First Chant:
All lost wants to be found
Black sky covered with sparkling points looks the same on every planet. At
least that's what I thought when I was a kid. However each and every planet of
our Galaxy is different. Different plants, different animals, different sky.
After graduation I was assigned as High Class Guard of one of the governing
clans. Lord Kazaeros himself gave me that position pointing that regardless of my
young age Im much more suitable for this job than any other HG. I think he
either overestimates me or underestimates my new fellow guards. Anyway, this
leads us to my person.
Who am I, you ask. I am Chief Guard of Royal Department, Akh Dhamm.
Well, it might appear simple to tell you my name and position but what does it
really mean to be someone?...
There are only 5 men above me in the whole MWG Society. They are: the
Wind Lord Kazaeros Aarivento, the Fire Lord Hika Pozhar, the Ground King Giji
Lok, the Water Master Nasui Vodha and the mightiest Ellementall Gamidio
Yakufe.
Our race lives peacefully governing the entire Galaxy for over 10mln sun years
of our planet. Because flow of time is inevitable, our home planet is aging.
Even with our element-control abilities, we cannot stop this matter and so for
centuries map men have been searching for our new home.
One planet finally matched our expectations. 3SS-east23 is her official number.
We called her Therra, which literally means, blue home.
Although a young and uninhabited planet with a strong nature balance sure
sounds great in theory, it must be tested first. Two teams were sent to check
habitability, fauna, and flora of the whole solar system, Therra included.
I'm in charge of group 1 with mission directly on Therra.
My best friend, Rokki, is in charge of group 2 with mission on neighboring
planets.
Rokki always repeats the same phrase before any mission:
No matter how far they send us, how terrifying the mission will get, mark my
words, elements are everywhere and with them we will return.
It sure would be nice if that was true. But since we discovered only 7 controllable
elements, the ones that might get us home could lose to the others.

***
Chief! Chief! First officer screamed right into my ear. Report! Were gettin
close to 3SS-east23! Temporary power loss occurred in the middle of worm-
tunnel. Supporters kept substitute air flow stable but we lost contact with
command.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

Just as I feared. At such distance without reconfiguration of communicator
settings, it is impossible to keep contact all the time.
Proceed as planned. Estimate the time of arrival and keep trying to regain
contact. Second bridge is free for now. Supporters, get some rest. Well need you
later.
Yes sir!
Dozens of soldiers left the bridge in a flash, leaving only me and captain
Megmi Yakufe on stations. Meg is the daughter of General Gamidio Yakufe - he's
probably the most powerful being in the universe. Also she volunteered to join
this mission and I think thats the reason I got tricked in this job. Damn babysitter.
But what could a warrior like me do in times of peace anyway? At least she is
pretty.
Chief her silky and delicate voice caught my attention.
What is it?
Do you think this planet, 3SS-
Therra. From now on, we call it Therra.
Right Meg sat on the chair next to communicating panel. So this planet,
Therra. Do you think it will be fine to invade it and take it for ourselves? I mean,
I know our planet is dying but what if we find some civilized race out there? Will
we invade or retreat?
I dont know. Not yet. Thats why I need to reestablish contact with base. Its
not my decision to make, and neither is yours.
She looked at me as if I was some kind of villain who only seeks power and
destruction. I knew what she was thinking about and I agree with that. If there
will be civilization, it will be their choice: either they let us stay or not.
Could you check on first bridge? Send me Khail with status report.
On my way said Meg, and she disappeared behind the cold steel doors.

***
Sir! We are in zone 3 now. Shall I call for supporters? asked a voice coming
from the intercom.
Negative. Is the arrival time set?
Yes sir. We will reach Solar System East 23 in half an hour.
Very well. Call supporters in twenty-five minutes.
Yes sir.
Intercom silenced again.

part 2

What if? The only question that cannot be answered properly because no one
knows the future.
What if if
Chief! Khail busted on the second bridge with pile of papers in his hand.
What is it? Are we?
No sir, not yet. But please look at this. and he gave me a single page from the
pile This is a scanning report. It looks like were back in action sir. Those ships
arent from MWS. Should we change the course?
Communication?
Still off.
This is bad. If we change the course without informing command first we
might get exiled for insubordination. However, if we leave those ships we might
encounter something even worse.
Call two supporters and captain Yakufe. Assign new mission's priority to C-
Class. Im going for those ships, you continue on first bridge and contact
command ASAP.
Roger
In just a few minutes my squad assembled before me. One air and one metal
supporter. It's always good to have them close.
Your names?
Mah Omd said a short chubby guy with beard that reaches the ground. Air
support.
Meh Omd said a tall skinny guy with mustaches hanging to his belly.
Metal support.
They looked a little hilarious, and I wasn't the only one to notice - when Meg
entered the bridge, she almost fell from laughter. If I wasnt chief commander, I
would do the same
Relatives?
Yes, brothers. said Meh, the tall one.
Any dangerous mission experiences?
Yes. We were supporters for Lord Kazaeros private fleet during Andromeda
Rebellion.
Great, veterans. At least they know what to do. As for Meg Well, she has no
battle experience but her knowledge and bloodline gives us advantage.
Ok. The mission is simple. We approach unallied ships and request to speak
with their fleet commander. It is a quick recon mission with eventual force-use
solution. I repeat, EVENTUAL. Do not act on your own accord. We leave in 4
minutes. Dismissed.
Supporters rushed to their quarters for supplies but Meg stayed with me. Dont
know why, though
Dont you have anything to take with you from your room?
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
6 of 84

No. Im good
It seems she doesn't get what sarcasm is Anyway, I prepared the second
bridge to detach the Sniffer from the main ship. All went well even with Meg
looking over my shoulders the whole time Annoying brat. But I cannot leave
her. Shell come in handy and here, no one else beside me can cool her down.
All set. Head to the Sniffer. Take Omd brothers with you.
And you, chief?
Ill be right there. I must take something from my room first.
And so, a few minutes later, the Sniffer separated and the recon squad left the
worm-tunnel.
Black space with small bright points Like I wasn't expecting this view.
No planets, no moons, no stars, nothing. Just a medium ship, no bigger than our
TherraN-1 without the Sniffer.
If you didn't know yet, TherraN-1 and Sniffer are spaceships standard and x-
small size respectively. TherraN is the modified series of DiscN ships created for
discovering planets. Sniffer is very small ship containing at most 4 people (2
officers & 2 supporters) used specifically for recon and infiltration missions.
TherraN series have one Sniffer each. And each team have one TherraN (at least
for now).
Ok. Time to contact those weirdoes. I grabbed the headset and typed in their
antennas frequency. This is Commanding Chief Akh Dhamm. MWS High
Guard. Do you copy? Over.
No response, not even a typical buzzing
Can you hear me? This is but I suddenly stopped.
Huge hangar gates opened from below the ship and a bright green light was all
we could see in this moment. Nothing came out so I made a move and flew inside
with the Sniffer.
Be careful, and dont act by yourself. I said looking at my team heading for
the exit doors.
Recon squad officially starts its mission. We put our cloaks on and with hoods
up, we entered the ship. But it was pitch black. So what was that blinding green
light? Never mind that, we must find the commander of this ship Or at least the
one who opened the gates. We went deeper and deeper into the hangar with the
hope of finding someone, or at least some light. But...

Second Chant:
Closed frontier
"Officer Khail! We have established voice connection with HQ. Shall we send
them the current mission status and transport report? Sir?
But Khails mind was somewhere else, somewhere where he could do anything
he wanted; he was looking into his past. Brown skies with golden rays of light
bursting through the massive clouds sure were worth remembering. But what
happened below them was a terrifying slaughter. Ocean of dead bodies, most of
them decomposed or beheaded. Friends, families, soldiers, and civilians. All that
is left is suffering and the black-haired Shiroshura Bakemono, shadowed Monster
of White War Zone.
"Sir! Orders?!" the communication officer shouted to his ear with all his
might.
"Shut up and call the generals immediately," the tall, purple-skinned, bald guy
with huge, yellow eyes calmly answered. "Can't you see he's trying to remember
his past again? Now get the generals on speaker."
"Yes sir," said the officer, and he typed some data into the console before him.
At the center of the first bridge appeared a huge holotomic flat screen. The
purple guy stood at attention before his superiors, and, with calm voice, reported:
"Chief General, sir! This is TherraN-1 on its way to planet Therra. Second
officer Qe Tohr at your services. Status report: we experienced connection loss in
the worm tunnel some time ago, but now it's reestablished. During connection
loss, our scanner noticed unallied spaceships in sector SF-11 northeast.
Commander Dhamm is on his way to investigate those ships and took a small
team composed of himself, two supporters and Captain Yakufe. Mission priority
C-Class. He should return before we enter the solar system. Estimated time of
arrival: 20 minutes. End of report. What are your orders, sir?"
Four shadowed characters looked at each other without a sound. The one on the
left, a huge, chubby character, stood up and raised his hand.
"We wait," said a slim woman sitting next to the standing man. "Call us when
Chief Dhamm returns, or when you hit SS frontier."
"Yes Ma'am! TherraN-1 out."
The big screen disappeared, and Tohr sat down on the chair behind him.
"All right, boys and girls. Now we wait for Chief and hope we get good news
from him."
"What do you mean?" asked Khail out of the blue.
"I mean," he said as he rested his head on his hand, "if something happens to
those ships this might bring trouble, and our mission is not a trouble-solvers
mission. You following? Or you swinging in the past again?"
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
8 of 84

"Yeah, I get it..." Khail moved away from the window and looked at the
monitor behind Tohr. "You know why he took Yakufe with him? Is it you who is
in charge now?"
Sarcasm and irony burst out of nowhere. The crew could almost clearly see
green and yellow lightning striking from the high officers' eyes, but both of them
smiled.
"Fine." Tohr waved his hand and left the bridge. "You're in charge. I need to
take a dump anyway, so have fun here, waiting..."
Khail sat on Commander's chair and closed his eyes smiling.

part 2:

We slowly got used to this overwhelming darkness swallowing us inside the
huge hangar. Step by step, we discovered some device resembling an elevator,
and a white room with shut down screens.
Looks like its abandoned for some time now, said Meg wiping one screen
with her sleeve. Those monitors werent used for years.
Meh, go with Yakufe and check the elevator-like thing. It looks like its made
of some unknown alloy. Meh nodded and left the screen room. You, Mah, are
going with me. There must be some generator to turn the lights on somewhere
near this room.
And so we split. Meg and Meh disappeared from my sight in a moment.
Ok, Mah. Listen to me, I whispered to Mahs ear. You cant tell anyone,
especially Yakufe, of what youre about to see. Thats an order.
Yes sir.
Since Meg wasnt around, I could freely use at least three elements at once, and,
that way, I can find the electric circuit to the generator. The only problem is that
combining water, metal and lightning elements is extremely unstable.
Meh, here. Meg opened the first part of the heavy elevator doors.
Step aside, please. He raised both of his hands, mumbled some incantation,
and closed his eyes. Black Metal Element. Chant #12. Kata Kymbe.
Clinging noise crushed silence in the hangar as the elevator started to tremble.
Meg stepped back more when the elevator fell a few floors down, and Meh went
down with it.
Meh! Meg rushed to the hole where the elevator and Meh fell into. Doors
closed right before Meg got to them, and metallic noises were coming from inside.
Meh! You okay?
Move away from the doors, the muffled voice of Meh stroked deep in her
head.
She stepped back a few meters. Doors opened and a tall caped man jumped
down from the elevator roof.
Mission accomplished. Lets go back for Chief and Mah.
O-Okay.
At this moment, the hangar was filled with faded green lights and the groups
reunited at the screen room. Mah was holding me on his shoulder while I was
heavily panting. Meg and Meh looked at each other and Meh smiled when his
eyes connected with his brothers.
What happened? Akh, are you okay?
Y-Yeah Never better. I forced myself to smile and look at her while
passing by. Hows the elevator?
Were all good. Now that the power is on we can use it without elements. Its
a high tech metallic alloy. Ive seen one of those, though they aren't easy to get.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
10 of 84

Great... Now lets move up... I let go of Mah and stood up, still panting.
These screens are out of order... No way could we use them And we still
must find the crew
After finally finding my balance and regenerating a little, I closed the screen
room and we headed to elevator. A small shadow moved behind the barrels close
by, but I was too tired to notice it. We entered the elevator, which, thanks to Meh,
was as good as new.
Up or down, sir? I saw some lights a few floors below.
No. I looked at Meh straight in the eyes and I saw that my iris blackened.
We go up. Theres nothing worth checking below.
The elevator moved, and we moved up a few floors.
Stop. Thats enough. Were going in here.
Eeeh Meg grabbed my shoulder. Chief? How do you know where to go
and where not? What exactly happened at the screen room?
Nothing happened. I looked back above my shoulder so she couldn't see my
eyes directly. Its just an experience and a hunch, dont let it bother you.
Doors opened and a blue corridor going straight forward appeared. We left the
elevator, leaving the doors open, just in case. Now the fun part begins.

