MiCOM E20 24V/40A to
400V/400A
These chargers are based on a
mixed thyristor/diode technology.
Indications and controls
On front panel :
ON/OFF switch,
Charger/battery DC voltmeter,
Charger output ammeter,
Three LEDs indicating :
- Charger fault/low DC voltage,
- High DC voltage,
- Float charge.
Three LEDs for options,
LED test pushbutton.
Operating modes
Automatic "Float and "Charge
mode (possibility to force these
modes) "Boost mode, for a fast
100% recharge or commissioning
of vented batteries.
Charging characteristics
MiCOM E20 chargers are constant
voltage design, they include :
Current limit on charger output
current
Current limit on battery charge
current (available as an option)
Automatic voltage correction as
a function of temperature
(available as an option).
Adaptability
Battery types :
ALSTOMS long experience
enables us to ensure the optimal
solution for each application taking
into account technical,
environmental and cost aspects for
either :
Nickel Cadmium,
Sealed Lead Acid,
Vented Lead Acid cells
including the particular
requirements of battery life and
short or "extended discharge.
In each case, the chargers and
their accessories are adapted to
the batteries with which they are
associated.
Parallel Operation :
For these applications, the MiCOM
E20 chargers can operate in
parallel or on-line/standby thanks
to a range of options designed to
meet such requirements.
