After action report regarding trip to Bundy ranch in Bunkerville, Nevada April 19
th
through
28tth, 2014
MISSION:

Article 1, Section 8, defines property rights and federal limits regarding property by defining parameters under which
the federal government may obtain property from its creators, the states: There is no legislative evidence the State of
Nevada ceded 87% of the land within its borders claimed by the federal government. The same holds true for other
western states. Comparison of property owned by individual states on the eastern sea board and Middle America
reveals the federal government violates the following passage in Article 1, Section 8, or the constitution which says:

To exercise exclusive Legislation in all Cases whatsoever, over such District, (not exceeding ten miles square) as
may, by Cession of particular States and the Acceptance of Congress, become the Seat of Government of the Unit-
ed States, and to exercise like Authority over all Places purchased by the Consent of the Legislature of the
State in which the Same shall be, for the Erection of forts, magazines, Arsenals, dock-yards, and other needful build-
ings.

The Bundy crisis reveals the property 53 ranchers was wrongfully and unlawfully taken by the Bureau of Land Man-
agement (BLM) and other unconstitutional federal agencies. Clivan Bundy is the last man standing.

What started as demonstrations and Americans with cameras turned into armed confrontation when BLM bullys tried
to enforce free speech zones on unarmed Americans. When patriotic Americans responded in kind, Bill Blairs and I
determined we were going to Bunkerville Nevada to lend assistance and to

Enforce the Constitution,
Reestablish the rule of law,
Affirm Clivan Bundys right to his property,
Restore, uphold, and defend Americas free speech rights by negating the BLMs and other federal agencies
assertion that speech is allowed in designated zones only,
Meet armed force with armed force reminding those who rule that A free people ought not only to be
armed and disciplined but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of
independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own govern-
ment." George Washington,
Deliver an article written by Neil Rice and Sherry Smart titled Federal, State and Local Governments are Ig-
noring and Destroying the U.S. Constitution.to Mr. Bundy or a member of his family.
Obtain a family members signature proving it was delivered.
Look Mr. Bundy in the eye and thank him for standing up for the constitution so many Americans have
fought and died for.

RELEVANT FACTS/HISTORY:

On April 19, 2014, Bill Blair and I left Gainesville Florida by rented auto to go to Bunkerville Nevada. We did so as
Oath Keepers to thwart an arrogant out of control and unconstitutional federal bureaucracys attempt to steal more
land to enact Agenda 21, a UN plan. The BLM and other agencies had already forced fifty three ranchers off their
property making Mr. Bundy and his family the last family standing. Militias and other groups backed down the Fed
by meeting force with force. Since Congress is a corrupt, criminal and impotent elected body that no longer repre-
sents the people, our task was to provide additional manpower/firepower for that effort. Our contact person in Bun-
kerville was Jerry DeLemus, an ex-Marine from New Hampshire.

We arrived in Bunkerville on Monday, April 21, 2014, reported to Jerry DeLemus, pitched our tent, loaded our weap-
ons, and began to stand watches and do whatever necessary to further the mission. We had our own Ham radios
which facilitated communication with one another and others on the net. We reported to Marky (Mark Chavez) for our
assignments and volunteered for just about everything.

Bill Blair stood watch at the Bundy gate and I stood watch on post 2 which was high above the command center that
provided astounding views of the Virgin River, the canyon, roads and the bridge.

On April 22, Bill Blair and I reported to the command tent earlier than we were supposed to, to relieve the person
standing watch on post two. While waiting to begin our watch on post 2 we heard bickering over who had control of
Camp Liberty. We also learned there was another meeting in the morning which was moved to the Bundy Ranch. Bill
and I were assigned to stand watch at the Bundy Gate; that watch was cancelled when Mr. Bundy hired private secu-
rity. We stood watches elsewhere.

On Thursday, April 24, 2014 A New Hampshire 9-12 member and his girlfriend was married on post 2, Camp
Commander Jerry DeLemus officiating. Clivan Bundy, members of his family and others were in attendance. Bill Blair
and I were standing watch at the head of the .road entering camp Liberty when the announcement came that we
could stand down. I attended the wedding talking pictures after which Bill Blair and I then prepared for the 2100-0500
watch we were slated to stand .on post 2.

After finishing our watch on Friday, April 25, Bill Blair and I decided to attend the picnic Mr. Bundy was planning on
the other side of the bridge on the bank of the Virgin River. We arrived a little early taking advantage of the opportuni-
ty to talk to locals who were born and raised in the area. The oral history we heard helped us comprehend, delineate,
and understand the issues.

We also met Bob Barnet, a luminary from the Republic of the United States organization. We watched Bundys son
field questions at a press conference. I was able to present him a coffee stained copy of the article Neil Rice and
Page 3 of 4

Sherry Smart wrote regarding the Bundys. He signed a copy that I returned to both woman as proof that he receive
it. We listened to good music, ate our fill of Bundy
Burgers, and generally had a good time.

I had the opportunity to walk up to Mr. Bundy and
personally thank him for stand- ing up for the Consti-
tution so many had fought and died for. I thought Mr.
Bundy was going to shake my outstretched hand,
but he grabbed me and gave me a hug instead. As
I left, I told one of his guards please take good
care of him. The guard smiled, nodded, and
said he would.

