Research/Projects Experience (In reverse chronological order)

• Completed a project titled “Design of mechanism for the removal of bottom Pinch roll
in pinch roll after welder assembly” at Steel Authority of India Ltd., Salem, India. A
mechanism using a piston cylinder arrangement which is used to remove the bottom
pinch roll with touching the top assembly.

• Experimental determination of the effect of introducing an electronically controlled pre-

catalytic converter in a multi-cylinder carbureted engine and improvisation of the same
by introducing Multi-point Fuel Injection (MPFI) in place of the carburetor under
Prof.P.Govindasamy at Kongu Engineering College.

• Design and Fabrication of “Power assisted gear shifting mechanism” under the
guidance of Dr. K.P. ArulShri at Kongu Engineering College. A gear shifting
mechanism which combines the merits of manual and automatic gear shifting into one
was developed making use of hydraulic power to shift gears at the press of buttons.

• Underwent in-plant training at Brakes India Ltd. where I got hands on experience in the
assembly line regarding the various steps involved in making the brake assembly and
various manufacturing processes.

Academic Achievements
 • Received an academic scholarship in the year 2007 in recognition of outstanding
academic performance.
• Was awarded the First prize for presentation of the paper titled “Electronic Catalytic
Converter with MPFI” at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal
• Was the district topper in Hindi in secondary examination.
• Secured fifth place in higher secondary examination in school.
