QC Inspector Piping
Responsibilities handled-
  Stagewise Inspection of fabrication of pipe spools
which includes material identification, inspection of
joint set up, inspection before during and after
welding, checking and witnessing
NDT(RT/UT/PT/MT) requirements, witnessing PWHT
activities, witnessing hydostets and pneumatic
tests, review of test packages and inspection of
coatings etc.
 Review of ITP/WPS/PQR/WPQ/MTR, witness and
certification of welding procedures and welders
qualification tests and witness of laboratory
mechanical tests
 Ensures that welder tests, welding inspection, NDT
activities(RT/UT/PT/MT) and NDT evaluations are
properly carried out and that certificates are
provided accordingly by conitnous monitoring and
document review
 Maintains inspection records in a manner which
allows all personnel concerned get access to
results. Compiles all inspection records in
accordance with agreed method to combine them
or allow reference in the system testing before
handover.-

 Controls and supervises inspection items
determined in the procedures thoroughly and
without interruption. Prepares inspection reports
and report unacceptable items to Field Engineering
and Construction Groups, as well as to the
Subcontractors.
 Conducts material receiving inspections in
coordination with Warehouse/Material Manager.
 Preparation and follow up of Non Confirmance
Reports, Material Discrepancy Reports, Field
Observation Reports etc.
 Ensures that testing equipment/instruments are
properly calibrated before use.
 Review of quality documents such as ITPs & QAPs
 Conduct off-site inspections for items fabricated or

 assembled at suppliers’ premises. • Provide
monthly report of off-site QC activities
 inspection during fabrication such as bevel
preparation, fit up, welding parameters monitoring,
usage of approved electrodes, WPS, welders etc,
final weld inspection, review of RT films and other
NDT reports, monitoring welders performance rate,
review of PWHT reports and charts etc