Third Chant:
Enemy of my Enemy should beware
Imagine, what would happen if there is more than one of you?
What if, in a neighboring galaxy, there exists an individual so similar to
yourself that it would be impossible for anyone to tell the difference?
What would happen if, at some point in their life, those two identical
individuals meet?
What if they resemble each other not as much as they thought they should?
What would happen if, even though they looked and lived similarly, their
characters were so different that their ideals would crush one another?
Master, weve reached Tech-nom IV, and the leaders are ready to negotiate
conditions of their surrender.
Magnificent. A tall young man smiled in his commander chair. Were
rolling boys. Send the troops to all big cities. When negotiations end, well finally
be able to reach the Milky Way.
Yesir!
The tall commander stood up. He wore a long, crimson-black coat that reached
to the floor. He slowly approached the teleporting circle and put on his half-faced
mask and wide hood. He looked back at the window and glanced one last time at
the metallic landscape of skyscrapers and traffic-jammed airways - highways
made suspended in mid-air. While the ship passed the highest and the biggest
building of the Capitol, the mysterious man snapped his fingers and was
teleported to the roof of that building, where dozen of soldiers, the King of Tech-
nom System and his advisers have been waiting for the man.
Klaah hajkaal kulikkau. King of Tech-nom spoke in an unknown dialect, and
bowed before the approaching man. Callyps kallak kalia kilka. Kolkkai hjallkaj
jaklie uklila ieil ikii.
Its good to see you in person too, King Kelliuk. And please, drop this dialect,
I dont particularly like it, said the man.
Lakkiul I mean, of course, sir.
Please follow me, King, Sir, said the short adviser standing behind the King.
As the mysterious man entered the huge building with the King and his men,
hundreds of small ships separated from the gigantic ship above the city, and, with
half the speed of light, flew in all directions across the planet. Cities purely made
of metal, with only water below, reflected the sunlight from the nearby star,
slightly blinding pilots of small transporting ships.
So, King Kelliuk, what do you propose? asked the masked, hooded man. He
was so tall that he had to slouch to prevent his head from hitting the metal ceiling.
Well The King wasn't sure how to respond.
He knew that he must surrender to prevent his planets from further destruction,
even though there was no other race so advanced in technology as them.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
12 of 84

Let me, my lord. The short, bald, and blue-skinned adviser showed up from
nowhere. Commander, sir, our nation is a very peaceful and loving race, devoted
to technology and science development. We know how strong and fearless the
Ta-imu race is, and we would appreciate cessation of assaults on our planets, thus
giving away leadership of our System to you, sir. We dont want any more blood
to be shed, and more scientists to die without fulfilling their lifelong wish.
And what wish is that, Likuli? asked the mysterious man as he entered the
royal chamber after the King.
To reach the unreachable and discover the undiscovered. Thats our races
motto.
To reach the unreachable the masked man repeated as he sat on the Kings
throne and took of his hood. Yes. Id like to hear more about that
A few minutes later, in every city on the planet, huge screens appeared high on
the sky. There was the Commander of Ta-imu with his mask on sitting on the
throne of King Kelliuk. On his feet were the King and his adviser bowing.
Citizens! emanated a loud voice from the screen. Your King, Kelliuk Iklia,
surrendered, and hereby I, Commander of Ta-imu, will be the government of this
System. Do not be afraid though; your war has ended now. You are free to
research however you want. I promise, nothing bad will happen to you as long as
you become part of Ta-imu Gallaxian Empire. In every city on every planet, a
branch of my army will be stationed to protect and serve. Live in peace, my dear
scientists. Live in name of science and Mine!
Black troop soldiers jumped from the ships in every city of Tech-nom IV.
Now, my friend, the masked man said as he leaned over the bowing ex-king,
tell me: when will I reach the unreachable? Tell me about the Milky Way.

part 2

Hurry up, Meg. Were not here sightseeing you know. If we dont end it quick,
we might not catch up to TherraN-1 before it reaches the Solar System East 23
I know sir, just It looks really weird. Empty rooms with only lights. A
green light in the hangar but there was no one who opened it. An abandoned ship
but with technology much more developed than ours
I know it seems weird. Thats why we must find the bridge fast. I looked at
the floor plan on the wall. And I think were getting close.
Indeed we were. An emptied bridge with half of the equipment the crashed to
the floor awaited us behind huge, halved wooden doors. We entered without a
sound. The Omd brothers went to check the communication status and electricity
supplies. Meg and I scouted the rest of the working machines.
Wait. Meg stopped me when I was about to turn one of monitors on.
What now?
Mah, turn the lights out, Meg commanded, but Mah looked at me before
following the order.
What is it? Have you noticed something? I asked when the lights went off.
Yes, she answered peacefully. Look.
She was pointing her finger on the screen I was about to get running. There
were weird symbols, different than any languages we've ever seen. The letters
were written with some kind of fluorescence paint. Below there were six numbers.
11, 23, 254, 101, 5874, 7
What are those sir? Meh came closer leaving his brother next to light switch.
Im not sure but
They look somehow familiar. I touched the letters and numbers. Still sticky. It
cannot be paint.
Who painted it?
Its not painted. Its written. I smelled the paint-like substance from my
fingers. Its not paint. Its blood.
And those numbers?
Meg, scan them for me. Meh, Mah, search for other messages. There must be
more of them here.
We searched the whole bridge but no other message was found. I sat on the
floor and took out my bottle filled with water. While I was drinking, I looked up.
What I saw shocked me. The whole ceiling was covered by words written with
blood. Only few were readable. Milky, Way, and Callyps - whatever the latter
means.
Meg. Scan that too. Then lets lighten this place a little.

Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
14 of 84

After the lights were back on, I switched on the messaged monitor but there
was no data left - only ship plans and a few working monitoring cameras. On one
of the screens something moved. Looked like a humanoid creature, only thinner.
Isnt that the hangar with our ship?
Looks like it, sir.
Meg, Mah, you two stay here. I gave them earphones to keep in touch.
Meh, we're going there to check out what, or who that is.
Yes sir.
As we were heading downstairs in the elevator, Meg informed me of the
position of the creature. When we reached our ship, the creature was still in the
hangar.
Meh, do exactly what I tell you. Otherwise it might get nasty.
I gave instructions to Meh who instantaneously jumped on the ship and started
mumbling some chants. I took the hood off, sat on the ground and closed my eyes.
In this dark I wouldn't find a cholder an elephant like animal from my home
planet, Ellemia II even if it'd stand before me.
Oooi! Whoever you are, Im unharmed! I screamed with eyes closed.
After the echo silenced, I heard some motion below the engines. I pricked up
my ears and waited for the creature to make a sound. After a few minutes of
sitting on the ground without moving a muscle, the creature came closer from
behind me. I whispered the lightning-eyes chant to see everything nearby clearly
for a few seconds.
Lightning Element. Chant #14. Thunder Vision. I opened my eyes.
I saw everything in a yellow and light blue aura. The creature was right behind
me. I turned around and grabbed it with one hand. It was just some kid. He
must've lived on this ship alone for some time now. The second I grabbed him, I
lost my vision, but I heard Meh jumping down from the ship and felt metal
covering the boy and my hand.
Great, you blocked me with him, Meh.
Sorry sir. I didn't mean to. He released my hand from the metal coffin
covering the boy.
Meg, do you hear me? Is there any other movement seen on the screens
except ourselves?
No sir, lights are on everywhere but in the hangar, and there is definitely no
one else beside us here.
Copy. Come here with Mah and the scans of those weird writings. Well give
them to Khail for translation.
Yes sir, well be right there.
As for you, kid, I said as I looked at the boy's head bound by metal. Do you
understand what Im saying? Do you know my language? Say something.
Meh released his mouth so he could be heard speaking aloud.
Klakk iliulla. Liau lijk killij kolaku.
What? Sir, what is this dialect?
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
15 of 84

I dont know, Meh Its very interesting though
Meg and Mah met us inside the Sniffer. All was set and we were ready to fly
off. The problem was how to open the hangar. Meg went to ask the kid even
though I said its pointless. When the kid saw her face he looked surprised, and
started to cry, mumbling some word, "klaija. Meg freaked out and stepped back.
The kid stopped crying, smiled and closed his eyes. The green light shone from
inside his metal coffin and the hangar opened. We flew out with more questions
than when we entered

Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

Fourth Chant:
Home is where you live, not the other way around
Officer Khail, sir! Were here.
Stop the engines and call the Generals immediately. Tohr, track the Sniffer.
Yes, sir
Frontier of the not yet seized Solar System. Dark space, the center of Milky
Way Sector East 23. Huge gas planets, emptied wasteland planets. The closer to
the Sun, the smaller and more stable planets appear. Only one habitable planet out
of ten other planets rounding the star.
Sir, we have recent info from Chief Dhamm. Hes on his way. Hell be here
with hyper transmission engines in about 2 minutes. Tohr sat on Commanders
chair and gave Khail a single sheet of paper. Looks like your governing, sir.
He smiled like never before.
Dont make me change the next two minutes into personal horror, Qe. You
know why I got the leadership not you.
Temporary leadership
Whatever. Youve seen records of Andromeda Rebellion. I dont want my old
self to return. Khail grabbed Qes uniform and tossed him out of the bridge with
one pull. And neither do you.
Yar e yar (my oh my in Tohrs home planet language) chill it, officer The
Generals are waiting. Im off for now, your turn to entertain them. He closed the
doors still smiling.
A huge screen appeared before Khail. He stood firm and recited:
This is Officer Khail Abben, temporarily in charge of TherraN-1 mission.
Status report: Weve reached Frontier of SS-East23, and await for Chief
Dhamms team to return. All machines are working flawlessly since the
communication loss in worm-tunnel.
And what about Chief Akh Dhamms team's side mission? a shadowed
woman asked Khail, who was looking at the other Generals.
His ship is on the way back, the team is predicted to return in less than two
minutes.
Perfect. Continue as planned when Chief Dhamm returns and let us know
when you land on Therra, said the tall, chubby figure of a general on the left.
Roger.
The fat general and the lady general are the ones that usually speak; the other
three only watch, and one of them is not even on the screen But thats just how
they are. Only families and HG are allowed to talk to them right now, but it looks
like the unspoken rule might change soon.
Sir! One of soldiers ran through the doors. The Sniffer is back.
Idiot, throw them the detent, moron. Their ship is too small to grab on by
itself.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
17 of 84

Y-yesir!
Soon after that, Khail got a new command to prepare the guest room,
something to eat, and come with best translator we have. Thats a stupid
command, since Khail was the best translator we have. After a few minutes, the
room was clear and set with food on the table and only Khail inside. Doors
opened and Meg entered the room with a worried expression on her face.
Alone? she asked quietly.
Yeah, whats going on? What happened? What were those ships?
Not now, she whispered, and left the room.
A moment later, I entered the room with Meh and the mysterious kid sleeping
in his metal coffin. Khail, surprised at first, stood up as if burned. It took him
seconds to figure out whats in the metal. I gave Meh a signal to release the kid
from the box, and Meg to close the door. Mah was waiting on the other side. The
kid sat on the bed, and with half-opened eyes started to mumble again.
K-klaija Klaija kau ikilo ai. The boy repeated same phrase all the time.
Khail, do you recognize this language?
Affirmative, sir. This is definitely the mother language of Technomians,
scientific race of humanoids. Very intelligent and exploratory. We lost contact
with them even before the Andromeda Rebellion started. Their system is in the
other Galaxy. Theyre the only ones able to travel through Galaxy Passage
safely
Technomians, huh? How on hell did the Technomian kid end up on an
abandoned ship in a vast space then?
Ill try to ask him Klakuj lakil, killij uliu koi ul?
Loiu kijal kilal akkilo iuki uoulo aikul oiul.
What did he say?
He said All my family died on the ship waiting for the return or something
This dialect is very difficult.
Then maybe well leave him with you. Tell him were friends now, give him
something to drink and eat, and ask about what happened there.
Okay.
As we were about to leave the room, the kid jumped off the bed, hugged Meg,
crying and repeating klaija.
Sir Khail? asked Meg What does this klaija mean?
If Im not mistaken, he called you 'sister'"
Meg, you and Khail get as much information from the kid as you can. We
move to Therra immediately. Ill let the Generals know whats going on after I
get my questions answered. I gave Khail scans of writings on the bridge of
abandoned ship. You can translate it for me meanwhile, right?
I left the three of them in the empty room. I sent the Omd brothers to rest and
made a request they not tell anyone what they saw here. In a few minutes, the
ship slowly moved and passed SS-E23 frontier heading towards the future of our
race. Towards Therra.

part 2:

Welcome on Therra said Khail and Tohr simultaneously.
Green lands and pure blue oceans. Planet Therra. Our new home.
Boys, I smiled to them, but Meg looked at me with rage in her eyes, and
girls, were home. Khail, scan for any sign of civilization. Qe, contact me with the
Generals and Rokki. I have plenty to tell them

***
I hope you bring me good news, Kelliuk. A bored shadowed character sitting
on a throne looked up at the small ex-king of Technomians.
Y-yes, sir. We rebuilt the connector and were ready to test the portal. Would
you like to see it, sir?
Indeed. The Commander of Tai-mu stood up and entered the well lit corridor.
Show me results of your work.
There is just one small problem with the connection of our Galaxy and Milky
Way, sir.
Im listening.
Theres the problem with time flow differences.
What do you mean? The interested Commander slowed.
Well To put it simply One year here is equal to 25 years out there. And it
was two years ago since we last time traveled there.
So how many years have passed there?
Almost 50 years, sir. Probably only the oldest of MWS would remember us.
How much could they increase their power?
If our calculations are correct, sir, they should still control only seven
elements But none of them is unstoppable. And, if the 2000-years genius hasnt
been born yet, your army and our technology are more than enough to finish them
quickly.
So you do have a good news after all.
Commander and Kelliuk entered a huge hangar with rectangular shaped
construction at the exit. Beam of green light shot out in the sky creating a
pentagramic violet hole sucking air inside it. Few ships entered the hole, and soon
after, the hole disappeared. Then, something went wrong; the hole opened again
and almost all ships returned, except one.
The device started to make annoying buzzing noise. Commander and Kelliuk
went to talk to the crew of the ships.
Captain, report what happened. Commander ran towards the ships.
Sorry, Commander, but the Captain you wanted to talk to is dead. A young
pilot took of his helmet.
Tell me everything.
Looks like they had some rebellion going on and we were sent right in the
middle of it. And one ship didnt reenter the Passage. I think it was your sisters

ship, sir. They stayed till the end to cover us and didnt make it in time. Im sorry,
sir.
M-my sisters ship? KELLIUK! Furious red eyes shined bright from below
the mask when Commander hit Kelliuk in the face sending him fly 20 feet back
You insolent bastard! Whos order was it to send my sister on the test drive
through the Passage?! Speak at once or I swear youll beg for death after Im
done with you!
C-cool down, sir. The young pilot caught Commanders hand above his head.
I know whos order. Your fathers, sir. It was General Callyps, himself, who sent
her with us.
Kelliuk. When the portal can be reopened?
Sorry, sir, but if I can see correctly, whole device went down, and fixing it
acquires a lot of time
HOW LONG?!
A year, or two Maybe
Is there anything we could do to hurry this up?
Sorry, sir, but no. The recalibration of device itself took us 3 months of
calculating Nothing can be done now.
I want results, ASAP. Im leaving Tech-nom System for now. Let me know
when you fix this bloody machine.
Yes sir
The young Commander left the hangar and entered his throne room. He took
off his official cloths and put on his old training set. He left the mask on the
throne and covered his face with a hood and a scarf. Later on, his ship has been
seen leaving the atmosphere of Tech-nom IV.
Father Why? Commander switched to autopilot mode. Why her, not
me?... Why Raida?

