MOVIE REVIEW
own right. A great mix of gore, comedy, horror and
80's elements combined to make a unique zombie
film.

Around 2 decades before 28 Days later, ROTLD

presented zombies that could run, think, and work as
a team to get what they desired. These zombies
could even talk! And although I am not a fan of
untraditional undead attributes, the overall charm of
the film and the way it was presented made these
new zombie behaviors add to the overall experience
rather than take anything away.

The storyline and casting is really well done; there

are some great performances, and the type of
ending I always enjoy in horror – I won't say what
happens in case you haven't seen it yet.

ROTLD also displays what was possible with special

effects in the 80's – in my opinion more realistic and
visually interesting gore – none of this computer
generated blue screen crap. I really wish more films
were still produced in this way.

If you like horror (and in particular zombie) movies,

the 80's, and Troma style gore and comedy, then
check this one out! g

Hollywood was the stomping ground of great

is the scene like over there these days?

Nothing like it is now, there was definitely a bigger

music scene then, a bit more heartfelt. The Internet
has created quite a musical monster, both good and
bad. The spirit on Sunset is not the same anymore;
needless to say there are probably just as many
talented musicals now as back then.

I'm told the band went over to Iraq among other

locations to play in support of the US troops. Tell
