TABLE OF CONTENTS
Description: An advertisement for students who want to learn the
magic of Photoshop.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): So when I started the assignment I
knew exactly what I wanted to do and exactly what color scheme. I
asked my roommate (Cameo) to pose for me, her strawberry blonde
hair was just the orange-ish color I was looked for, after added a red
shirt we were set. Or so I thought, after a few failed attempts of tak-
ing my photos with a lamp I had friends help me by holding up their
cell-phone fashlights in order to create the indoor lighting I wanted. A
total of two under her hands, one diagonal on her face, and three
surrounding the top of her head from a distance. After I found the shot
I wanted to use I quickly edited it in Photoshop using all of the required
tools and a few extra. I created could layer and added the colors I
wanted to create the spacey look I was going for, I threw in a few stars
from brushes Ive made in the past then added the text and TADA.
Message: Photoshop is like magic and if you want to learn that magic
youll listen to this.
Audience: Those that want to learn Photoshop.
Top Thing Learned: I re-learned that lighting is a huge factor in photog-
raphy. When at frst I tried to take the photos the lamp I was going to
use wouldnt turn on so I ended up using SIX cell-phone lights, where
would we be without technology!
Color scheme and color names: I used a split complimentary with teal,
orange and red

PHOTODESIGN
Description: A poster to show that you can become a ferce person
and how we all have a tiger or a stronger side inside of us.
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills, Steps taken while designing): I took a
basic photo of my sister and stole a photo of a tiger and a galaxy
shot from Google. I then darkened the outside of my sisters photo
and gave it a gradient. I then placed the tiger over her left eye and
matched it up with the tigers right, set the occupacity down and faded/
blended the edges. I then overlaid the galaxy onto the background
and then added the text, created a shadow for it and called it a day.
Message: Become the Tiger Within, be a stronger you.
Audience: Everyone
Top Thing Learned: I learned that its can be a little difcult to overlay the
layers to look exactly how you would like them.
Filter / Colorization used and where it was applied: I used the grayscale
for most of my assignment and then used the diference on my gal-
axy layer.
Color scheme and color names: Black and white

MONTAGE
Description: A black and white fier that represents the Vouant Commu-
nications Graduate Leadership Conference
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I started this project by creating multiple
thumbnails. Once I decided on a thumbnail that I liked and I began
working in InDesign with a gray background followed by a circle with a
thick dark gray outline then I created a darker gray tilted banner. I then
use Impact and created the Title, making the N and F extend by pulling
their ends down. I then placed in the photo and the logo. I placed the
required text and then arced the time, when/where and other texts in
an arc and placed them around the circle. I then added the lines and
the time to the time section of the circle and made its area darker by
adding another layer. Once completed I review the assignment and
uploaded it.
Message: To inform those that would a better competitive edge in
business that they may attend the Vouant Communications Graduate
Leadership Conference.
Audience: The audience that I was aiming for were graduates, soon to
be graduates and those that are looking to have a better competitive
edge in business.
Top Thing Learned: I learned to work better in indesign as a whole but
the main thing I learned was how to create the pull that I did on my N
and F.

FLIER
Description: Logos for DeannaPaigePhotography
Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I actually used the pen tool for all of my
logos. I used a script font for the top and bottom ones and traced it
the added the circular parts. For the top one I used a patterned brush,
placed and layered it over the circle. As for the middle I use a regular
rectangle then cut out the zigzag patten in order to create a banner
look, I then used the pen tool to create an arrow followed by some
text. For the bottom one I just used a basic stroke.
Message: deannapaigephotography
Audience: Anyone who wants to get their photos taken
Top Thing Learned: I learned that you need to be careful with the
pen tool, it can be a little tricky if you dont pay attention to where you
place the lines.
Three Color Scheme and Color Names: I stuck with analogic for the frst
two and then mono for the last one.
Three sets of Title / Body Font Names & Categories: I used Signerica Fat
for the top and bottom ones. Hasteristico Bold for the middle one.
Votes on favorite logo:
Top Logo = 5; Middle Logo = 6; Bottom Logo = 10;
My favorite logo is oh dear, I honestly like them all!
