These manuals are fully compliant with the JAA/EASA theoretical knowledge syllabi and contain numerous JAA-style examination
questions and answers at PPL level. The technical content of these books, however, is such that those students who aspire to
becoming professional pilots will nd that they constitute an excellent introduction to a professional pilots licence.
This series of 7 full colour manuals has been created for student pilots preparing for the theoretical knowledge examinations of
the Private Pilot Licence (PPL) and also aims to provide students with the aviation knowledge they require to become safe and
competent pilots.
Volume 3 (Navigation) includes the CBT course for the Flight
Navigation Computer, teaching how to use every major function
of the instrument.
The VFR RT CBT is based on international ICAO RT procedures and phraseology to teach the RT skills required when ying in
accordance with the Visual Flight Rules (VFR) anywhere in the world. This CBT will also help the student to prepare for the JAA/
EASA Communications examination and for the RT Operators Licence test. The VFR RT UK Airspace Supplement CBT is intended
to complement the main VFR RT CBT. It contains lessons on the differences in UK RT procedures from those of ICAO and is
designed for students who do most of their ying in UK airspace. The IFR RT CBT is designed to follow on from the international
VFR RT CBT and complies with ICAO IFR RT procedures. Its main purpose is to provide pilots preparing for an Instrument Rating
test with practical instruction in IFR RT skills.
These interactive CBT courses provide student pilots with a comprehensive understanding and effective use of radiotelephony
communications. Animations together with audio sequences, give the student a complete picture of the air-trafc situation.
The range includes a record/playback facility to practise RT calls in a wide variety of ground and air situations and also includes
complete VFR and IFR ight scenarios.

It is necessary for student pilots to have a thorough understanding of Mathematics and Physics concepts. This CBT series is an
excellent option for those who need to brush-up their knowledge and skills in these subjects prior to commencing pilot studies.
The CBT is a comprehensive, self-teach course comprising fully interactive lessons, vivid graphics, animations and in-depth
narration that enables the student to grasp even the most difcult concepts.
These courses are suitable either for revision or to teach oneself
from scratch. As well as being aimed at those at school (covering
the topics examined in the GCSE), this CBT is also suitable for the
adult learner at work or in further education.
