the fan will be run off the same 7=v power that is going into the voltage
regulator.
Install the additional fan directly under the aluminum barrel, this is to
dissipate the heat before it reaches the hopper and rest of the extruder.
3omplete all wiring following the wiring diagram below, please note' your
unit was shipped with a 7=v power supply, as the diagram indicates a =Av.
$tep C' 1ot "nd
The hot end is what heat the pellets being pushed forward into a pool of
plastic, which will be forced out through the noDDle by new pellets being
pushed into the mixture.
*egin by securing the steel pipe coupler onto the end of the pipe nipple.

$lide the heat band onto the steel coupler, it will be a tight fit, you may need
to slightly stretch the heat band on, be careful not to overstretch and
damage the internal mica of the heat band.
$crew the thermocouple onto the hot end, careful not to over tighten.
3arefully install the fiberglass insulation :use proper hand protection;, ,ou
may secure the insulation, by using the supplied cable ties.
$tep E' 4rapping it up
If you?ve come this far you should be proud, give yourself a pat on the back.
,ou will need to verify that all components are functioning properly, plug in the
I- temp. control unit, after a few moments it should display current temp. and target
temp.
lug in the heater power, heater should begin to heat up almost
instantaneously.
+ilament will need to coil consistently on the floor for a consistent product,
for best results,
"levate unit A<E feet off the ground.
,ou will need to guide the filament for the first few feet.
