SIXTH WEEK

PROBLEM
This week, while conducting R & D for the title of Physical Education at the Security Council (A ) SKSAT , I have a problem that two
male students skipping class . Both of these children disappeared during the execution of a group activity without realizing it until I
was told by other students of their absence . They try to hide behind the pillar near the P & P and trying to get away from doing
group activities . P & P distracted while because I need to fnd both the students and other students also took advantage of the
occasion to make a noise and get out of the group and roam in the hall .
ANALYSIS
From the above problem I have made a number of observations and interviews with my mentors and friends . In addition I also get
feedback from their PE teacher before being taken over by me . The result I get is that they both try to take advantage of new
teacher trainees especially as my practicum . This is because the PE teacher before I took the class is teacher discipline , and they
are afraid to make mistakes .
I second the opinion that since I only see them once a week to the subject of physical education, so they know about me and the
relationship between teacher and pupil is not too friendly . This suggests that teachers are able to give full attention to the students
and get to know the real attitudes .
Next , perhaps learning to safety boring topic . They are many listen, take notes , and make things work group worksheets and all
activities are concentrated in four walls . This is inconsistent because they typically do activities and play a game every time the
subject of Physical Education .
PROPOSAL
Apply discipline to pupils before teaching students to create respect for the teacher . It also allows the instruction there is no
interference and can be implemented smoothly and act more frmly , but not force the teacher does not punish , but to show the
frmness of a teacher during the early lessons that students can focus on teaching . Mok Soon Sang (2008 ) , the discipline of self-
instruction and discipline among students work orders can be observed in all the teaching and learning process . Pupils are able to
discipline themselves and work together with classmates without the control of the teacher .
Even if only once a week I will be teaching a class on the subject 5mm Physical Education , I will take the class for coaching classes
. Classroom guidance activities allowed me to reach out to the students 5mm closer and create a relationship with the students and
focuses on two students who skip class. Education Minister Datuk Hishammuddin Tun Hussein opinion , the teachers need to be
more creative in their teaching methods in order to ' catch ' and strengthen the students' interest . With the development and
changes now that begat sons more modern , teachers have the skills demanded more than just teaching skills. They do not have to
focus on the academic aspects alone but take a more holistic approach .
Deputy Education Minister Datuk Mohammed Md . Khir said , some teachers are not creative in teaching resulting in boring lesson
will encourage students to skip class . As for teaching will come in particular for safety topic , I will draw up teaching activities that
involve movement and not just focus on one point only, bring the students into the feld and relate the material to their subject
matter . I will ensure that the planned activities will encourage interaction between students and student interaction with the teacher
is always asking questions and making carefully control class .
TIME FRAME SOLUTIONS
For this week I could not make a resolution to this issue because this week the Year 5 pupils follow the District 3 Tests and pupils do
not have any class . The implementation of the solution will be made at the eighth week of 13 August 2009 ( 1 week ) for the seventh
week all the teachers and students involved with the day and Excellence Award is granted leave for a day event .
FOLLOW-UP
I will call both pupils to identify the reason they skip class . Since I was a student teacher practicum guidance , I will call both pupils
for individual counseling sessions . I will use the frst phase of building a relationship counseling beforehand. After that, I will make
exploration causes them skipping class while teaching physical education which I do.
I will appoint them as the leader of the group and give them assignments to make the presentation . When given such responsibility ,
they will concentrate because they are going out to express what is done in their group . Current activities of the group, I will make
an observation of the two students is to make sure that they do the work and take part in group activities .
NOTE
Attention and interest has to do with understanding , appreciation and learning strategies is the responsibility of all parties. What I
am saying here is that every weakness that occurs in a person that has a network connection to each other . The problem will not be
complete if we only focus on the treatment and rehabilitation but attention should be on every network related as the causes of these
weaknesses .