Shortly before the sun went down Bill Blair re-
ceived word we needed to report back to Camp
Liberty. He found me standing on the road talking to Mr. Barnet. When we arrived at the entrance to Camp Liberty we
noticed a large volume of cars and trucks leaving. We had to wait to get in. Maria Keown was standing watch at the
entrance. She asked us if we had a good time and alerted us to the fact something was going on that required our
attention. We went to the Command Center where pandemonium, shouting, and angry talk from the remaining peo-
ple still there caused Harley Bullet trap Dockery, to yell Shut the fuck up and listen if you leave now, where are you
going to take a stand? At the next place, the place after that where?

I was able to glean that someone from the hierarchy of Oath Keepers came to Camp Liberty while we were at the
Bundy Picnic telling Oath Keepers to report to a motel in Mesquite. It was unclear as to the reasons why so I decided
to walk the mile back to Ms. Keons post and ask her for a dispassionate account of what had taken place. Ms. Ke-
own told me what happened and said, I refuse to follow this order.

I found Bill Blair when I returned to the command post. Like me, he wasnt going anywhere. We didnt drive 2300
miles armed to the teeth to cut and run. Jerry DeLemus regained control, started organizing patrols and the rest of us
scattered waiting for the drone, and supposed mop up crew that Oath Keeper Intelligence said was coming. Since I
was the only Corpsman with combat experience, Jerry gave me a mount out pack full of medical supplies and or-
dered me to the Chow Hall to set up a triage area. As I set up shop the thought occurred to me that with no BAS
(Battalion Aid Station) 20 miles down the road with doctors and advanced medical services to receive casualties. We
were medically screwed should something happen.

As the night wore on, the thunderstorm predicted came and went. The 50-60 mile per hour winds that came with the
storm was a clear indicator Oath Keepers had been duped. A BLM psych op succeeded. As day break came, I wan-
dered back to the command tend to return the medical gear. While there, someone told me other oath keepers that
stayed were disgusted with what had happened. They tore off their oath keeper patches throwing them to the ground.
I removed my oath keeper shirt and added it to the pile.

On Saturday morning, April 26, Bill Blair was standing watch on post 2 when a drone flew over Camp Liberty. The
operators must have been satisfied with what they saw because half of the cars that were there the day before were
gone. I was returning to our tent when an Oath Keeper we talked to at the Bundy picnic walked up to me saying he
and the rest of the oath keepers that fled were patrolling the roads to cover our backs. Knowing he fled, I told him
Dont go there. Youre lying and I know it. Im not going to tolerate this garbage. He took me at my word because he
turned on his heels and left. I was grateful he didnt challenge me because I really wanted to hurt him.

When Bill Blair finished his watch, we got some chow, struck our tent, said our goodbyes, and left shortly after 1400. .
I rented a car to ,make the trip; we had to return the car in three days later, two of which were travel days to cover the
2300 mile return

Lessons learned

The people and environment I entered when we arrived at Camp Liberty reawakened emotions I took for granted
while in uniform; it regenerated something I had forgotten about in the 30 plus years since I returned to civilian life. I
was proud to go to Bunkerville and Camp Liberty with Bill Blair. Hes a Christian who means what he says; he stands
up for what he believes in. You can count on him. He walks his talk.

The same thing holds true for Maria Keown, a woman I barely knew but admired for her professionalism. Like my
wife, she was born in Germany. She has since renounced her citizenship and loyalty to Germany becoming an Amer-
ican Citizen in December 2013. Her willingness to come to Camp Liberty let alone stay there when threatened
speaks volumes to who she is and what she stands for. She understands the dangers to American liberty better than
natural born citizen counterparts. She puts those who fled to shame.

I am a lifelong oath keeper who was proud to affiliate myself with the Oath Keepers Organization. I returned to
Gainesville feeling betrayed by the organization that claims to uphold American principles, ideals, and values I have
stood for life long and seen fellow Americans fight and die for.

Nothing in my years of service with the Navy/Marine Corps team prepared me for what happened at Camp Liberty.
Watching former service members who claim to be oath keepers cut and run is unheard of. Its an unacceptable be-
trayal not tolerated by members of the Armed Services past or present. Knowing what happened and why was a re-
minder that membership in an organization does not mean one leaves their principles, ethics, and mores behind to
become part of the whole. When push came to shove, Bill Bair and I proudly separated ourselves from the whole; we
will do so again.

In the realm of politics I now understand that voting for a politician who knowingly and willfully violates their oath
makes me an oath breaker. Looking back at my history reminds me Im part of the problem not the solution. Our
country is in trouble it is because I drank the political koolaid. I will henceforth vote or not vote for the issues and indi-
vidual politician in the future; not the party because both are destroying this Constitutional Republic by 1000 cuts
every day/ The average American no recourse but to fight and die if pushed into more or similar tyranny.

Lloyd Bailey, the chapter leader of the Gainesville John Birch society, showed me what I was doing when he forgot
his principles by demanding Birchers sign a petition to get State Representative Keith Perry, a known oath breaker
who calls people with moral standards bigots on the ballot while at the same time railing against federal representa-
tive Yoho, a lesser but nevertheless oath breaker. Since both violate their oaths, favoring one over the other makes
no sense to me. Therein lays the rub but also the recognition.

Having a clear understanding of the differences between supporting and defending the Constitution in and out of uni-
form, I stand ready to repeat Bunkerville if necessary. My individuality, standards of right and wrong, good and bad
remain intact; so does my belief the cause of American heritage and freedom is worth sacrificing and fighting for. Im
proud to be an American.
