Operation

The TSMW-Z8 MIMO antenna comprises a reference design for MIMO capable mobiles in
the appropriate form factor

. The TSMW-Z8 holds a state tuned antenna to achieve a best
matching to 3GPP bands. A power-on switch allows stand-alone tuning. A dip switch
provides 1 out of 3 states to tune both integrated antennas and to select frequency bands
between 700 MHz to 2700 MHz. If no valid state is selected or the power is switched off, the
antenna behaves similar to state 3.

Precautions
Turn off power when not in use to conserve battery. The full operation is indicated by the red
LED. If the connected antenna is switched off, the TSMW would still show measurement
results. The antenna would work then in an un-tuned mode.

The battery lasts approx. 300 hours. The power is supplied by a single CR2032 coin cell. It
can be replaced in opening the bottom part of the case with 4 phillips screws.

The antenna must be used only indoors.