Fifth Chant:
And so began The War
After TherraN-1 landed safely on planet Therra with one extra passenger,
Rokki, commanding officer of TherraN-2 team ended scanning of the other
planets in SS-east23 system. Rokkis ship joined Dhamms soon after that.
Therra was supposedly uninhabited planet, but TherraNs scanners found small
readings of primitive civilization First Earthlings.
Thanks to Khails translating ability Ellementalls got FE agreement to colonize
the Therra.
The boy, Kenul Oial in short Ken was the only living survivor of
Technomian ships massacre that occurred shortly after he was born. The facts are
still unknown.
Technomians coming from neighbor Galaxy are very similar to Ellementalls
but instead of developing inner power to control elements they chose the path of
science and technology. Ken, who by mistake took captain Meg Yakufe for his
long dead sister, never knew any details about his home world since he was born
on the ship he was found on.
Year after year, Generals one by one came to Therra with the rest of the
Ellementall race.
But then, when the last ship left Ellemia Prime with General Yakufe onboard
something happened Something that wasnt predictable at the moment.

***
The best Technomian scientists were working on fixing Galaxy Passage Gates
device while Young Commander returned home to speak with his father General
Callyps. He was enraged for sending his sister with untested portal and blamed
him for inability to return her home. Driven with madness and furry in his eyes he
killed his father, but not without costs. Young Callyps barely managed to survive
the clash of the most fearsome warriors of Ta-imu Gallaxian Empire.
Beaten but not defeated he swore to bring his sister Raida back, conquer as
many planets as possible and become Supreme Ruler of the Universe. Thanks to
Technomian data he found the only enemies whod stand in his way to Power.
Race from neighbor Galaxy Ellementalls. But as they are now, with only 7
elements fully controllable, their infinite potential can be stopped once and for
all
However, due to Galaxy Passage time flow disturbance time in Empire flows
25 times slower than in Milky Way. They still might grow stronger.
Callyps returned to Tech-nom IV after long two years of training, older, wiser,
stronger. He had one ace up his sleeve. He learned to control one element
neither of the Ellementalls is able to tame yet.

His ships were ready. The portal was tested, but Callyps sister wasnt found.
With bloody red eyes he wore on his mask and put on his armor, reading for the
upcoming battle.
At solar eclipse Callyps Army of Ta-imu entered Galaxy Passage Gate and
started the invasion. It was solar eclipse out there too Coincidence or fate?

***
Yakufes fleet entered worm-tunnel and General gave last glance at his
deserted and ready to die birth place. As the entrance to the tunnel was closing, he
saw what he feared those past 50 years. The Ta-imu has come.
Knowing that Ellementalls entered worm-tunnel General Commander Callyps
ordered to pursuit. Yakufes ship was faster so he had few minutes to inform
everyone on Therra about the danger and order preparations for upcoming battle.
When General Yakufe, the strongest Ellementall ever born, landed on Therra
there was no choice but to face the enemy head on.
Callyps fleet stationed on nearby planet Mavoros (aka Mars) while Callyps
alone flew on Therra to negotiate conditions of battle.
General Yakufe, as the leader of Ellementalls and the President of the MWS
confronted masked man on the Deserted Island (current Australia).
4 rules were established:
1) Battles and War cannot involve civilians and innocent creatures.
2) Battles and War are won by test of strength both Commanders and simple
warriors.
3) Battle is lost when one side surrender, retreat or Commander is dead.
4) Any battle can be paused by Challenger, person who challenge the
strongest warrior of the enemy army and is immediately won when one of them is
victorious.
And so, after few days, Callyps came on Therra and challenged the strongest
warrior General Gamidio Yakufe.

part 2:

Ellementalls! laud voice reached every person on the sandy land. I, General
Commander Callyps hereby claim the right to victory through following rule
four! Any battle can be paused by Challenger, which is me, person who
challenge strongest warrior of the enemy army! So I do! Who of you, Guards,
Captains, Officers, Generals, who is the strongest? Who will face me today? In
whose hands will you put the fate of your world? Masked man wandered in a
circle with his hands up.
Everyone stood still, we knew whats goin to happen next
You?! Callyps turned around and with surprise in his voice he looked at the
person replying to his challenge. I thought you were mere officer sent by
cowardly superiors.
This ends after one of us wins, right? calm and quiet voice of skinny man
with brown cloak and white hood was sure at ease. If I win, no more blood will
be shed for now and your army will leave our Galaxy.
General Yakufe step by step was closing in to the opponent. Callyps put his
crimson hood up and laughed.
Agreed. And if you lose, I destroy every civilized world of MWS and leave
Therra and Ellementalls for dessert.
Yakufe looked at him with cold blue eyes. It was the first time Ive seen his
face clearly, not to mention him fighting so close.
Agreed. and he rushed at Callyps with speed of sound. Wood Element.
Chant #7. Tama nai Bokken (No Soul Wooden Sword)
From nowhere in General Yakufes hand showed up almost body long wooden
black sword. Yakufe poked Callyps in his masked face but the latters reflex
allowed him to avoid hit by dashing back.
Ellement Fusion. Fire, Air, Metal, Earth Elements. Chant #1. Kat Anah
(Hardened Blade)
Good, show me if the rumors are true! Show me your races potential!
Wooden sword shortened a little and bound holder to the palm with chain.
Yakufe touched the sand with the blade which started to suck it and glow while
air revolved around it. Callyps stood undaunted and asked:
Can I ask something unrelated? Is it true that by combining elements youre
lifespan shortens a little?
Yakufe without response neither verbal nor gestural jumped back few meters
and slashed horizontally.
Chant #2. Nagaekor (Mystic slasher)
Fiery wave in the shape of the crescent bun churned the sand up and fired
towards Callyps. He simply risen one of his hands and reflected it and split it in
half. Surprised Yakufe kneeled and stuck the glowing blade in the sand. He took
off his cloak and hood revealing his body to be full of scars and tattoos.

23 of 84

Oh, I was waiting to test this one before Ill die I must admit, you have
some skills boy. Yakufe stood up and clenching his fists he smiled. Forbidden
element, time. Chant #0. Berhenti Sebentar (Momentous Stop)
After that everything I saw happened in a flash, in a blink of an eye.
Fortunately I dont need to blink much. I think I was the only one beside Generals
who saw it at all.
Yakufe jumped extremely high spinning around in all directions. Callyps
somehow was already up above and took off his crimson hood and coat. Yakufe
still spinning tried to hit Callyps bare handedly but with no effect. Bandages
covering Callyps hands fell off and he grabbed hidden small knife blades.
Yakufe unable to defend himself while spinning stopped for a moment but
Callyps was faster and cut off both his arms before kicking him down. The
moment Yakufe was supposed to hit the ground, Callyps moved even faster and
caught Generals head in midair. Then Yakufe heavily breathing whispered last
chant.
On the day of all eclipses, when one day in time will stop, what was white
will fade to black, what was black and lost, come back Forgotten element, fate.
Chant #13. Destiny curse.
Yellow and Sapphire light struck Callyps face destroying left half of his mask,
revealing that way 3 long vertical scars. The scars glowed blue and crossed on in
one point exactly in the middle of his eye.
Time went back to normal and everyone was shocked to see General dying on
the ground literally armless while Callyps was just a little tired and without a
scratch.
I won! Callyps screamed with madness HAHAHA! Now obey the rules!
The War began, but youre out of it! You get it? When all races except you will
extinct, Ill come back to finish you off! Haha and THAT was the strongest race
with unlimited potential everyone in our Empire feared? This must be a joke!
Hahaha!
Still laughing, Callyps kicked almost dead Yakufe to other Generals and called
for his ship. Fortunately Meg and her mom wasnt allowed to be here. When
Callyps was pulled into his transporter I took a good look at half of his face. Ive
seen him before, but where and how? And I remember I saw the person with
crossed on eye scars too.
Callyps fleet destroyed any technology that could let us contact and help the
rest of Milky Way. No tech, no ships, no contact and no supplies on Therra able
to replace damaged machinery.
Indeed. Callyps was right. The War has just began. And Im not going to let
him end it his way.

Sixth Chant:
Now and Then. Nothing important changed
Sensei! Sensei! Its missing the ending!
No, my young warrior, the story never ends. Have you already forgotten the
truths from the temple?
No master, but its not what I meant Look!
Young boy, no more than 10 years old, ran through the hall to the next room
with old scroll in his hand.
Lying on the couch, middle-aged man smoking a pipe took the scroll from the
boy and smiled.
My boy he unreel the paper coil, got up from the couch and pushed boy back
to the room he came from. This is just a half of what we succeeded to retrieve
after so many wars Find the scroll with this symbol on it he showed the boy
small multi-cross shaped symbol in the bottom left corner of the scroll.
Room was full of books and papers laying everywhere with no place to leave
the cup of tea for a moment. The man leaned on the doors and still smoking pipe
looked as boy was looking through the bookshelves, desk and piles of paper to
find the one scroll his master mentioned.
After few minutes of searching, boy sit tired on the floor.
What do you think youre doing, boy?
Wh What do you mean? boy asked while heavily panting.
What I mean is my business, but what should YOU do right now? Is sitting on
the floor the best way to find something? What did they taught you in the temple
anyway?
Boy's azure eyes pierced masters dark brown ones with deep sadness. The
temple is gone, the monastery crumbled, the monks are dead.
Come on, speak up, what did they taught you?
I I cant I dont know what you want to know, sensei
Tell me one rule you had to follow in the Temple and the only one I said you
can break when I took you in.
The rule still panting, black haired boy stood up and whispered No
chants are allowed without permission of the Higher Fathers.
So? Find this bloody paper and read the story to the end As I said, one must
know past to make the future And stop bugging me with questions every now
and then. Come when youre finished
Yes, sensei
The boy put on his white hood and joined his hands in praying position, then he
reached out one hand forward making it fist and whispered:
Blue sky and blue water, guide the moon and sun. Feel the tree, feel the ink.
Smell the parchment, taste its age.

He opened his eyes which glowed dark deep red and opened the outstretched
palm. The boy created small whirl above his hand sucking all the air in.
Basic Fusion. Wood and water element. Written Searcher. Come, scroll with
cross symbol.
From the huge pile of papers on the window still few old and a little burned
sheets flew up to the ceiling and fused into one long scroll.
The whirl on boys open palm stopped, there was no more wind current in the
room and scroll slowly sank onto his hooded head.
Sensei! It worked! the boy screamed rushing to the doors with rolled scroll in
his hands when he remembered last words of his current teacher.
His hand stopped before it reached the door-knob. He pulled it back, took off
the hood and looked at the scroll.
No, I think he knows boy turned around and sat on the chair in the center
of the room. No need to disturb him for now, lets get back to reading, shall we?
Mister Dhamm?
He rolled out the coil and began reading.

***
In the room across the hall Sensei took out the phone and looked at the time.
'Its late, over 3pm in the new HQ' he thought and opened window. He typed the
number and before he could hear single signal some deep male voice answered.
Father Cheng, I thing the boy is finally ready to start his actual training.
Very good. deep voice could be heard loudly even without speaker being
turned on. Its still very much time left but also many things the boy must
withstand.
What do you suggest to do?
For starters, when he finish the elder scrolls, let him pass ADAM exam
Lets see if this time Battler can survive the incoming events.
Yes father. Ill fill you in his progress shortly afterwards...
No need If I was right, and you know Im always right, this boy might be
the next Battler.
So?
What do you mean so, son? Bring him to me even if he fails, just remember
to record it all for me.
Of course, dad.
The conversation was terminated and Sensei looked at the rising above the
mountains sun. He closed the window and lighten the pipe. He took deep breath,
jumped on the couch, laid down and smiled.
'So, is the boy ready?'

part 2:

The History Records of the Great War with Time, Scroll Second written down
by Father Elijah. Thats the title that was visible at the top of the long document.
The boy sitting on the chair started reading the text out loud.
After the death of General Yakufe, The Giant Army of Time left Solar System
just like Callyps promised

***
Few hours after Gamidios funeral, I was called by the rest of Ellementall
General Council. As I walked through the city to the Council Building I passed
next to Yakufes mansion. Ms. Yakufe wasnt on the funeral, I think she couldnt
bear it after all Meg on the other hand never even shed a single tear.
I saw her eyes when she found out about the Battle. I must inform Generals she
might want to avenge her dad next time Callyps shows up.
Dhamm! Hey! Akh, here! familiar voice called me when I was about to enter
Councils Room.
Oh, its you Rok, whats up? Im wanted or something? I thought youre
assigned to The Law Forces now.
I am, and youre far from being wanted. he took me few steps back from the
door and whispered Is it true?
Is what true? I had no idea what he was talking about.
Did something happened? If yes then why am I not informed? Did Council
called me to fill me in something?
You know, man. That when General Yakufe fought this whole Commander
Callyps only Generals and those on their level could see the fight. I heard it was
so intense and fast that no one who was there and spoke with me afterwards
couldnt see a damn.
Oh, that Yeah, it was very condensed fight.
So?
What so?
Did you see anything? I mean, youre practically the only one I know whos
only one rank bellow General. You probably are on their level.
I didnt want to speak about that at the moment. Not after what happened with
Yakufe family. And not before meeting with the Council.
As I was trying to avoid answer helped came just in time.
High Guard Chief Akh Dhamm. You may enter the Council Room now. The
Generals are waiting for you.
Thanks Jegh, Im coming. I turned around and whispered to Rokki I tell you
later, maybe after diner. Meet me on the Guard Squads Training Grounds.
And I entered through the huge stone doors.
Two rows of high guard soldiers stood at alertness facing the center, making
path for me to get closer to four figures standing at the center of the room.

