In making- monograms, either of sterling silver, 12-k gold front or solid gold,
we use stock of the thickness best adapted to the purpose for which the monogram
is intendedalways thick enough to be substantial, but not so heavy as to make
the price unnecessarily high.
Monograms for fobs are made heavier than those intended for mounting on
leather or ebony. When the fob monogram is to be used as a charm or pendant,
it is made still heavier than when attached with slide bars.
Monograms are made to order with the least possible delay ; usually taking one
to three days to make delivery. Initial letters as catalogued are carried in stock
and orders will be filled promptly.
Our gold front stock has a heavy sheet of 12-k solid gold on its face. It will
stand many years of continuous wear and still retain its appearance of solid gold.
This is an important feature and your customers' attention should be called to the
fact.
Each page and cut is numbered to make ordering easy. Order by number
;
stating size wanted, the metal to be used and the finish desired.
When ordering monograms or letters write the initials wanted in plain block
print, viz., P. L. AI. B.
All goods will be billed at net cash prices.
We make no charge for packing. Large packages will be sent by express, un-
less otherwise ordered.
Small packages will be sent by mail. Packages amounting to $2.00 or more
will be registered, unless otherwise ordered.
Postage will be charged at actual cost.
Terms 2% discount 10 da}-s, net 30 days.
All remittances must be in fumls bankable at par in Chicago.

column bearing the same letter as the style of monogram selected. For instance,
the monogram No. 834, on page 37, size 1

Should you wish a smaller or larger size, follow to the right from the size desired.
When ordering, state the style number of monogram selected, the size desired,
and the letters to be combined, thus: Style No. 834, size lj4 inches, letters R. T. S.
Always use plain block letters to denote the initials wanted ; also mention
whether they are to be fastened to leather or wood, so that we may provide the
proper pins for attaching them.
Sterling silver monograms finished in French gray, gun metal, oxidized or
gold plated at an extra cost of 50 cents to $2.00, according to size.
Special designs submitted when desired.
Any style shown can be made in larger or smaller size.
The greatest measurement in height or width determines tlie size of the mon-
ogram, except with diamonds and squares.
Sterling silver and gold front monograms smaller than one inch take the one-
inch price.
Solid gold monograms smaller than one-half inch take the one-half inch price.

Our automubile monograms are
cut from heavy polished brass,
nicely chased and engraved. They
are provided with bolts, washers,
nuts and lock-nuts when ordered
for use on radiator, or with screws
when wanted for the doors. Spe-
cial designs furnished when de-
sired.
Fashion decrees that an auto-
mobile shall bear the monogram
of its owner. It is not only the hall
mark of refinement, but distin-
guishes the private car from the
livery outfit. A great many place
the monogram on the radiator,
but some prefer to have a smaller
and less conspicuous one on each
side of the car, mounted on the
door. The usual size for radiator
is 6 to 8 inches, for the doors 2 to
4 inches.
