Symposium Will Empower Dentists and their Dental Teams to Achieve Superior Clinical and Business
Outcomes Using the Latest Technological Advances in Dental Techniques, Materials and Equipment

Gillingham, 24 June 2014 Henry Schein Dental announced today that, together with industry
partner Kerr and others, it will host the Innovations in Dentistry Symposium, For the Art of the Smile,
from July 3 4. For the Art of the Smile will be held in London at Altitude 360 on July 3, from 09:00
to 19:00, and at Henry Scheins Educational Centre at Marble Arch on July 4, from 09:00 to 15:30.
The two-day Symposium is designed to empower dentists and their dental teams to achieve superior
clinical and business outcomes for their practices, using the latest technological advances in dental
techniques, materials and equipment.

Symposium attendees will hear from a range of international experts and distinguished dental
professionals, who will discuss how 21
st
century transformations in dental technology have impacted
dentistry. During lectures, interactive demonstrations, and focused question-and-answer sessions,
practitioners will learn how to employ state-of-the-art techniques for a variety of dental procedures;
how to utilise digital technologies for efficient case diagnoses; how to achieve optimal restorative and
aesthetic results for patients; and how to address back and front office management issues to
maximize practice profitability, business efficiency and patient satisfaction.

The array of exciting technologies featured at this educational event is a testament to Henry Scheins

Topics for Day 1 of the Symposium, intended for each member of the dental team, will cover a wide
range, including: new approaches to dental canal instrumentation; bonding best practices and
common bonding pitfalls; oral care maintenance through proper periodontal therapy; comprehensive
aesthetic treatment planning and structured treatment delivery; the continuing transition from
traditional dental amalgam material to resin composites; and managing and overseeing the business
aspects of a dental practice. Day 2, intended for registered dentists only, will consist of a 5-hour
hands-on course, which will cover the comparative advantages of bulking and layering techniques for
creating long-lasting, high-quality aesthetic restorations in a short space of time. Attendance at both
days of the Symposium will entitle participants for up to 13 hours of verifiable Continuing Professional
Development (CPD).