With my head held high as I got closer to the center, the room became more
lighted with each step I made. When I stopped in front of the Council members,
General Aarivento have spoken first as my straight superior.
Akh Dhamm, High Guard Chief, Commander of Hidden Stealth Forces and
Captain of 4th Unit Fleet Stargate. You were summoned here by remaining four
members of Ellementall General Council to be tested.
Due to sudden death of Chief General Gamidio Yakufe in combat the vacancy
in his position is crucial and must be filled as quickly as possible. said the huge
male figure standing next to Lord Kazaeros, General Giji Lok.
We considered your abilities and skills to be on a decent level to enter ADAM
test. continued Lord Kazaeros. To enter the test there must be fulfilled few
conditions. First, previous Chief General must pass away or give up his position.
Second, the successor must be on at least General level in every aspect. Third, the
successor must be considered matured and experienced by every member of the
Council and at least three High Guards. All conditions are fulfilled. You must
now state your answer, with no hesitation.
Lady Nasui came out of line. Or more like the three other Generals stepped
back a bit.
Are you ready to take responsibility over this whole planet, fate of their
inhabitants and all living things under your wings?
Yes I am. I answered with no hesitation, I will have time to think about all
this later.
Lady Nasui took one step back and Lord Hika moved to the front in her place.
Do you oath to fulfill your responsibilities and protect all things from evil
elements in times of peace as well as times of war and destruction?
I do.
Then General Lok switched places with General Hika Pozhar.
Are you prepared for the ADAM test? Remember, it will be extremely
dangerous and ends with either your death or completion. Are you prepared to put
your life at stake for peace?
I am.
All Generals stood in a line again and Lord Kazaeros reached out his hand to
me. I shook it and everyone smiled.
I had to leave the city in less than an hour. There is one condition that must be
fulfilled to complete the test. One must survive whole year in the isolated area
and gain full control over seven basic elements: water, air, lightning, flame, wood,
stone and metal.
I packed some cloths, some necessary stuff and went to the Southern Gates of
the City of Chronostary.
I bumped into Rokki half way between my quarter and the Gates.
Oh, Akh. Good luck. I heard about the test. Its extremely tough, right?
Yea, there was supposed to be other successor of General Yakufe but he died
during the test over 10 years ago.

But I needn't to hear his voice, I knew exactly what he was screaming about.

Seventh Chant:
The Test Subject
After I left Chronostary City I headed south, to the mountains.
According to notes left by the late General Yakufe, the ADAM test is divided into
8 parts called the Trials.
First trial named Inner voice require candidate to find ones inborn element.
By feeling nature and listening into the 4 main elements one is able to
communicate with inner voice, voice of ones basic power, one's basic element,
therefore the first ever used.
Usually first usage of the element happens in two years after being born so no
one is able to remember what the element was. Sometimes its the same through
whole generations. But its not a rule.
My parents died before I went to Academy and learned to control elements
properly, but as long as I remember I could always use 3 elements.
Water, Lightning and Air. It must be one of them.
When Ive walked a few miles I stopped to meditate. I was far enough from the
village not to be influenced by elements controlled there all the time. I sat on the
small hilltop in the forest near the pond.
Breath in. Breath out. Constantly thinking about my basic element I heard
whistling. It grew stronger and louder as I continued meditation. I heard nothing
more than this whistling noise.
Then as I was covered by darkness inside my thoughts I heard a voice, female
voice. It was a whisper so I couldnt hear it due to constant whistling. What an
annoying sound. But on the other hand very calm and peaceful.
The whistling volume decreased and the whispering stopped. With closed eyes
I couldnt tell how much time passed.
'Find me Find me' I heard the womans voice again 'Akh Dhamm Find
me You know me I was with you whole your life Find me'
Suddenly warm and soft wind dabbed my face and sweet chrysanthemum smell
woke me up from deep meditation.
I opened my eyes, whistling stopped and the female voice said last words:
'Feel my soul and find me on the heights'
I knew where I had to go, deep into the mountains. Luckily its summer so it
should be warm and nice up there, but still chilly and windy.
I grabbed my bag and jumped on tall birch below which I meditated. Jump by
jump I reached the top of the tree and looked around. Hundreds of miles in bushy
dark forest distended between me and the rocky hills I must go to.
I took an apple out of my bag and ate it in a flash. It was midday when I started
meditation but the moon was very high when I was awaken. I decided to go to
sleep and move out at dawn.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

Night was very calm, no wind, no clouds, clear black sky with millions of stars
and crescent moon.
I put down the fire after I ate some quail drumsticks and fell asleep.
I woke up right before the sunrise. It was chilly and the dew covered
everything around me including my cape which was covering the bag.
I flicked the dew of the cape, put it on and headed south.
Its a long way before me was what I thought of before I saw small gray
object fly in my direction from the village. It was a pigeon, used by Yakufe
family to send information safely and at long distances.
A pigeon with Yakufe crest symbol on the back and small piece of paper
pinned down to its leg landed on my shoulder.
But he flew back immediately when I unhooked the note.
I unrolled and read it:
To Akh Dhamm. Important notification from The Council and Yakufe family.
Megmi Yakufe, daughter of late General Yakufe, let his spirit rest in peace and
guide us through difficulties, left the Great City of Chronostary and is now
following after you. You are forbidden from contacting her unless she confronts
you first. Do not let her die nor kill. Shes not part of the ADAM test and is
forbidden from taking part in it. Be well and keep your mind unclouded.
Blasted woman, what have she thought? Doing such stupid thing right after
losing her father.
I heard some noise on the north, she mustve been tracking me all night.
I snapped fingers and inflamed campfire I had put down earlier. I looked at the
message last time and threw it into the fire.
Do not let her die nor kill. I said silently and gritted the campfire with earth.
I thought It will be very troublesome year and rushed south as rising sun
warmed skin on my face.

***
Meg was tired and hungry when shortly after dawn she found dying down
campfire left by Dhamm.
Damn it, I need to rest for a bit or I wont be able to catch up to him anytime
soon she sat on the wooden pale and took bottle of water out of her bag, a lot
smaller in comparison with the Akhs one.
After a short nap, around the noon, Meg gathered her things and followed
Akhs trace she picked up couple of meters south.
At the end of the day she found herself nice cave near the river. She fell asleep
very fast, unused to daylong travels.

part 2:

After 3 weeks of traveling, days and nights, tired physically and mentally, Meg
found a small wooden cottage. She thought its weird such fine house is standing
still so far away from any civilization.
She knocked on the door few times but no one answered.
She decided to knock last time when the doors opened before her on their own.
She went inside.
Beside one person bed next to the window and small wooden table on the
center, the cottage was totally emptied.
Meg sat on the bed. It was stiff and uncomfortable. How could anyone sleep on
it?
The door shut the same way they opened. On their own. Meg left her bag on
the table and opened the window. Then she noticed small piece of paper sticking
out of the window corner. She picked it up and opened. There were only 7 lines
crossed in 2 groups, one made of 5 lines, other of 2.
Seven? Meg sat on the bed again and put out the candle from lying on the
ground bag. What can it mean? First five, then two
Wait
She stopped for a second and looked at the bag. It wasnt her, this one was
bigger and heavier.
Se-seven days?! He spent here seven days? And I thought Im starting to
finally catch up on him.
She emptied Akhs bag and threw everything on the bed. There were some
clothes, kitchen gear and some bird meat leftovers.
Where did he go then? And how long ago? she put everything back into the
bag and left it on the floor where she found it.
She grabbed her bag and left the cottage in search of Akhs trace. She found
one, quite fresh footprint left south-east the cottage, in straight way to the
mountain top. She ran in that direction without second thoughts.

***
Great, I didnt lost her
I jumped from one top of the tree to another just to keep my eyes on Meg.
Shes following me for almost a month now, were getting closer to the
mountains and it will get nasty up there.
I looked behind me. Blinded by noon sun I could barely see where the sky
starts and mountains ends.
I looked down, Meg ran with all her strength, but were losing her breath
quickly.
Without proper training in the academy its nearly impossible to keep my pace,
so I had to even stop for a week.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

Fortunately I think I can fulfill first Trials condition now. And I have to do it
before Meg reach the mountain.
I started jumping south-west, to get as far from Meg as possible. She could find
my trace back in two days top if only I left her the track to follow.
In minutes I reached the mountain, tall as if there were gates to heaven on the
top. I started climbing.
When I stayed in the cottage for a week to let Meg catch up on me, I meditated
long days and nights. As Meg was getting closer, I could hear the female voice
clearer and louder. And on the last night before Meg found my hideout I heard the
woman saying this:
I know you. You should know me, but you rejected me from your memory. I
helped you countless times without a word. Now its time for you to help me
reach you. You will find me and the answer youre looking for on top of the
highest mountain before you. Go, my boy, go up and play with me.
It started getting dark before I even climbed one third of the mountain. It
mustve been at least 1500 miles high.
When moon passed the mountains and showed up on the west again I decided
to make short break. I had to replenish energy and hydrate myself to keep up
climbing for next twenty hours.
Before I noticed I fell asleep. I woke up long after dawn, sun was high enough
to make mountains a decent shadow. I drank some water and restarted climbing.
When I passed half way to the top I looked down to where Meg should be. I saw
small smoke below the neighbor mountain and smiled.
She is doing just fine. Good. I can focus on the training now
I climbed constantly for the rest of the afternoon and half of the night. I felt
like I was getting closer to the stars. Same stars I used to visit before and after
Academy. Same stars that were being destroyed by Callyps army while I could
do nothing to blow the whistle on it.
When moon set down and sky started to enlighten I finally reached the top of
the mountains. There was something I wasnt expecting. Two columns of giant
statues representing Yakufes predecessors. Each and every one of them was able
to fully understand and control at least 5 elements. At the end there was empty
platform with Generals name on it.
When I came closer to it stones started to gather on it, forming something
resembling a person. When I touched the stones wind had blown from below the
platform and threw stones high up in the sky. The stones were whirling in the sky
for couple of seconds when finally formed male figure. Huge stone statue of
General Gamidio Yakufe fell down like a feather and landed safely on the
platform.
Welcome, Akh Dhamm I heard womans voice again, but not from inside of
my head, this time from behind me.
I turned around and saw a female figure made of whirling on the wind leafs
and twigs. I never saw such beautiful thing in my entire life. Not on my home

planet, not on any other, not here on Therra either. The woman reached out to me
one hand and showed big square behind her with other.
Do you know who I am?
Of course I know, youve been introducing yourself past month I answered
while making small steps toward her.
Do you fear me?
No, I dont. Theres no need to fear my own power.
Are you ready to pass first part of The Trials? I reached my hand to her and
grabbed her hand made of swirling wind.
I am.
Then sit on the middle of the Sacred Square and tell my real name
REAL name?
Yes she let my hand go and moved back as I sat inside small circle on the
center of market size square. The name of first chant you have created. Now
close your eyes, feel my breeze and tell my name.
I closed my eyes. Breath in. Breath out. I noticed I did that slow breathing
every time I used any element even before I entered Academy.
Breath in. Warm morning mountain wind tickled my face. Breath out. It felt
like some cold steam left my body and soul. Breath in. The female voice have
spoken the last time My name
While opening my eyes with full breath I said:
Wind Element. Chant #11. Kaze Shukujo.

Eighth Chant:
Anima Dicionis Absentia Manere.
Why wont you let the girl know where you are?
Shes not suppose to take part in this test anyway, right?
So leaving her down in the forest all by herself is such a better idea?
What do you know. And why do you care anyway? Arent you just
personified wind element?
Oh, my dead Akh, indeed am. But Im also part of you now and I know what
do you think about.
Then stop it and get out of my head this instant.
Okay, okay. But I really think you should let her come up here. Especially
since you mastered my element already.
Thats right. In only three short days I was able to finish my first trial Inner
Voice. I communicated with my most basic element and mastered its full power.
So, what is the second trial? I asked and stood up after 3 days long sitting
pose meditation. Council said that second trial will appear when I finish first,
so
All my bones were frozen stiff from not moving, and I was hungry like lone
wolf exiled from his pack.
Look around. What do you see?
Not without pain of neck I turned my head both sides as ordered. I saw nothing.
Thick grey mist covered everything in range greater than 5 cm from my face. I
couldnt even see my hand reached out in front of me.
I see nothing.
So what do you feel?
Feel? I asked with consternation in my voice.
Which elements?
I felt peace and calm. Deep, freezing cold air with every breath. Nothing else.
Well? Which ones?
Air of course.
And what else?
Nothing. Only cold air.
So let me help you. You dont feel nothing you feel your second element.
Do you know what mist really is?
Mist?
Mist. Its supposed to be small water drops suspended in the air. But what does
it Wait. Water. Thats it! Its form just misled me and disturbed my sensing
abilities.
Water I whispered and smiled I can see AND feel water.
Good. Now that you know the route, you must follow it on your own.
How is this trial called?
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
35 of 84

You tell me. Its your road after all.
Her voice started to slowly fade away in my head.
Words came out of my mouth on their own accord, like they were programmed.
Second Trial, The Lost Surrounding.
Good bye then, Akh. Good luck with that man. Hes not playing as nicely as
me and sometimes his real pain in the
I lost her voice completely. Few seconds after that I noticed it wasnt the only
thing I was losing. Everything around me started to fade to black. I already
couldnt see my own palm to begin with, so I started turning around in panic. I
noticed mans figure right before I lost my vision completely.
Hello there. deep male voice rushed through my ears to my head. If you
want to see me, and get your sight back, you must call me out by my name. But
the only clue you can get is written on me.
Wh-who are you?
Oh, how rude of you. You came here to take a test and you dont even know
who are the examiners? What kind of student are you?
I stood silently and firmly, without moving a muscle while male voice
continued his vocal assault.
Where is the Old man G anyway? I cant sense him anywhere. And whore
you exactly? I thought young Rucci was supposed to be next in the line after his
father
The voice became louder and more violently pierced through my head. I sensed
someone behind me and I got hit by huge mass of water right in my face. It was
like someone had threw at me whole bucket of ice cold water.
I asked you a question boy. Speak at once or the consequences of your silence
will be unpleasant.
I-Im Akh, Akh Dhamm. General Gamidio Yakufe passed not long ago, and
his son, Rucchius died during this test. But it was years ago, back on our old
home planet.
What? Old man G died? How? No, wait, no need for words. Just think about
his death and spit forward.
The thing is, I couldnt remember that fight well after leaving the Chronostary
City, but now I could imagine the battle General had with Commander Callyps
like it happened just a few minutes ago.
I spit forward, just like the voice asked.
Hmm This Callyps guy. Hes not Ellementall is he? He looks similar, but
hes not from our reality. Even though he just mastered single element, and the
forbidden one, he was able to end Old man G in a split of a second.
After short silence the voice burst with laughter.
All right kiddo, I see you need to learn a lot fast, so let me end this childs
play right now.
My vision started to return slowly and it looked like the mist was starting to
fall down too.

