Foreseegame.com, in association with Microsec Research presents herewith an Online
Survey on the two wheeler usage in India.

The two wheeler market in India looks promising. The users of two wheelers are
aware about safety, engine power, comfort etc. However, when taking purchasing
decision, they want to focus on energy conservation. The Indian consumers want to
drive trendy models with a proper mix of safety measures, comfort and fuel efficiency
technology. Innovation in fuel efficiency will be breakthrough and can disrupt the
market share.

Foreseegame.com is a unique portal of consumer engagement, which provides a
platform for two way communication and engagement between the brand and the
consumer using games of foresights. Microsec research is the research wing of
Microsec Capital having experienced analysts across the sectors.

We used the online feedback from the users of www.foreseegame.com .The users have
been registered only on the basis of a unique mobile number and hence, it provides
authenticity and genuineness of the participants. The participation is being monitored
by Google.

About 21,000 participants have contributed from all parts of India; however the
limitation of this sample is that it is from the group of people who are users of internet.

The take away points:

1. Fuel efficiency is the key driver for influencing the buyer to buy a two wheeler.
Fuel efficiency, supported by appropriate engine power and trendy model can
push a brand ahead in the competition.

2. For regular use, users prefer a mix of power and fuel efficiency. Hence, bikes in
125cc and 150cc categories are desired the most.

3. Although majority of the respondents prefer a four wheeler over a luxury two
wheeler, a strong 44% of them are still in favour of the latter, indicating a strong
preference for high-value two-wheelers as well.

4. 30% preference towards sports category reflects that any brand focusing on sporty
bikes with focus on fuel efficiency can be a winner.

5. Travelling by two wheeler is easier in heavy traffic. An economic travel through
the same also makes it preferable over travelling by a car.

6. When it comes to personal protection, Helmet is overwhelmingly preferred by
~70% of the respondents.

7. For a modern nuclear family, bike is considered as the best family two wheeler by
almost half of the respondents. Scooty is also considered as ideal by 27% of the
users.

8. Lack of safety measures is considered the main demerit of a two wheeler.
Furthermore, it is considered uncomfortable while going for a long ride.

9. More than 80% of the respondents think that scooty has tried to revolutionise
private transportation for women in India. This survey indicates a huge potential
segment which requires focus of the auto-makers.

10. Fuel saving and eco-friendly measures are the most desired innovations in the two
wheeler space. As a result, most of the respondent wished that in new two
wheeler models, eco-friendly fuel usage, traits for additional mileage, and less
carbon emission should be there. Some of them also want dual starter in all
segments of bikes.
