WORK EXPERIENCE
Inolex, Philadelphia, PA 2008 May 2014
Maintenance Supervisor
Manage the maintenance department for a privately held, batch operation, cosmetics ingredients firm.
Use my contacts and resources to affect repairs in a timely manner and improve an old facility with out-of-date
equipment, while maintaining/operating safely and efficiently.
Instilled in the department of mechanics, welders and electricians the mantra and needed support,
equipment and training, that they were not just, parts- hangers, but were the first line of observation and
implementation on how to make things better/last longer, when they were broken.
Worked with operations personnel to become more knowledgeable of the equipment and how it is supposed
to work, thereby allowing ownership to take place of the said equipment and operate it the proper way.
Worked in concert with all plant personnel to improve safety and the associated issues to where we had
become complacent.
Worked with and helped the Plant Maintenance Manager to install and bring on-line a new, multi-million
dollar plant boiler and all the associated systems, on-time and within budget.
Ashland Chemical, Co., Philadelphia, PA 1999 2008
Maintenance Supervisor
Manage the maintenance department for a several million pound a month resin and plastic producing facility
within Ashland Composite Polymers Division. Utilize my industry contacts and resources to troubleshoot and
allow the plant to improve, prosper and operate safely.
Incorporated a safer type of sight glass on reactors that is being adopted division wide due to its improved
performance and reduced operating cost.
Worked within and outside the department to get buy-in on an improved communication process so that
work was done timely and correctly the first time.
Worked with various individuals across departments to write an improved line-breaking permit that was
dedicated and more concise, thus creating a safer work tool.
Snow Ball Foods, Inc., Williamstown, NJ 1998 1999
Maintenance Manager
Manage the maintenance department for a multi-million dollar a year USDA approved private poultry processing
house. Able to use my past experiences in project, personnel, parts and vendor management to keep the business
operating to its full potential with an eye on the future.
Instituted an equipment deficiency program to identify and correct all plant issues in personnel safety.
Undertook a program to isolate any and all plant utility and product leaks. Found the root cause and effected
repairs.
