CITY TAX INFORMATION

Whilst most taxes are generally included in the room rates, there are a few exceptions to this rule.
These exceptions are detailed below. We are unable to include these taxes in our rates and all
passengers must pay these locally directly to the hotel.

The information provided below is for guidance only.

Frauenkirchen, Austria
-Frauenkirchen.

This measure was approved by the Frauenkirchen City Council in an effort to generate additional
revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fee is as
follows:

- 1.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT

Children under 14 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

Please note: This tax is to be paid by the GUESTS directly at the hotel before the end of the stay.

Kaprun, Austria
-Kaprun.

This measure was approved by the Kaprun City Council in an effort to generate additional revenue
for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fee is as follows:

- 1.15 PER PERSON PER NIGHT

The tax will not be applied for:
Children under 15 years
Disabled guests (medical certification required)

Please note: This tax is to be paid by the GUESTS directly at the hotel before the end of the stay.

Kitzbuehel, Austria
-Kitzbuehel. The fee is as follows:

- 1.10 PER PERSON PER NIGHT

From 1st May:
- 1.80 PER PERSON PER NIGHT


Children under 16 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

Krems, Austria
-Krems, Austria. The fee is as follows:

- 1.57 PER PERSON PER NIGHT

Laa an der Thaya, Austria
-Laa an der Thaya.

This measure was approved by the Laa an der Thaya City Council in an effort to generate
additional revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The
fee is as follows:

- 1.54 PER PERSON PER NIGHT

Children under 12 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

Zell-am-See, Austria
-Zell-am-See.

This measure was approved by the Zell-am-See City Council in an effort to generate additional
revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fee is as
follows:

- 1.10 PER PERSON PER NIGHT

Children under 15 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

Sanya, China
On 1st February 2000, the city of Sanya in China introduced a new city tax. This tax is levied on
all visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen.


Please note that it will be compulsory for GUESTS to pay the charges below.

This measure was approved by the Sanya City Council in an effort to generate additional revenue
for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as follows:

- 11.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5 star hotels
- 9.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 4 star hotels
- 6.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 3 star hotels
- 4.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 2 and 1 star hotels
- 2.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in non-designated hotels (including hostels and guest
houses)

Please note: This tax is to be paid by the GUESTS directly at the hotel before the end of the stay.

Bogota, Colombia
Please note that a compulsory hotel insurance fee (seguro hotelero) is required to be paid by

From 1st January 2014, the city of Zagreb in Croatia is introducing a new city tax. This tax is
levied on all visitors.

Please note that it will be compulsory for GUESTS to pay the charges below.

This measure was approved by the Zagreb City Council in an effort to generate additional revenue
for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as follows:


- 0.96 PER PERSON PER NIGHT

Please note: This tax is to be paid by the GUESTS directly at the hotel before the end of the stay.
The tax is also payable even if the accommodation was booked and paid for before 1 January
2014.

Bad Reichenhall, Germany
-Bad Reichenhall.

This measure was approved by the Bad Reichenhall City Council in an effort to generate additional
revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fee is as
follows:

- 3.10 PER PERSON PER NIGHT

Children under 18 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

Baden-Baden, Germany
-Baden-Baden.

This measure was approved by the Baden-Baden City Council in an effort to generate additional
revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fee is as

- 3.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT

Berchtesgaden, Germany
-Berchtesgaden, Germany. The fee is as follows:

Berlin, Germany
From 1st January 2014, the city of Berlin in Germany is introducing a new city tax. The fee is as
follows:


- 5% OF NET ROOM RATE PER NIGHT excluding breakfast and VAT

Guests visiting Berlin on business will be exempt from paying this tax (proof will be required at
check-in).

Please note: This tax is to be paid by the GUESTS directly at the hotel before the end of the stay.
Bookings made prior to 1 January 2014 will be exempt.

Bremen, Germany
From 1st April 2012, the cities of Bremen and Bremerhaven in Germany are introducing a new
city tax. This tax is levied on all visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen.

Please note that it will be compulsory for GUESTS to pay the charges below.

This measure was approved by the Bremen City Council in an effort to generate additional
revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as
follows:

- 3.21 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5 and 4 star hotels
- 2.14 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 3, 2 and 1 star hotels

Children under 18 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

Please note: This tax is to be paid by the GUESTS directly at the hotel before the end of the stay.
The tax is also payable even if the accommodation was booked and paid for before 1 April 2012.

Dresden, Germany
From 1st February 2014, the city of Dresden in Germany is introducing a new city tax. The fee is
as follows:

- 1.30 PER PERSON PER NIGHT (charged up to 30 nights)

The tax will not be applied for:
Children under 18 years
Patients who are staying in Dresden for therapy
Guests visiting Dresden on business (proof will be required at check-in)

Please note: This tax is to be paid by the GUESTS directly at the hotel before the end of the stay.
The tax is also payable even if the accommodation was booked and paid for before 1 February
2014.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany
-Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. The fee is as follows:


- 2.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT

Hamburg, Germany
On 1st January 2013, the city of Hamburg in Germany introduced a new city tax. This tax is
levied on all visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen.

