3R concept application (Reduce, Reuse & Recycle).
Adaro utilized water resources from the mine to be more beneficial
and useful to the surrounding community
Adaro built Water Treatment Plant (WTP) T -300 in 2008.
WTP produced clean water 20 liters/seconds.
Has been used for internal Adaro, sub contractors and community in
2 village, Dahai and Padang Panjang.
Since August 2010, clean water has distributed through pipelines with
a total of lenght 10 kilometers.
Clean water project is being managed by the communities through a
Clean Water Management Board, elected through village meeting

Since 2005
Asset untill 2009 up to 1,7 billion rupiahs.
As of mid 2010, the total fund allocated was 32,5 billion
rupiahs.
4 branches office in Regency of Tabalong, Balangan,
East of Barito and South of Barito.
MSMEs sectors: micro enterprises, services, agriculture,
plantation, fisheries, home industries.

Higher yield rubbber trees are planted to utilize idle land or replace
plantation areas which no longer productive

- Tabalong District, 29 villages with an area of 2082 hectares
- Balangan District, 63 villages with an area of 2271 hectares

Collaborated with Yayasan Kemanusiaan Indonesia and
community health centers (Puskesmas)
Covered 6 regencies within Adaros operational Area: Kabupaten
Tabalong, Balangan, Barito Kuala, Hulu Sungai Utara, Barito Timur
dan Barito Selatan.
The surgeries are conducted in mobile eyes clinics by eye surgery
adhering to international standards
Since 2003 up to the end of 2009, have provided surgery for 3608
people with cataracts

Improvement teachers quality and school management trought
Quantum Teaching programe collaborated with Institute for
Educational Potentional Development of Adaro and Partners
(LP3AP)
Conducted in three regencies: Tabalong, Balangan aand East
Barito with 181 participating schools, consisting of 142 in Tabalong
Regency, 22 in Balangan and 13 in East Barito.
Up to end of 2009, has been participated by 4359 people including:
teachers, principal, and school management
Model school program. Started in 2009 wth eight schools consist of
three elementary schools, three middle schools and two high
schools with target in 2012 become a reference for educational
quality enhancement in Tabalong adn East Barito regencies and
models for others schools in teh region.

Up to end of 2009, 2230 students of middle and high schools in
Balangan participated in FREE tutorial
2007/2008, Balangan Regency won the third rank in high school
category and the second rank in middle school category in South
Kalimantan Province
2008/2009, first rank in middle school category and the second rank
in high school category in South Kalimantan Province
