It is imperative that you have the information you need to navigate the Army
system. Your soldier will be focused on the Army mission. Remember the
Soldiers Creed? I will always place the mission first. This is your new reality.
Your Soldier will not have time to hold your hand and walk you through every
little difficulty you face. He/She has a mission and you have a mission. Your
mission is to be resourceful and have the ability to overcome challenges on
your own.

That is what Basic Training for Families is going to do for you. We will not hold
your hand, but we will provide you the information you need to get through
basic training and to get through your Army career. We suggest that you get a
three ring binder, start a resource book (MY ARMY LIFE BINDER), and get
organized. Keep this book with you. You will use it throughout your career.
