General
The course is designed to expose students to modern advances in
theoretical foundations and practical applications of basic concept of
stratigraphy. This will allow the student to better understand and
effectively interpret the stratigraphic record and to evaluate the earth
history. The other important goal is to get students involved in the
processes of efficiently apply stratigraphic concepts to explore earth
resources and especially hydrocarbons.
