ou and our professor structure the major part of our own course contentB 'his course is designed to

!nowledge of our major to a wor! e*perience of our choice =though it is su%ject to pre-appro&al %

'he (nternship course is a "-unit 0redit ? Co 0redit class. (nterns wor! for 15D hours after o%taining a
position of their choice$ to %e completed in one ear or less. (nternship can %egin at antime of ear$
and the wee!l wor! schedule is mutuall determined % a signed contract %etween the intern and the
emploer. (nterns are reEuired to select a career-related %oo! to read$ to turn in F one page forms
throughout their internship$ and write a ten-page paper upon completion.
3#e&4 -o6: .s a student who has not et completed a /achelor,s ;egree$ ou are not e*pected to
o%tain a jo% with the classification of G(nternational /usiness .nalstH. 'here are man fields in which
college graduates in our major field e&entuall wor!$ from %an!ing to %ro!ering$ go&ernment polic
to pri&ate %usiness$ sales to manufacturing$ etc. at this stage$ we e*pect ou to focus on some area of
interest$ and ou can use this internship opportunit to e*plore that field.

internship ma %e with a compan or go&ernment agenc where ou are de&eloping e*pertise at
wor!ing with an office team$ or learning how computers are utiliAed in %usiness$ or writing short
articles for pu%lication. 7ou ma pursuer the position ou choose$ as long as ou remem%er that some
part of our internship wor! must %e international. 7ou must secure a position where ou can wor! at
least 15D hours within one ear> usuall$ 1D-12 hours per wee! is a reasona%le time schedule$ with
our emploer.
