The following information items are the first of many as we head toward student registration and the beginning of

--REGISTRATION: Tuesday, July 29 --- 9:00am-4:00pm / Wednesday, July 30 --- 11:00am-7:00pm
*We invite parents to visit our website at www.central51.net to gain access to important information related to the start of school.
Clicking on the tab titled Parents & Students opens that page. On the Parents and Students page you will find registration forms
which you may complete on-line then print off and take to registration. You will also find school supply lists, and requirements for
physical, dental and eye exams listed on the Parents & Students page.

--KINDERGARTEN SOCIAL: Thursday, August 14 --- 6:30-7:30pm --- CPS (Kindergarten Hallway & Playground)
*The PTO will again organize this event during the week before school starts. The event provides Kindergarten parents and students the
opportunity to tour the Kindergarten hallway, meet classmates, ride on a school bus, and play on the playground. All incoming
2014/2015 Kindergarteners and their families are invited! (MORE DETAILS WILL BE COMMUNICATED AT REGISTRATION)

--SUPPLY DROP-OFF/BACK-2-SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE NIGHT: Monday, August 18 --- 5:00-6:00pm @ CPS; 6:00-7:00pm @ CIS

MORNING ACCESS TO SCHOOL -- 7:45am [earliest time that students can be safely housed at CPS]

CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION (FIRST-DAY SCHEDULE) -- 8:40-11:30am
WALKERS DISMISSED TO FRONT FOYER & ENTRANCE OF SCHOOL FOR PICK UP 11:30am
BUS RIDERS DISMISSED 11:45am

--NO EARLY DISMISSAL FOR KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS THIS YEAR: This is a change from past plans for our start
of the year so I will probably remind parents more than once. KINDERGARTEN WILL NOT BE DISMISSED EARLY DURING THE
OPENING WEEKS OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. Kindergarten students will follow the same schedule as all other students at CPS.