As you might notice in a second, I am the Water Guide Chant. I am activated
here by Trial name said out loud, but no one can see me until my real name, the
chant, is said. As the successor you must have inner knowledge about all the
Guides so just concentrate, drink some of the water from mist and tell the chant.
Telling from your current level, Im your second element. How lucky. I could
easily come out after Lady Shukujo.
I couldnt understand much of his trash talk, but I got at least what I had to do.
While he was still explaining something, I took some of water from mist lying on
the ground and drank it.
I never had such a cold liquor in my life.
So, the basic is to make me visible to you. Then we start mastering water
element. When we finish we have to bring that hot babe from below up here. You
might not know it yet, but shes integral part of the test. And I sense she is Old
man Gs daughter. Neat, boy, first league.
I only reacted at his words about Meg below the mountains. What did he mean
by her being integral part of the test?
I can think about this later was what I thought. I had to focus on this guy for
now.
When I was going for another sip of the misty water my hands stopped and I
sat heavily on the ground.
Huh? You okay kiddo? Looking kinda pale you know
Water Element. Chant#7. Suijin.

part 2:

Dammit. Where are you Dhamm.
Meg sat on the rock near the straight vertical wall at the foot of sky-high
mountains. She took out her bota bag and drank last drops of fresh water. Shes
tired of wandering around this area for so long now. All Akhs traces disappeared
after the huge storm last week. But he definitely didnt turned back, nor any other
side. There were two options considered possible by Meg. One is that hes long
gone somewhere and misled her here on purpose. The other one is that he went
through mountains, which is more possible. But to do that, one must climb to the
top or find an underground passage. And thats what she has been doing for last
whole 2 weeks. But she never found any sign of hidden.
And if he went up there, was it him who caused so much weather disturbance
for last two weeks? First unbelievably strong foehn wind coming down from the
mountains, then this ridiculous rain for two whole days. Next was huge storm
with lightning bolts and thunders. And this week there were earthquakes and
avalanches of rocks, and now extreme heat for five days. There was only one
peaceful day, after the avalanche. What the hell caused it all. If it was Dhamm,
Im gonna kill him for leaving me here.
She looked up at the clear sky and sun hidden partially behind the mountains,
when out of the blue something small started to getting close to her from up
above. It looked like something was falling but it moved too fast for free fall and
accelerated every now and then.
Glowing in all tones of red, orange and yellow, a female figure landed before
Meg.
Whore you?
You must be the gal. You must come with me. I can see your element is fire.
Your strength is required now.
What? What do you mean? confused, Meg stood up and reached to her bag
for some weapon.
No time to explain. The boys live is at stake.
The woman dematerialized and inflamed behind the shocked Meg.
She grabbed her and jumped with tremendous speed back up on the mountain.
Where are you taking me? Meg asked when flamed woman accelerated on
pendent from the mountain rock fragment.
I said no time to explain. When the Trial ends he eventually might tell you.
You should feel lucky you can see me right on. You really are Dios kid.
In few seconds both girls reached the top of the mountains. The temperature
here resembled of young star temperature. In the middle of circle of fire and
flames of different colors and strengths sat hooded person.
Now go and help him said the flame woman who brought Meg.
And better do it fast, I cant keep him stable with my sis alone.

Meg turned around and saw a second person covered with flames. Young
woman stood firmly with her hands entwined and her eyes closed. She was
sucking the flames coming from below the person sitting in the center of the
square.
Come on, hurry up! At least if you dont want the boy to die here like the last
one.
Meg kneeled on one knee, touched the burnt ground and whispered few fire
chants. Flames around the hooded man decreased significantly, but only for a few
seconds.
Meg looked at the boy.
Akh?
The hood started to burn down and partially scorched skin barely resembled
true face of Akh Dhamm. But she knew it was him.
She rushed through flames but couldnt get close enough to stop the flames
completely. The flames created some kind of small dome above Akh. The only
way to reach him now was her voice.
Akh!! Do you hear me, Akh! But her voice was too soft and delicate to get
through the wall of fire.
Maybe we can help. Say our names and we can maximize your voice with
our flames.
What are your names then?
Ignorant girl, we cant say them ourselves, were not Ellementalls Well not
anymore
Sis! Stop this chit chat and help me, were losing him!
Meg, right? taller sister rushed to the opposite part of the square than the
younger sister was in. We cant tell you our names, but since you see us it means
you know us. We are Flame Guides.
Meg sat on the ground with fearful face.
Flame Guides? So hes taking ADAM test? The one in which my brother
died? Its impossible. Impossible.
But she stopped. She looked at Akh. Not moving so far young lad turned his
head her way, looked at her with pupil-less eyes with fire covered irises and
smiled. He moved his mouth but no voice could leave the flame dome covering
him.
Meg smiled and single tear ran down her cheek and dropped to the ground.
Flame Element. Chant#15. Kaen Shimai.
The two flame sisters were sucked inside Meg in single breath in.
Much stronger and metallic voice came out of her mouth, but still sounded as
delicate as ever.
Akh Dhamm! Stop this at once! You must control your inner flame!
No reaction. No answer.
How many Trials have he completed? she asked flame sisters inside her head.
Its his sixth one in only two weeks. He was training with almost no rest.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
39 of 84

Which one left?
I think Metal. Why? Is it that important?
Yes. He cant die of flames now. He completed wood and air which make
flame stronger but he finished water and ground as well. My brother on the other
hand was unlucky enough to have fire as his second element.
Akh! Listen to me! You must remember what Water Guide told you! What
did he told you?! AKH!!

***
But I couldnt hear her anymore. I felt my body burning but I couldnt move a
muscle, overwhelmed by power of flame induced by wind with every breath and
continuously bursting due to the wood element I mastered just before this trial.
Princess of Emotions
At least I knew what the Trial title meant.
What did Suijin said?
The only way to master water perfectly is to balance every emotion with the
opposite one. If you feel rage, forcefully clear the clouds with calm. If you feel
too peaceful and easygoing, remember the things that make you mad and get
angry. Only then water will flow through your body and mind freely.
Okay. What did I feel? At first, when I unleashed the flames I felt fear and
uneasiness. Then in time as I started to lose control over it and its strength
whelmed me completely I felt sadness and loneliness because I knew my end was
near.
So then, following Suijins guidance, I must balance my emotions and bring
forth the water to put the flames down.
Fear. When was the last time I felt courage? When I left the city? No. When I
saw Callyps fight with General? No.
I knew from the start. I looked at Meg. She mustve taken a few steps back as
my flames grew even bigger.
It was when I got the note from Yakufe mansion. I felt the courage to keep up
and not to let them down. Not to let HER die.
The flames decreased a little.
Now uneasiness. How should I counter that? Probably the best would be
readiness. I was ready to take over the flames and take the responsibility for
everything my flame had caused. Any kind of harm, I was prepared for them.
The flames diminished once again. Meg got closer and flame sisters left her
when she entered the square.
Sadness. I tried to remember the last time I was sad and what made me lose all
the sadness at once.
It was the day my parents died, when I was 7. One of the teachers from
academy came and helped me. It was Lord Kazaeros younger brother. He invited
me to the academy and told me theres no need to be sad because of my parents
death. He told me they united with all elements and by controlling them
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

I could feel their presence all the time.
I smiled.
The only flames that left were the one covering me and creating small circle
around me. I stood up. Meg came closer but I stopped her by raising hand with
open palm right in front of her.
Loneliness. There was no such feeling anymore. I turned her way, flames
disappeared completely. I smiled and opened my eyes. I saw everything in
reddish colors except for Meg. She was purely white.
Meg.
Then she run to me, hugged me and looked me deep into my still blazing,
pupil-less eyes.

Ninth Chant:
At Fall of the Horizon
Sir! Mission accomplished!
Any survivors?
No sir, not a single soul left alive.
Just as planned. Fall the fleet back to next system.
And the Mother?
Stay here to finish them. Well join you shortly captain.
Understood sir. Good luck sir.
I need no luck. I have time.
Of course sir. See you later then.
Yea, yea, dont go nice on me now. To the stars
and behind them, sir.
Every commanding officer left the bridge leaving Commander alone with his
crew. In few minutes whole fleet, ship after ship, entered worm-tunnels and left
the HaScor System. Huge battle ship half as big as the planet which it flew
around was all thats left.
Commander stood up from his chair and walked to the flahric cannon controls.
Important not, flahric cannon is an advanced weaponry specially developed to use
external elements as its own long range massive projectiles.
Is the fleet out of range?
Yessir, captain Lelaki confirmed it just now.
Get ready for the Slowed Mode.
Few officers in external commandment division rushed to graviton room.
Ready to enter the SM, sir.
We have one shot. Dont miss it. Commander put his hands inside the holes
of flahric cannon control panel. Entering SM, fire boys!
Dark green light covered the battleship and small blue spherical object slowly
got closer to the gray, lifeless planet. The moment the blue sphere hit the
atmosphere, the ball enlarged thousand times, covering the planet, and continued
to grow.
Sir, what now? Retreat?
FULL SPEED! Enter the worm-tunnel! The Slowed Mode wont last much
longer!
Engaging the dematerialization sequences. Entering worm tunnel in Slowed
Mode in 3, 2... Worm tunnel open.
Fall Back! Ill try to slow time more. We mustnt be caught in the flahric blast
at all costs!
As the huge blue blast was closing in, the Mother ship was sucked inside the
tunnel. After few seconds they passed the hyper-time zone and left the passage to
join in the rest of the fleet.

When they stopped Commander ordered to turn the ship around and whole
crew watched bright blue light eating planets from neighbor system.
The light disappeared, the space became empty with red toned dust spreading in
the wide nothingness.
Sir! This was the last one!
I know And theres still no sign of Raida or her ship.
Sir, captain Lelaki want to speak with you. He says its urgent.
Bring him to my quarter.
Yes sir!
Callyps took down his hood and mussed up his long past shoulders hair.
Destination Therra. I dont want to see that filthy blue globe by tomorrow so
no need to hurry.
Yesir!
And Callyps left the bridge and betook to his chamber. He sat on the bed and
took of his mask.
Where are you? he started muttering to himself and leant his back against the
wall
Knocking on the metal doors woke him up from the nap few minutes later.
Sir. Its captain Lelaki. Please allow me to enter. slightly muted male voice
came from behind the double layered metal covered crimson doors.
Permission granted, Buaya. Come on in. without moving a muscle Callyps
lied still.
Tall young looking man, not older than Callyps himself, entered dark chamber
with no lights. Without a word sat on the chair next to black wooden desk full of
papers piled in chaotic order. He took off his hood and sighted unnoticeably.
So, my friend, what do you have for me today that you had to see me face to
face?
Its bad. Really bad. Looks like we found the technomian ship nearby solar
system.
Crew?
None.
Monitoring working?
Yes, and... Lelaki paused for a moment. And this is where the problems
starts.
What do you mean? Callyps opened his eyes and looked at shadowed figure
looking through the papers.
Apparently there are no records of what happened with the ship or the crew.
But there is single record, unfortunately without sound, which you should see.
Lelaki took out small holoplayer from his inner coat pocket and turned it on.
This is
I know Ellementall scum
It happened not three years ago.
So just before we came to this Galaxy.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
43 of 84

Correct, and one more thing. Lelaki fast forwarded the record They came
with 4 men, left with 5.
Is there any way to find out anything more?
No, only this camera was able to record, other worked but couldnt save
anything.
Lets just hope those four Ellementall scum and that Technomian brat they
took with them are still alive.
What now? Therra?
Callyps smiled and tied his hair behind his head.
Full speed. Im going to head on first. I hope youre better at controlling your
time now?
Hey! Dont make fun of me just because you trained with awesome master
My father wasnt awesome. He was weak and easily corruptible. Callyps
stood up and put on his mask. And the only proof of his so called power is
hidden behind that mask now.
Callyps left the room leaving Lelaki alone in the darkness.
After few minutes of sitting in complete silence, Buaya took piece of plain paper
from the desk and a pen from inside of his coat.
Foolish Apo, if only hed knew what is going to happen to him. To us. he
scrubbed something on the paper and hid it in his pants pocket. Well, probably
he would still do the same foolish things, so whats the point in telling him the
truth anyway?
He looked around and closed the crimson doors which Callyps left wide open.
In total darkness Lelaki reached out front his hand with palm turned into fist.
White Lady Darkness, lend me your hideout for unseen collision. Let light
fade before us and shadow cover us until the destined meeting ends. Shadow
element. Chant #2. Informant of Chaos.
And surrounding darkness consumed him completely, transferring him to void
dimension.
With nothing around him Lelaki knew he wasnt on Callyps ship anymore. He
took few steps forward and small green fire lit his way to the place where 4 other
figures awaited him.
Master Lelaki, welcome back.
Weve been expecting you.
Is everything going according to the unspoken prophecy?
Are Callyps moves predictable?
Each of four shadows asked without waiting for others to stop, making chaotic
impossible to understand logorrhea.
Please, not at once. Its nice to be back, too bad that in this body though
Anyway, Callyps acts according to the prophecy, no need to worry in this
matter. How are things with our little Akhi?
He risen his hand before him and from the shadow came out a chair. Lelaki sat
on it and looked around. Sighted, a little disappointed.

