Objectives:

Process:
First, I put the Hanoi Tower photo in Photoshop so I can cut out the background for
text wrapping. Second, I drew a simply logo sia travel with Illustrator. Ten, I go to
InDesign, create a new document and start making curves with pen tool and create a
good visual fow. Next, I put the photos in to fll the shapes. Ten I put in the text that I
have written out before. Ten I add title Discover VIETNAM with two diferent font to
contrast. Finally, I put in the text-wrap image.

Objectives:
Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography
Incorperate basic InDesign skills to improve basic fier layout
Create project folder with image, logo, and InDesign document to keep link intact
Process:
I frst drew some sketches of my layout then put it in InDesign. I split the content into
four blocks and tilted the lines to make the design more interesting. I apply colors to
each block to contrast and to lead my audience in the right direction. Te frst block
with the title I make the title black and the back ground white to contrast. I make the
second block with image is the biggest block because I think people love images. I made
the arms of the model in the photo to point the audience to the third block. I made the
background in this block black with white text to contrast and draw attention from the
audience. And the last block I added the rest of the information.

Learn to blend images together smoothly, using masks.
Use flters.
Process:
First, I make a text document of all the words I want to use. Ten, I put the image of
Christ to a new blank document in Photoshop. Ten I lower the opacity of the image to
30% and start putting on the lines words on the image so they lined up with the image.
I broke the grid with some lines to create more interest. Ten, I masked back the image.
Next, duplicated it and fatten the image afer adding a white background. I then copied
it to another blank document with 8.5 x 11 inches. Finally, I masked the blue texture on
for fnish.
Photodesign
Description:
A nice catalog photo for a foral shop or a part of a calendar design for the
Spring season.

Objectives:
Demonstrate good photography and image editing skills.
Incorporating color into a design layout with original photo.
Process:
First, I chose the color scheme for the project which is complementary with lime and
violet. I used a T4i rebel CANON camera to take the picture with close focus. Ten, I
used Photoshop to put some touch on the color balance, level, and saturation to make
the photo ft my color scheme. Next, in a new document, I used pen tool and masking
technique to make the white curves and spit the image into 4. Ten, I put my text in and
make the violet and curved line with pen tool and brush to create a good fow to the
image. I used eye dropper tool to pick up the colors in the photo to create repetition and
unifcation to the design. Finally, I put in my swatches and color scheme to follow the
small curves I had made to ft it into the whole design.
Event
Description:
A color full-bleed event ad to promote a fundraiser using only Microsof Word
and a scanner.

Insert and edit images in Word.
Process:
First, I used the scanner to scan the image in this ad from a magazine and put it to
Word in a Mac. Ten, I created many text box for each of the words in the title to make
them align them better. I created an inverted back arrow shape to hang the title, the
date/time/place on. I also made a red arrow shape that fts into the black arrow and
made the shapes a tiny bit transparent. I also added another triangle in the bottom to
add extra information for the ad.

Objectives:
Create a variety of logos to ft a company or personal image.
Use the basic tools of Illustrator.
Process:
First, I used Adobe Illustrator to make these logos. Te frst logo I made black and white
circles overlapping. Ten I choose a fun font to type my initial dp then use pen tools
to make it so it looks like a face with the eyes looking up (thinking eyes). Ten I added
typography. Ten I delete all the white shape to make the logo clean and I can use it as
watermarks for future works Te second logo I drew the shutter of the camera with a
black circle, a white hexagon and white lines. Ten I make it in to shapes and removes
the white shapes. For the word PHAN is invert the color to create contrast. For the last
logo I just use typography and alignment to make it.

Process:
First, I formulate a plan to create the logo by incorporating the famous symbol of Hanoi
City (the temple of literature) into a C in cuisine. Once Im done with the logo I put
it in another Illustrator document and add more elements to create good fow in the
design. Te fowery thing I created using pen tool to trace an image from the internet
and adding some details that I like. I unifed the design using the same color scheme I
used for the logo. Afer I fnish creating the business card (front and back) I save it in an
InDesign fle to display and for later edit.

Afer I created the logo and the business card, I open a new Illustrator document to
make the letterhead. Ten, I started to move the same vector objects from the business
card to the letterhead to create unifcation between the business card and the letterhead.
Next, I added some lines to create more alignment in the design. Finally, I added a
watermark using the trademark logo.

Objectives:
Size and optimize an original logo as a png. for a webpage.
Design a web page using HTML to display a logo and content.
Aquire basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
Identify hex colors for web design.
Process:
First, I attached a pre-made CSS document to my HTML. Ten, I incorporate the colors
of the logo to put it on the rest of the page. I found these colors by opening Photoshop
and using the eyedropper tool.I added contrast fonts. Ten I added padding and
margin. I just played around with the size so everything look. Ten, I add a little touch
with the link to make the color look right before you click the link, when you click on
it, and afer you click it. Finally, I added a background that I made using Illustrator. Te
most challenging part of this project is not knowing enough about HTML and CSS to
have a complete control of the design.
