for Thanksgiving.
A tradition in their fam-
ily, which was started by
Baker’s grandmother, is to
make that day’s turkey
dance.
“We dance the turkey
before we stuff him,” Bak-
er said. “He goes on the
side of the sink and does a
can-can.”
This year’s turkey dance
will be special because it
will be the first time Baker
will dance a turkey for a
grandchild, which would
be her son, Adam’s, 19-
month-old son.
Her sons enjoyed it
when her grandmother
made the turkey dance
and so Baker wants her
grandkids to enjoy the tra-
dition started by her
grandma.
“She was a fun lady,”
Baker said about her
grandmother. “She was
always doing something
for the kids.”

1 yellow cake mix
1-cup canned pumpkin
½-cup milk
4 large eggs
1/3-cup oil
¾- tsp. Pumpkin pie spice

Lincoln Manor is a
skilled nursing facility at
1550 Third St. since 1987.
Lincoln Manor resi-
dents will celebrate
Thanksgiving with the
traditional holiday meal.

Jennifer Bonner said
that her favorite memo-
ries of Thanksgiving had
been when she and her
late husband would have
her parents over for
Thanksgiving.
“We always had my
mom and dad come to
Thanksgiving and we
made a big Thanksgiving
dinner,” Bonner said.
She said that they
would make her dad a
steak for dinner “because
he doesn’t like turkey.”
“He’d eat the things that
went with it,” Bonner
said. “He cooked the