Akh! Akh! Where are you?! Where did that big kid took of this time? Meg
searched whole house for him but he was nowhere to be found.
So where is he?
I have absolutely no idea Rokki.
You should know how to make him return fast anyway
Well, there is one chant he told me to use in emergency situations
This IS emergency Just do it!
Fine. she sighted and opened the window. Forgotten element, fate. Chant
#2. Soul derivation.
White lightning struck down from clear sky a second after Meg named the
chant. Glowing figure showed up in the window.
What is it Meg? You know that this is dangerous chant for you right now.
And supposed to be used in REAL emergency situations No offence Rokki.
Not taken bro, but it is crucial for you to return to the Chronostary. The
Council ask for your immediate attendance.
I think I told them that unless Callyps returns, Im not going to put everyone
in danger.
I know, I know. But Ken figured something out about those numbers. And he
wants to talk directly to you.
Then let him come. I know that as non-Ellementall he have to be guarded 24/7
but nothings wrong to let him leave the city once in a while.
Hes just 13, and hes not like you.
Still, I refuse to return. I havent mastered the chant to defeat Callyps yet. And
I can feel him getting close.
Fine, but it might be too late when Callyps come.
When the Time comes, Ill be ready. Until then white glowing
materialization of Akh instantaneously stood before Rokki. Do. Not. Interfere.
Im not coming back yet, and if Kens discovery is a real breakthrough then let
him come to me. Otherwise, leave us alone.
When are you planning to return physically? Meg asked and sat on the
nearby chair. Lately she was losing all her strength very often.
Before sundown. But try not to overdo it again.
And without a word with single pale glance at his best friend his spirit flew out
of the window with lightning speed.
That settles it, Rokki, hes not coming back till sunset and I think he wont be
happy to see you here when he does.
Ok, just dont let him freak out like last time okay?
You know more than anyone that its not his fault.
Yet, to use 12 elements at once to create ultimate chant? Its insane, you
shouldnt let him do it alone.
Oh, silly. Hes not doing it alone. He is never alone. she opened the doors

So you dont have to worry about his safety. If someone can do it, then its
only him.
Its just he started the moment he left the house. I dont want his kid to
live without parents like he was forced to.
I can assure you, its not going to happen.
Then say hi to Ehvi from me he looked around with consternated face
Speaking of little devil, where is she?
Probably spying on her father.
Yes, like father like daughter
He turned around, hooded up and flew away back to Chronostary City.

Buaya stood up from his chair and smiled.
Gentlemen, lady, Callyps will reach Therra in less than a day, should I slow
his actions more?
No. Akh seems ready to face the destiny you brought on him said one of
the shadows.
Good. Im tired of surpassing whole fleet this much. Be happy I managed to
make them think only 3 years passed, not the real 15. Lelaki bowed slightly and
snapped his fingers This is farewell my friends. You know what will happen
now. Take care of yourself and our people.
Farewell, General. shadows answered jointly.
Lelaki covered in darkness disappeared from their sight and appeared inside
Callyps room like he never left.
He took out the piece of paper he hid before leaving, crossed something out
and hid the note back.

Meg was in the kitchen waiting for water to boil. She couldnt use elements for
2 more months anyway. She grew tired of waiting and went outside to breath in
some fresh air. Positive aspect of living in the mountains.
Ehvi! Lunch time! but there was no answer. Ehvi!
Up here mom! young girl jumped off the roof behind her mother causing her
to jump from surprise.
D- Dont do that! I told you to stop scaring me like that. Wheres Akh?
He flew off saying he felt some kind of disturbance on the other side of the
planet. Should I fly for him? with sparks in her eyes young Ehvi clasped her
hands. Pleeease!
This instant water boiled and kettle whistled. However before Meg or Ehvi
could react, the whistling stopped.
Someone was in the kitchen.
Mom.
I know, go look inside, but dont fight. You promised to your dad.
All right.
Ehvi slowly approached the window to the kitchen. Huddled up to the wall, she
looked inside. But the kitchen was empty.
What are you doing? male voice startled her from behind. And why were
you both outside anyway, I thought it was a lunch time.
Ehvi slowly turned around wondering who it might be. Friend, foe? How to
take him down easily? And why couldnt she sense him at all? But she was more
surprised than covered with fear when she found out who the man was.
Dad! it was no one other than me, Akh Dhamm. Dont do that!
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

Huh? Dont do what exactly? Its you who act strange. and I sipped from
huge cup of tea. Is it this teenage rebellious age already? I thought 13 years
arent that much yet.
Akh, what happened, where were you? Meg asked while going in to the
house. One minute you were here, the next Ehvi say you flew away on the other
side of the planet.
Oh, its nothing really. I answered still sipping tea and standing above my
little girl. And I still want answer what were you up to here.
D-dad It was Eee she slowly moved towards the front doors. You
see Mom! Tell him!
We just heard the some rumor in the kitchen and it turns out it was just you.
Hahaha.
Okay, hahaha, I believe you for now.
We all entered the house. I looked up in the sky, sipped some more tea and
closed them behind me.
So you are ready to return, Callyps? But why were you so slow anyway? With
your mastery of time element you should be done in no more than 3-4 years. Why
then?
As I was teaching Ehvi new wind control trick I sensed something. Or more
correctly someone. A person, very powerful. Not as much as I am now, but
definitely on the level of other Generals. Who could it be? Its not evil presence.
You keep pushing the leaves like that, Ehvi. Ill be right back.
I went to the bathroom. Good thing that Meg cant use elements now that shes
pregnant. Shed scold me for dividing my soul in the bathroom.
I closed the door, opened the window and whispered.
Soul element. Chant #3. Tama Bunshin. (Doubled Soul)
From inside of my chest small light blue ball flew out of the window and
turned into other me.
Go check that source of energy. Its near Chronostary, you must not be seen.
I get it. Shadow element. Chant #5. Hidden Monk. and the clone disappeared
in his own shadow.
Hurry back.
I left the window open, flushed the toilet just in case, washed my hands and
returned back to the room. Ehvi was cheerfully having fun with leaves floating
above her head.
Not long after that my double returned. I went upstairs cuz Meg already closed
the window in the bathroom.
So? Who is it?
No one. The person disappeared shortly after I got close to it. But that person
was definitely in the
New Generals Building. And it felt like
I know how it felt. Okay. I reached hand to second me he did the same.
Chant #6. Modoshi. (Soul Return)

Few hours later, after Ehvi finally fell asleep, I approached Meg to talk to her
about the day she hoped will never come.
I want you both to stay here no matter what. He will approach above
Chronostary. No need for you to worry about him coming here.
Its not what Im worrying about.
I know. But I managed to finish the chant few years ago now, and thanks to
our little devil, I have couple other chants in my arsenal.
I smiled and hugged her like never before. I could feel her tears dropping from
her still young face on the spring green grass.
She seemed safer when I was close to her, and I felt calm when we were
together. Thats more than enough for me.
I looked at stars and almost full moon. I took a deep breath.
Dont worry I will defeat him for sure this time. I wont let Generals death
be in vein. Your father will be avenged. I just wish there was more time.
Why? You just said you were ready to
Not for me to get stronger, I should be as strong or even stronger than Callyps
as I am now.
So what do you mean? she asked still huddling to my chest, listening to my
calmly beating heart.
I mean that if there were more time I could find a way to revive your father.
I thought bringing the dead back to life was impossible even for the best
Ellementalls.
It was. But with the 13th element I could do it. Give part of my soul to bring
him to life once again.
No. Soul exchange is too dangerous, you know it.
Thats why I said I wish there was more time
We stood silent in the dark, watching at rising moon. I was thinking about the
next day. The fated day. The day the Taimu will disappear from our Galaxy and
I will probably die.

***
Sir. Callyps risen his head approvingly. We reached the destination. Planet
Therra is at our feet.
So, do we eliminate it from here again, or kill all the inhabitants first like with
the last one?
Take me down to those scum. And be sure the fleet is outside the atmosphere.
Those low-lives can control many elements, but their reach is limited.
Yes sir. The teleportation beam is ready. Are you going alone, sir?
No, I will take all four my riders with me
They are in their chambers, sir. Should I call for them?
Yes, immediately. We leave in 5 minutes. And we wont teleport, we will fly
there old-fashion way.
Yesir.

GENERALS!! THE TA-IMU HAS COME!!
Where is Great General Dhamm?
He notified us not to interfere without his permission. Hes already on the
meeting point.
Good. Send the special unit immediately. Someone have to be eye witness to
the events driven by the wheel of fate.
Yes maam! Theyre already on their way!
Where will the fight take place?
Central-North Sector 12. 500km from here.
Will the city be affected?
Probably not. Do we raise the safe-wall developed by Young mister Kenul
Oial.
Not yet. Lets just hope Akh will win quickly.

***
I landed on the cliff near the northern sea. I saw whole armada of Callyps, it
grew even bigger in those years.
Five ships flew above me and landed few kilometers away from me. I moved
there with lightning speed in a single jump. I flew up few kilometers above the
space ships. One was twice bigger than the other four. It must be Callyps. But
why isnt he alone? Did he managed to get some allies from his Galaxy?
I looked far west. Meg and Ehvi are safe there, no matter what kind of attacks I
had to encounter here, those two were safe many miles away.
I looked down, the four smaller ships opened their hatches and few people with
capes, hoods and masks arrived on the surface of Therra.
Hey, are you sure we can kill whoever we want however we want here?
Yes Ferus, and remember they arent weaklings like all the previous ones.
Good, I need some decent exercise after so much time.
Me too. Im starting to feel dull in this Galaxy.
Quiet. All three of you. Theres someone above us.
All four looked up at me. I flew down to them slowly and stopped few meters
away from them still midair.
Welcome to Therra. Who are you?
We are those who will kill all scum on this pathetic little planet.
Oh really? I landed on the ground. You have to go through me first.
Very well!
Tall buffed guy with left side of his face hidden behind the mask rushed in my
direction.
So the war has resumed at last.

Tenth Chant:
Elements Unleashed Final Showdown
One by one, four Callyps legates attacked me without success. Panting heavily,
they slowly moved back a few meters and started whispering something one to
another. There was only one thing for me to do, I had to eavesdrop their
conversation.
Chant #11. Sound wave. I blurted out and I strained my ears. The small waft
of air brought back to me laud and clear sounds of enemys voices.
Commander never mentioned anyone so strong on this planet. They couldnt
get this much stronger so quickly.
Fool, remember what he said? Be careful. Those scumbags have infinite
potential, if you wont finish them when they are weak, while you still have a
chance, they will overpower you all and outrank you in skills and abilities before
you even blink. So we must be extremely precautious here.
Yes, indeed he mentioned some crap like that.
Lets just hope there wont be more freaks like him around.
Okay, so what is the plan Behllum?
We still dont know what hes capable of, we must force him to show us his
true strength. If he exceeds us in any way, we have to gang up on him and attack
full force before he can defend.
I smiled. I still wasnt sure who said what, because their voices sounds
practically the same, but it looked like the smallest guy was in charge.
Chant #4. Sky shoes. I mumbled and instantaneously moved behind four
figures talking few meters ahead. Interesting strategy, but it wont work on me.
Tell me who you are, now.
With calm voice and fierce look on my face I waited for an answer. Half
masked faces, still shocked, looked at me ready to strike anytime.
The tall buffed guy, who rushed at me first, now took another step back. The
small, hooded guy, who in my opinion was their team leader, took his hood and
the mask off. Quite old looking man with grayed hair and small beard smiled at
me.
If you introduce yourself we might not kill you right away and eventually
answer your question.
Fine. I sighted. My name is Akh Dhamm. Im the protector of this world,
now your turn.
Four figures looked at each other and jumped back simultaneously taking off
their cloaks and masks.
They stood in curved concave line, two tall guys on the outside, small old man
and a person of unknown yet species nor gender in the middle.
We are Raiders. old man bowed and the rest followed his example. Special
soldiers unit composed of best fighters in Ta-imu Empire. I am Behllum. Behllum
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

Uahr. This creature on my left is Phthora. The tall one on my right is Rushi Ferus,
they call him Mort. The skinny guy over there is Kela Paran Fames. Nice to meet
you, Akh Dhamm, protector of the Therra.
Okay, Raiders, what do we do now?
We kill you and you die.
Sounds promising. Just one final question. Where is Callyps fleet? Where are
the ships?
I had to take them seriously now. They were small fries but still could damage
me enough for Callyps to have it easy way later. I adopted a fighting stance, right
foot forward.
They looked at each other and took their stances too.
I see. Done talking, time to take action. I said. In a blink of an eye I was right
before Ferus. In single punch this huge guy flew with ease couple meters back.
Element fusion. Stone, Fire, Wind. Chant #1. Magma Storm.
Ground below the Raiders cracked open and red spheres made of magma flew
up in the air, whirling around and trapping three raiders inside. Good, I could take
care of Ferus for a few minutes now without any of them interfering.
I jumped to Ferus and pressed him into the ground. He already almost lost
consciousness. As I though, hes the weakest of them all.
As I stamped on him he fainted. It was faster than I thought. But it was perfect
opportunity to test my new chant in battle.
I sat in the air in meditation pose. If Id enter that mode without mental
preparation Id end up dead after deactivating it.
After few minutes of accumulating elemental energy Ferus started to regain
consciousness. I had to hurry or the other Raiders will get out of Magma Storm
and help him.
I finished meditation just in time, the Magma Storm was getting weaker and
Ferus was almost fully awake, but still lying on the ground with his face in the
dirt.
I landed before him.
Master Elemental Fusion. I kneeled and put the hand on his chest. Chant #1.
Dimensional Derivation.
Gold mark appeared on the place where my hand was touching Ferus. Silver
liquid quickly burst from the small black point in the middle of the mark and
completely covered still knocked out Ferus. In a few seconds silver liquid with
Ferus trapped inside of it was sucked back by the gold mark flying in the air.
Before it fully disappeared the Magma Storm ended and the rest three Raiders
saw their comrade vanishing.
W-what did you do to Mort?! Phthora, weird creature, had spoken for the
first time.
He rushed at me without thinking, I was prepared to everything, but Uahr the
old man grabbed Phthoras shoulder half way between us.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

What are you doing, Phthora? Whatever happened to Ferus can happen to you
too if you wont stay calm and alert. Phthora calmed down and stepped back.
So, Mr. Protector, what did you do to Ferus?
I sealed him away in other dimension. If you insist on continuing this fight I
will seal all three of you too. And after the seal is shut, it cant be open for at least
twenty thousand solar years of this planet.
I steadily walked in their direction. I could sense their uneasiness and fear.
Good, but I had to get some information first.
They slowly moved back step by step getting closer to their ships.
Phthora, Kela, spread out, we cant be too close to each other or he uses this
fiery whirlwind trick on us again. this said all three surrounded me, each of them
in considerably long distance from me and each other.
Its useless. You shouldnt underestimate my race and Callyps shouldve
finished us when he had a chance. No matter how strong he thinks he is now, its
not enough to take me down, I can assure you of that. Now, surrender and leave
this Galaxy forever or be sealed for most likely eternity in closed void dimension.
The choice is yours.
They stared at me without blinking nor saying a word for a minute or two.
Suddenly they all sat on the ground and muttered something. Green flashes of
light flew out of their bodies, connecting in the midair right above me.
Was it some chant I didnt knew about yet? Probably. I should have read those
Ferus guys memory before sending him to timeless void.
Time element. Chant #23. Greenland Prison. all Raiders said it
simultaneously and accumulated green lightning above struck down at me,
creating cage-like box around me.
I smiled. I knew other variation of this element. He taught me that long ago. He
was the worst Guide of them all. My cursed father.
Lightning, Time. Chant #3. Reversal. I whispered and easily canceled the
chant three Raiders put so much strength in to perform. I think I told you your
options. You have no chance of winning against me.
All three stood up, sweating and panting.

