- New section of the book of Proverbs put in order by the men of King Hezekiah; The king of

Judah.

- Even though the Book of Proverbs seems to be a book of miscellaneous and random sayings, we
should be diligent in studying the order in which the Holy Spirit lays out the book.
Ecclesiastes And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people
12:9 knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many
proverbs.

King Hezekiah is a descendent of King Solomon.

II Chronicles Now when all this was finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities
31:1 of Judah, and brake the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw
down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim
also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. Then all the children
of Israel returned, every man to his possession, into their own cities.
II Chronicles And Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their
31:2 courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt
offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in
 the gates of the tents of the LORD.

Proverbs 25
Pr These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.

Pr It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

Q. Are there hidden messages in the text?
A. Absolutely. And they all glorify Jesus Christ. There are dozens of different kinds
of encryptions embedded underneath the text. This is a call for kings to use
diligence when studying the text.

In Proverbs 25:2 the word “thing” and the word “matter” are both the same word

In the New Testament the word “thing” and the word “matter” are also both the

God rewards those who seek him out: It is the glory of God to conceal the Word:

Jesus.

Jesus is in every book of the bible. Beginning at Moses and all the prophets and

All scripture is given by inspiration of God. Even though the bible is written by
different writers over a period of about 1600 years, the entire bible is an integrated
message system written entirely by Holy Spirit inspired men outside of our time
domain.
Pr The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.
25:3
It’s interesting that we have never been to the bottom of the earth’s ocean floor.
 And it’s also interesting that the heavens seem to have no end. Just like the word of
God is inexhaustible and has no end. Search for wisdom like hidden treasures:
Proverbs 2:1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with
thee;
Proverbs 2:2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to
understanding;
Proverbs 2:3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for
understanding;
Proverbs 2:4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Proverbs 2:5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of
God.
One of my most rewarding moments in studying the scripture was studying the
seventy weeks of Daniel:
Daniel Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish
9:24 the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for
iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and
prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Hebrews But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God
11:6 must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek
him.
and the heart of kings is unsearchable:
Romans O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how
11:33 unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
Romans For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
11:34
Romans Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

Romans For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for
11:36 ever. Amen.
Pr Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.

“Dross” is used eight times in scripture.
“Silver” is used twelve times in the book of Proverbs.
Removal of the dross is the removal of impurities. How is God removing the dross
out of your life?
Proverbs The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the
17:3 hearts.
Pr Take away the wicked from before the king, and his throne shall be established in
25:5 righteousness.
Having good advisers and people who are good influences around us is important.
Isaiah Therefore saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will
1:24 ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies:
Isaiah And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take
1:25 away all thy tin:
Isaiah And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the
1:26 beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful
city.
 Isaiah Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

Pr Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:

Pr For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put
25:7 lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen.

Luke Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape
21:36 all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Luke And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they

Luke For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth
14:28 the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
Luke Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that
14:29 behold it begin to mock him,
Luke Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Luke Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and
14:31 consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against
him with twenty thousand?
Luke Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and

Luke So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot

Pr Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another:

Pr Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away.

Matthew Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest
5:25 at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee
to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
Matthew Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast
 5:26 paid the uttermost farthing.

Matthew Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault
18:15 between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy
brother.
Matthew But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the
18:16 mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
Matthew And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect
18:17 to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican.
Pr A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
25:11
Apples of gold in pictures of silver is a picture of beauty and great value, just like
saying the right thing at the right time.
Proverbs Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's
27:9 friend by hearty counsel.
Pr As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient
25:12 ear.
What better to go with a word fitly spoken, than an ear that appreciates that word?
When someone that you trust gives you a correction, then you learn and benefit
from it.
Proverbs Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Colossians Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know
4:6 how ye ought to answer every man.
Pr As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him:
25:13 for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
Harvest time was usually hot in Israel, but some people used to go to the top of Mt.
Herman and bring down snow as refreshment. It is always refreshing when you
send someone on a mission and they execute that mission faithfully.
Proverbs Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who
20:6 can find?
Pr Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.
25:14
It is disappointing to meet people, who pretend to have received a gift which they
never had, or boast of great accomplishments and good services, but it is all false;
People who make false promises are disappointing. But false prophets who speak
presumptuously or lie in the name of God will be destroyed.
II Peter But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false
2:1 teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying
the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
II Peter And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of
2:2 truth shall be evil spoken of.
II Peter And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of
2:3 you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation
slumbereth not.
II Peter For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and
 2:4 delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
II Peter And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of

Gideon with a soft tongue pacified the Ephraimites and Abigail turned away David’s
wrath.

Pr Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith,
25:16 and vomit it.
In the Old Testament, honey illustrates natural sweetness. But don’t overdo it.

Pr Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour's house; lest he be weary of thee, and so hate thee.

Be careful not to wear out your welcome:

Pr A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp

Pr A righteous man falling down before the wicked is as a troubled fountain, and a corrupt
25:26 spring.
The corruption of not speaking up when we should. The only thing required for evil
to triumph is for good men to do nothing. The goal of a righteous person is to stand
for truth.
Ephesians And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather
5:11 reprove them.
Ephesians For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in
5:12 secret.
Ephesians But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for
5:13 whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
Pr It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.

Galatians For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth

6:3 himself.
Galatians But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in
6:4 himself alone, and not in another.
Galatians For every man shall bear his own burden.

Pr He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.

A city without walls is easily overtaken.
Luke When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places,