This measure was approved by the Hamburg City Council in an effort to generate additional
revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as
follows:

- 6.42 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 250 to 300 per
person per night
- 5.35 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 200 to 250 per
person per night
- 4.28 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 150 to 200 per
person per night
- 3.21 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 100 to 150 per
person per night
- 2.14 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 50 to 100 per

- 3.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging more than 100 per
person per night
- 2.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 50 to 100 per
person per night
- 1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 20 to 50 per
person per night
- 0.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging up to 20 per person per
night

Please note: This tax is to be paid by the GUESTS directly at the hotel before the end of the stay.
The tax is also payable even if the accommodation was booked and paid for before 1 July 2011.

Bergamo, Italy
From 1st January 2012, the city of Bergamo in Italy is introducing a new city tax. This tax is levied
on all visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen.


Please note that it will be compulsory for GUESTS to pay the charges below.

This measure was approved by the Bergamo City Council in an effort to generate additional
revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as
follows:

For stays in 4 star and 5 star hotels:
- 4.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging more than 130 per
person per night (up to 10 nights)
- 3.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 45 to 130 per
person per night (up to 10 nights)
- 3.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging less than 45 per person
per night (up to 10 nights)

For stays in 3 star hotels:
- 3.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging more than 110 per
person per night (up to 10 nights)
- 2.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 35 to 110 per
person per night (up to 10 nights)
- 2.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging less than 35 per person
per night (up to 10 nights)

For stays in 2 star hotels:
- 2.20 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging more than 75 per person
per night (up to 10 nights)
- 1.70 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 25 to 75 per
person per night (up to 10 nights)
- 1.20 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging less than 25 per person
per night (up to 10 nights)

For stays in 1 star hotels:
- 1.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging more than 40 per person
per night (up to 10 nights)
- 1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 15 to 40 per
person per night (up to 10 nights)
- 0.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging less than 15 per person
per night (up to 10 nights)

Bologna, Italy
From 1st September 2012, the city of Bologna in Italy is introducing a new city tax. This tax is

levied on all visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen.

Please note that it will be compulsory for GUESTS to pay the charges below.

This measure was approved by the Bologna City Council in an effort to generate additional
revenue for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as
follows:

- 4.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in hotels charging more than 121 per person per
night (charged up to 5 nights)
- 2.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in hotels charging from 71 to 120.99 per person per
night (charged up to 5 nights)
- 1.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in hotels charging from 31 to 70.99 per person per
night (charged up to 5 nights)
- 1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in hotels charging from 1 to 30.99 per person per
night (charged up to 5 nights)

Children under 14 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

The tax is also payable even if the accommodation was booked and paid for before 1 September
2012.

Bolzano, Italy
-Bolzano, Italy. The fee is as follows:

- 1.30 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5 and 4 star hotels
- 1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 3 star hotels
- 0.70 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 2 and 1 star hotels

Children under 14 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

Catania, Italy
On 12th September 2011, Catania in Italy introduced a new city tax. This tax is levied on all
visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen, with the exception of hostels and camp
sites.

Please note that it will be compulsory for PASSENGERS to pay the charges below.

This measure was approved by the Catania City Council in an effort to generate additional revenue
for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as follows:


- 2.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5 star hotels (charged up to 3 nights)
- 1.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 4 and 3 star hotels (charged up to 3 nights)
- 1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 2 and 1 star hotels (charged up to 3 nights)

Children under 18 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

The tax will not be applied for:
Children under 18 years
Guests staying more than 3 days - the tax wont apply from the 4th night onwards
Disabled guests and their companion (two persons excluded per disabled guest)
Patients who are staying in Catania for therapy and their companion (two persons excluded per
patient). Medical certification required.
University students and those visiting Catania on academic projects and cultural exchanges
through schools and universities
Tour guides and coach drivers (1 in every 25 passengers in a group)
Those who are residents in the municipality of Catania.

Please note: This tax is to be paid by the PASSENGER directly at the hotel before the end of the
stay.

Courmayeur, Italy
-Courmayeur, Italy. The fees are as follows:

- 3.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging more than 200
- 2.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 100.01 to 200
- 1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 70.01 to 100
- 0.80 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 40.01 to 70
- 0.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging from 20.01 to 40
- 0.20 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in accommodation charging less than 20

The tax will not be applied for:

Tour guides and coach drivers (1 in every 25 passengers in a group)
Children under 10 years
Those who are residents in the municipality of Courmayeur
Civil Protection and Red Cross volunteers

Fiuggi, Italy
On 1st June 2012, the city of Fiuggi in Italy introduced a new city tax. This tax is levied on all
visitors depending on the type of accommodation chosen.

Please note that it will be compulsory for GUESTS to pay the charges below.


This measure was approved by the Fiuggi City Council in an effort to generate additional revenue
for the improvement of services and infrastructure offered to the tourists. The fees are as follows:

- 1.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 star hotels applicable for ITALIAN
citizens (charged up to 6 nights)
- 1.00 PER PERSON PER NIGHT for stays in 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 star hotels applicable for foreign
GUESTS (charged up to 6 nights)

Children under 12 years of age will be exempt from paying this tax.

Please note: This tax is to be paid by the GUESTS directly at the hotel before the end of the stay.
The tax is also payable even if the accommodation was booked and paid for before 1 June 2012.

Florence, Italy
On 1st July 2011, the city of Florence introduced a new city tax. This tax is levied on all visitors
depending on the type of accommodation chosen, with the exception of hostels.

Please note that it will be compulsory for GUESTS to pay the charges below.