MOM!
But Meg wasnt around. She was lying on the grass far away from house in the

couldnt stop worrying about Akh and Therra.
Then, out of nowhere, the big shadow covered whole field. Meg turn her head
to see what covered the sun. Shocked, tried to get up rapidly and get back to

good sign, and some of them were heading straight at her house. Straight at her

Yes. From the moon indeed. happy male voice came from behind the

Generals turned around. Hooded man was pointing small flahric gun at Lord

Lady Nasui took few steps forward but second gun was pointed at her from
behind. The rest of the officers took out their weapons and pointed them all at
confused Council members.
Wh-why? Who are you!? Lord Kazaeros turned around to see aggressors

Yes sir. Units 3 to 8 head to the Chronostary, the rest spread out and capture

Now, how is Mr. Protector doing? Callyps asked himself walking towards
the window. What?!
Shocked Callyps hit the glass before him. Below the ship where Raiders and
Dhamm were fighting there was only one person with at least meter long gray
hair, covered in blood. Its cloths were mostly torn apart, and the ground was
devastated wasteland. Raiders were nowhere to be found. Callyps took step back
with rage on his face.
How come?! How so fast!?! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED THERE!?
Sir! We have the footage from the outside cams from all the ships, do you
want quick fast forward hologram?
Dont ask stupid questions, just play it!

Now, dear Council. You probably wonder why have I done what I did. The
answer is simple. Revenge. You see, when I found out who killed my parents I
was shocked and infuriated. Then I met the guy from Ta-imu. He said that he will
help me get my revenge if I will be his spy. So I agreed without a slightest doubts.
Wait, you dont mean
Yes. I will help Callyps exterminate my race just for the sake of small
revenge.
But why? Wasnt Akh your best friend? Lord Pohzar spoke for the first time
in a while.
Yes, he WAS my friend. Until I found out about his fathers deeds.
Sir! Commander is on the line. He wants personal report from you, sir.
If you excuse me, I have urgent call to answer. WAHAHAHA! and he left
with the officer, leaving Council locked up with his unit ready to kill them even
for breathing.

and pulled her out of the bathroom.

Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

I turned around. I had to use the opportunity of being in this mode to destroy
the ships they flew in.
Chant #6. Metal Implosion. I walked to the closest ship, put one hand on it
and snapped my fingers.
The ship slowly started to become smaller, sucking itself to the inside. When
half of the ship was already gone, I took few steps back and watched the ship sink
into nothingness forever.
I slowly walked to the second one and repeated the procedure. Then the next
one, and the next one. After few long minutes I sat on the wasted dry ground in
front of the last remaining ship. No one came out from it and its a lot bigger than
those four previous ones. It must be someone high ranked, maybe even Callyps
himself.
I couldnt let my guard down now, but I had no energy left to keep up this
mode. I had to take a break, even if only for a quarter.
I closed my eyes, flew up few feet and started meditation. My hair went back
to normal, bruises were gone and marks on my back disappeared. I was able to
breathe freely and calmly.
I tried to sense on that last ship Callyps or anyone whod be a major threat, but
it looks like the commanding officer is hiding its presence, weak or not even there,
and its all just a diversion. Either way I had to replenish at least some of the
energy first.

***
Council! Great news! known arrogant voice came from behind the doors.
Let me present to you, the great conqueror, Commander of Ta-imu, Apo
Callyps.
The doors opened wide and hooded Callyps entered the Council commanding
room.
With most of his face hidden behind the mask he walked around the table with
map of Therra on it.
Generals unable to move were silently watching every move Callyps made.
So then, dear Generals. We meet again. You seem old. You think I havent
noticed my time perception was manipulated? Why do you think I let Lelaki get
so close in the first place? Fifteen years. Quite long time you know. And all I ever
wanted was to find my beloved sister, dear Princess Raida.
What do you want, Callyps? If you want to kill us
Kill? You? No, no, no. You see, what I seek is my sister. And since youre the
ones that rule MWS I simply assumed you must know something. I gave you a
chance when I met that guy fifteen year ago, what was his name again? Yakufe?
But he refused to give me any information. Then I started to look on my own,
why do you think I left you guys alone unchecked for so many years? After over

angry I barely held myself from killing everyone on my ship. But here I am now.
And I just want to meet him.
Him? Who? Lord Kazaeros was the first one to open his mouth.
Oh, dont play dumb on me now. The kid you took from that Technomian
ship right before I came to this Galaxy.
Lord Callyps, I think you can find Ken in closed facility below the city. Hes
kind of a genius.
Oh, genius you say. Looks like it will be a pleasure to meet him after all.
Callyps went out of the room. The moment the doors closed, four almost
simultaneous gunshots were hearable. The doors opened again and the officers
exited the room, following Callyps to the underground.
Now boys and girls, lets learn some foreign history.

(end of part 1)

Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

part 2

One half of the capital was completely leveled with the ground. The other half
was either in flames or had already burnt down and only black smoke soared from
the cinders.
Every single building I have ever visited got completely destroyed. The
underground tunnels mostly sunk in, creating few tens of meters deep craters.
What happened here?
I felt something bad happening in the Great City of Chronostary the moment I
recovered enough energy but apparently I came back too late.
I walked slowly though collapsing towers and fallen walls and buildings
covered in fire looking around, searching anyone alive. In whole city there was
not even single person left neither dead nor alive.
I understand some people ran away but for the city to be destroyed like that
without any casualties? Something was off. No corpses, no blood. It was as if all
the citizens were taken prisoners or, whats worse, turned to ashes.
The entrance to underground lab was still untouched. If Ken noticed the assault
he surely followed my instructions and recorded everything that happened.
I had to find the records if they werent destroyed nor taken away.
Behind thick metal doors very steep staircase led deep beneath the surface,
even deeper than the underground tunnels. In the middle of each level of the
staircase there was a hole leading down to the very bottom of the pit. I had no
time to go down using stairs so I simply jumped inside the hole.
After few seconds of free falling I saw small amount of light below me. In
another few seconds the light grew bigger and brighter and I landed heavily at the
bottom of the staircase. The doors to actual lab were locked and chant-proof.
On the small panel on the right I typed in emergency code known only by me and
Ken. Actually it was known by more people, they just never knew it was a used
as a code. It were numbers found on Kens ship when we found him.
Lab behind the doors also looked untouched. I found the records rather quickly,
they were being played in a loop on the screen behind Kens desk. The record
said it lasted not even ten minutes. I rewind it to the beginning.
The record starts when two hooded figures enters the lab. One of them took the
hood down. It was Callyps. The second person was unidentified but it looked like
Ken knew who it was, meaning it mustve been someone from the city. One of
our men.
Callyps and Ken talked about something for about two minutes and Ken turned
on all cameras in the city. On the screen behind him the destruction was already
in the process. Callyps left and unknown person exchanged looks with Ken. Ken
grabbed his coat and left with unknown person pointing gun at him.
The view changed to the surface, as Callyps exited the lab, followed by Ken
and hooded armed person. The citizens were being chained and teleported to the
ships above the city.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
58 of 84

The record ends with Callyps, Ken and Hooded being teleported and all ships
firing small blue balls at every building that was still standing.
Ken, what is Callyps after? I turned the screen off and left the lab.
I asked myself this question many times before, but after seeing that record I
had no clue why Callyps let us live both when he left fifteen years ago and after
he returned.
I have never felt so confused before. I couldnt kill him cold blooded without
knowing the reason for his actions. I had to find out what he really was up to.
As I left the city I sat under some random tree right behind the walls.
Everything except the city inside the walls was left alone.
I have to check other cities, if Callyps took prisoners here he might have taken
some from outside the capital too I thought to myself and closed my eyes.
Soul Element. Chant #4. Tajuu Tama Bunshin. (Multiple Double Soul)
A dozen of small white balls came out from my chest and turned into white
clones of myself right before me.
Without a word they flew out with lightning speed in all directions leaving my
original body half dead under the tree.
Theres a limit to every chant, and when one tries to exceed this limit he
usually dies. But one can still be alive when he reaches the limit and is the master
of used element.
With so many parts of my soul taken away from my body I couldnt do
anything except waiting for their return.
After approximately twenty minutes last clone returned from the city of Barhos
city the furthest away from the capital.
As I feared, all cities met the same fate as Chronostary, complete annihilation.
On their way clones havent noticed any Ellementalls living outside the cities,
even though there were many like myself and Meg who decided to leave their
towns and build houses in the forests, mountains or on the lowlands.
I fused back with most of my clones, leaving myself with only one.
Go home, check if Meg and Ehvi are safe in the hideout. Dont leave them
and dont tell them anything.
Clone left without a word. I stood up slowly. I still could sense many people on
the planet, and the fleet hasnt left the atmosphere either. What should I do?

***
Welcome! loud and deep voice of tall masked man with hooded crimson coat
standing on the platform floating above chained Ellementalls drilled inside the
heads of kneeling before him prisoners. Most of you knows me well, but fifteen
long years passed since we last met. Let me introduce myself again. I am General

The platform with Callyps and several other hooded masked armed with flahric
guns men landed in the center of the crowd. Callyps stepped down on the floor,
risen his hand and bowed.
Nice to meet you all. There are some whod like to fight back, but rest assured
this is pointless
Nothings pointless when the life is at stake said someone in the crowd
behind Callyps and the platform.
Haha, well said, whoever you are. Anyway Im here to give you an
opportunity to survive and not to die meaningless death. You can lie under my
rule and do as I command for the rest of your lives or die here and now in front of
your families and friends.
Callyps took few steps into the kneeling crowd. He stopped before young little
girl, not even 10 years old, holding wooden doll in her weak, fragile hands.
Callyps patted her head and smiled when she looked up with her emotionless eyes
at his half-hidden behind the mask face.
What would you like more, little girl? Live or die? he ripped the doll out
from girls hands and crushed its head with single grip.
Little girl looked like she didnt even noticed what happened.
Callyps stood up and laughed. After few more minutes of silent walking between
kneeling prisoners, man with crimson coat returned to the platform and flew back
up above enslaved race.
Whats it going to be? Live or death? Those who dont want to be slaves, arise.
I promise your death will be quick.
Every here and there men, women and children got up with deadly look in their
eyes. Those who stood up were hit with flahric guns by guards from the platforms
surrounding crowded prisoners.
I cant stand it, we must do something. There must be some warriors left here
who can control elements enough to fight back. pregnant woman sitting on the
ground looked at people standing up, waiting for their deaths. My husband
wouldnt let them die like this, its simply inhuman!
Calm down your voice, maam. low male voice reached from behind her I
know how you feel but the best choice right now is to sit down and wait. We
cant help those who already gave up on fighting.
Purple skinned bald man over 30 grabbed her shoulder. Qe Tohr always looked
happy and cheerful but now his face showed nothing but sadness.
Tohr, what do you mean? Do you have some kind of
Plan? Yes, we have soldiers disguised as civilians in every corner, from every
city. They wait for my signal to start the rebellion. Look there he pointed at
skinny man few meters away, kneeling on one knee, taking out blade shaped
metal object from below his pant leg. This is High Guard, same rank as your
husbands when he graduated. And there are hundreds more of us there. Dont
worry, well take you back home, all of you. Just give us time and keep an eye on
your little devil.

Ever since they got taken away her daughter havent said even single word.
She was just crouching, mumbling something under her breath. Suddenly she
tried to stand up. However her mother managed to grab her sleeve and pulled her
down before any soldier with gun noticed anything.
What are you doing? Do you want to die? What would your father say?
He said I must make a distraction. And do it now.
Who said that?
Dad. He talked to me the entire time. Talked to me inside my head.
Wh-what are you saying? Are you sure its him? Are you sure youre not
deluding?
I know what I hear, mom! Dad asked me to create an opening for him to enter
the ship before it leaves the planet. It means that he needs me to do it right NOW.
she tried to stand up again but before she noticed that she was lying on the ground
and everyone else was rapidly standing up.
Air in the hangar they were into started to whirl, all chains were unleashed and
thrown as metal spikes at guards on the platforms. People started to scream and
chant, someone almost trampled her and her mother but they both got pulled out
of the crowd full of warriors by tall black haired man with slight hoariness
underneath the platforms with armed guards.
They looked around, every civilian was pulled out of the battlefield the same
way.
Meg, Ehvi, are you all right? General would kill me if something happened to
you.

