Research Unit
Conducted research on microhabitat use and behavior of fish of the Kootenai River in
Bonners Ferry, ID. Research was part of a graduate student thesis research project.

RESEARCH AND PROJECTS COMPLETED
Conducted season long angler creel census on Silver Creek in Picabo, ID in 2009. I
interviewed anglers on catch rates, equipment and overall opinion of fishery health
and current management practices. This work resulted in new regulations being
implemented throughout Silver Creek.
Assisted in data collection for USGS study on population dynamics of Rock Creek in

Twin Falls, ID.
I was an integral asset of project to remove Common Carp from Hagerman Wildlife
Management Area to improve Bass and Sunfish success. This project employed the use
of rotenone poison, trap netting, electrofishing in both removal and re-planting of fish
species. Overall the ongoing project was and continues to be a success.
Conducted research on microhabitat use and behavior of fish of the Kootenai River in
Bonners Ferry, ID. Research was part of a graduate student thesis research project.
This study included use of aerial electrofishing and standard stream surveys.
Conducted Undergraduate research regarding fish behavior with the use of
underwater video. This took place on the Kootenai River in Bonners Ferry, ID.
Conducted day to day hatchery operations at CSI fish hatchery. This included research
of Snake River White Sturgeon breeding and spawning.