***
I felt that presence just before Callyps returned to Therra. He was close, and he
couldnt escape me. I had questions to be answered and he was probably the only
one left on Therra.
Few hours ago when my clone returned I knew something went wrong. Why
did Callyps took so many prisoners? Only people considered old were left behind,
but due to the pest 2 years ago everyone above 70 years old already died.
Well, well, well I was so caught up with my thoughts that I didnt notice
person Ive been looking for was following me for quite some time now.
I stopped in the middle of rocky wastelands, turned around and saw young man,
not much older than Callyps or myself sitting on the top of the hill nearby.
Whore you?
I think you know, you just refused to believe it the man jumped down from
the hill and landed softly couple of meters before me.
I thought you were dead, sir.
The thing is, I am dead black hooded character took small step towards me

actually my dear friend, Im sorry I never told you that and avoided you all those
years. I thought that Kazaeros will take care of you better than me, though your
parents thought otherwise.
You knew my parents?
Of course I did. Your mother was my distant cousin and your father was my
best friend. However I dont have time to tell you stories about past. You will
know them all in the right place at the right moment he took few more steps
towards me.
Okay, what does Callyps want from us? From me?
From you? Nothing more than the truth. From all of us? Help. He came to our
galaxy in search of his sister, however no matter how hard or how long he will
look for her, hes unable to find her.
Unable? Why?
Our universe is built from many similar galaxies. Each and every one of them
is different, people are different, planets are different, laws of nature are different.
There was a reason why Technomians stopped visiting our galaxy. Our race is
millions of years old but we still fail to understand the cosmos. Interaction with
neighboring galaxies can bring disastrous effects so unpredictable that they could
end everything you know. Callyps fails to understand even something as simple
as that. You can try to persuade him, but I spent last 15 years with him and I
know he wont change. His goal is to find his sister and destroy anything and
everything that stands in his way to do so. It was her ship you found on your way
to Therra, the one on which youve found that boy, Kenul. He shouldnt be in our
reality either, but whats done is done. Only he knows where Raida is.
Raida?
Its the name of Callyps sister. But when you found him he already sealed off
all of his memories. To get rid of Callyps for good you must find his sister and
defeat him in one on one battle in front of her. Only then hell listen. But if not,
well You can always seal him away. Looks like youre getting better at it.
Are you saying I cant beat him the way I am now?
Of course you cant. I couldnt lay a hand on him and youre not that much
stronger than I was. However if you enter THAT mode and use one specific chant
on yourself, you might have the upper hand.
What I heard was way too much to process properly without deeper thinking.
Nevertheless if it was the only chance to beat him, I had to know it.
Please, tell me, General
Heh, Im not a General anymore. I have a new name now. Buaya Lelaki.
Buaya Lelaki
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

Yes, and I have one more favor to ask you before I teach you the chant and we
part ways.
Name it, Buaya Lelaki, sir.
THAT form has no name yet, and its meant for battle alone. I give you a
mission to find its name. I couldnt find it but thats probably because my form
was incomplete. Yours, however, can do the trick just fine.
Find the name of THAT mode? How?
Id gladly accept that request however I have no idea where to look for it
And where have you been looking for names all this time? Remember ADAM
test?
Yes, I remembered it very well. How did I knew their names? I always knew
them, I only had to remember them.
Yes, sir. I accept the request.
Good. Also, thank you for taking care of my daughter, I couldnt think of
better husband for her than you.
Thank you, sir.
I just wish I could be here and see he happiness. I remember how she couldnt
stop talking about that mission of TherraN-1 with you as her commander
Sir? Arent we in a hurry?
Oh, yes Sorry Buaya sat on the ground in meditating position and nodding
ordered me to do the same. The chant I want to teach you is superior version to
the one youve learnt few years ago, the one made of 13th element. This chant
will show you true nature of thirteenth element and with it you will be able to
defeat any opponent, no matter which galaxy is he from.
I took deep breath. Buaya continued description of the chant.
First you use basic four elements to create an aura surrounding you. Then you
use three additional elements to enhance your natural abilities. After that you
open external source of power with the remaining five elements. But remember
not to use forbidden elements. Someone tried to do that long time ago and failed.
Who was it?
Your father of course. But I hope that Yakufe blood from your mother will
stop you from such idiocy.
I followed Buayas commands and awaited further instructions.
Good. Now you must say this full incantation, and name of the chant.
Otherwise power will flow through your body and all your veins will explode.
Nasty death, I wouldnt wish it to my worst enemy.
Whats the incantation?
When you enter THAT mode, you will know it the same way you knew
everything up till now.
Suddenly Buaya stood up and covered himself with black coat which appeared
out of thin air.
Wait! Is that it!?

Good luck, boy. Ill be watching you from the shadows, but Im too weak to

Good luck, boy. Good luck

Eleventh Chant:
Resistance of Last Resort
Left flank requires assistance, sir!
Tohr, we have free men near the exits!
Send every one of them to the edge of the left layer!
Sir! You have to see this.
Officer pointed at the row of small windows at the end of the hangar the size of
three towns. While blocking bullets from flahric cannons flying towards them, Qe
Tohr ran through the center of the hangar, where most of the guards were
surrounded by his men and forced to use up all the energy from their guns.
Temporary General of the Rebellion looked though the window but what he
saw wasnt what he expected to see.

On the moon, sir.
We must take over the ship.
Thats not all, sir. Please look up.
Thousands of Callyps fleets spaceships were covered with black-green flames,
exploding one after another. Qe looked hard at the wrecks falling limply through
the atmosphere of Therra. Then he noticed small object emitting green light like a
small star. Due to not being pure-blooded Ellementall, but the hybrid half
Elemental half Drahgsa his sense of sight was much more sharpened and field
of his vision was a lot wider and farther.
No He mumbled backing from the window. Kids
Excuse me, sir? confused officer made one step towards his superior.
Kill them all. Living guards. Unlock as many escape pods as possible and
send every old man, woman and child back to Therra! Hurry! We dont have
much time left!
Yes sir!
Soldier scrawled fast something on small piece of paper, then snapped his
fingers burning down the note. Ashes flew up and scattered in every direction.
The officer himself ran towards the center of hangar.

Mom! Mom! Ehvs plea barely made it to Meg through the screams of dying
next to them soldiers and guards, even though only meters separated Akhs girls.
Just like all the other women, children and some older men, they too were
heading to the escape capsules. Mere ten lifeboats for five persons each could
evacuate huge ship simultaneously while for transport was waiting almost one
thousand children and twice as many women and old people.
Ehvi, any updates from dad?
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
65 of 84

Yes. He orders everyone to leave this ship in next ten minutes.
Thats practically impossible. Meg grabbed daughters arm. Unless
Unless what?
Ken. Hes the only one to take everyone out of here all at once.
Ken? That weird boy from the city? That half-ass genius?
Yes. Go find mayor Tohr, that violet-skinned soldier that leads this insurgence
and tell him the exact same words dad told you.
Ehvi just nodded and started to force her way through the mass crowding near
the lifeboats. After a few seconds she managed to leave the assemblage and
looked around in search for Tohr.
Violet-skinned soldier. Violet-skinned soldier. She kept repeating that
sentence in her head trying to remember what his face looked like.
Suddenly, the person she was looking for stood before her and she would have
bump into him if she hadnt turned her head his way.
Ehvi Dhamm, what are you doing here instead of evacuating with the rest of
civilians?
I have a message from my father.
General Dhamm? What is it?
Ehvi passed on Tohr every single word of her father and when she finished
Tohrs complexion turned from purple to pale pink.
Come with me.
What about mom? She stayed at the evacuation point
She can take care of herself. Its not the first situation like this your mother
found herself dragged into and lets just hope its the last one.

***
Raiders are dead, Raida is dead, my fleet is practically ceasing to exist. If this
goes on I might even die myself. Wheres the boy?
In his cell, sir.
Bring him to me immediately, before I lose this ship too.
Yes sir!
After a brief moment, doors to the bridge opened, and short young lad with
dark skin of the olive color came through them.
Ken, right? Look out the window and tell me what you see.
Lad followed the order without a delay.
I see your fleet, Commander. However, it loses on the numbers every second.
Do you possibly know what could be the cause of something like this? Any
Ellementall weapon?
Unfortunately I have no information about any kind of weapon except the
flahric cannons. However Boy hesitated for a second. However, there exists
some logical explanation of this phenomenon. I warn you, Commander, you
wont like it though.
Explain if you dont want to lose your precious smart head.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
66 of 84

You asked me WHAT could be the cause of this destruction. And my answer
is not what, but WHO. And I think you know very well who am I talking about.
He knew. He saw him on Therra when he defeated Raiders, but the sensors
showed that his energy was roughly dropping and he shouldnt be alive by now.
And here he was, covered with blacked emerald aura, piercing through the ships
one by one as if they were nothing but clouds.
Now look through the window on the other side. Callyps indicated half
smaller window behind him. What do you see there?
Thousands of people swarmed at the corner of at least few thousands of
hectares large space dock and dozens of armed men werw finishing off the guards
who survived the rebellion.
Simply speaking? Revolt. Riot for survival. You had to know that this race
dont give up so easily, and yet you gave them fifteen years to prepare for your
return. Im percipient and intelligent highly above my age, but still, I cannot
decipher you, Commander. What powers you?
Callyps took off his mask covering over half of his face, and smiled looking at
adamant face of young man standing before him.
This scar I hide, do you possibly know how I got it?
No.
Thats quite the eventful story. When I was no more than five years old, my
father, Chief Commander and General of Ta-imu of that time, decided that I,
together with my two years older sister Raida, should sit under the best teachers
and mentors of Empire, to one day one of us could take his place. Raida, due to
being firstborn, was constantly being favored and had real aptitude for any kind
of study be it science, humanities, art or sport. Compared to her I was nobody.
At age of six, after a whole year of studying, I challenged the best student my
sister. The fight was interrupted when I was injured in the eye.
Callyps stepped closer to Ken and swiped his finger on smallest, straight and
most shallow scar going vertically over the middle of his eye.
I was then transferred as far away from Raida as it was possible he continued.
Fathers order. For five years I havent seen her nor hear anything about her. On
my eleventh birthday the letter came informing that thirteen years old Raida has
already finished all the studies and was fighting battles and conquering planets
alongside our father. Three years later, still without even being close to
graduation, I ran off from the academy and challenged Raida for a duel. Again.
Meanwhile however, she was learning for two years, under watchful eye of our
father, secret techniques of Ta-imu control over time. However, the fight ended
with a draw. When my sister congratulated me for my improvement, father
decided to punish me for insubordination.
He swiped his finger on second, slanted scar. Deeper and longer one, starting
from outer side of the eyebrow and ending at the edge of the lips.
Thats where I have my second scar from. In next year I completed all courses,
training, graduated all levels in all academies and joined fathers army. He didnt
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
67 of 84

want to teach me anything though. Not at first. When I was twenty my father sent
me to conquer so far neutral race, Technomians. Your race.
The boy looked at Callyps with no emotion.
So where did you get the third scar from?
When I successfully took control over your people, as a reward my father
agreed to introduce me to the secrets of our clan. But during that time my dear
sister wasnt sitting idly. She conquered all the rebelling planets and took charge
of major incursion on the most formidable of our enemies. Not long after that,
two years or so, she was sent here, to the Milky Way Galaxy, even though it was
supposed to be MY mission. Something went wrong and Raidas ship was the
only one who did not return from the quest. Your parents were members of her
crew, and the ship you were found on fifteen years ago was her ship. Infuriated, I
confronted my father. Do you know what he did? Laughed at me and said if
Raida couldnt manage such simple mission, how can I expect YOU to do any
better?. Something broke inside me, all the hatred towards my sister turned
against real villain my beloved father. I simply pierced his throat with the clasp
from my coat. Before he died he thrust his fingernail deep in the middle of my
forehead and slowly dragged it down through the eye to the chin Commander
pointed at the freshest, deepest and longest of the three scars.
Interesting how they all cross each other exactly in the middle of the ey-
the laugh of Callyps interrupted the sentence.
Thats actually Gamidio Yakufes doing. You see, fifteen years ago, when I
battled him, he put a sort of curse on me. But thats just a superstitious nonsense I
have no desire to ever believe in. I make my own destiny.
The window towards hangar suddenly burst. Six, armed with flahric guns,
Ellementall officers crashed through it inside the bridge aiming at every member
of Callyps crew. Commander put his mask back on and snapped his fingers.
See you in the other life, Ken. Callyps vanished in the thin air with wide
smile on his face.

***
Piercing through next battleship, I sensed that everyone left the mother-ship of
Ta-imu Empire Fleet. Everyone, including Callyps himself. Small spacecraft, a
lot smaller than Sniffer but too big for an escape pod, flew towards Therra.
There you are I thought cheerfully. You wont get away from me this
easily. But first I stopped for the first time since I left planets atmosphere.
Thousands of ships were either covered in dark green flames or falling on
Therra like a huge, worldwide meteor shower. The rest of the fleet fell back to
planet Mavoros already.
I enlarged the aura around me and I saw everything in green-scale. After
increasing the speed slightly over the speed of light I outran the remaining fleet of
Ta-imu and marked all ships in a split of the second with the exact same marking
I used to seal Callyps Raiders.

You will wait for me, but HE wont. I whispered to myself, using up the last
ounce of the oxygen in my chest.
I left the ships immobilized on the orbit of Mavoros and returned to Therra.
Callyps didnt even manage to land yet.

part 2

Tall, middle-age man opened his eyes. He was firmly holding young short
olive-skinned boy with his left hand. Black, bushy beard covering half of the
mans face foreclosed reading any kind of emotion from it.
He looked up, still holding the boys arm. Dimly yellow on the dark night sky
covered the moon completely. Only black and green streak of cloud-like smoke
curled chaotically at the center of the flash was visible for a few seconds when the
shine began to vanish.
Khalakij? bearded man with long mahogany hair with signs of hoariness in a
few places asked the boy who started to regain consciousness.
Yes. Im Im fine now the boy stood up on his own. Why do you always
talk with me in my mother language?
Aillay. Kahayal lakkaialu uhlai aillay.
Come on. I wont forget the language I was born with knowing. And you
dont sound like you need to practice it either.
The man finally let go of the young boy who brushed his clothes off of the sand
they landed on.
Ken! Khail! female voice reached them from the depths of small forest
situated nearby the sandy glade on which dozen of people tried to snap out of the
confusion caused by abrupt and distant transportation.
Pregnant woman with long red hair came out of the woods and rapidly
approached still confused Ken and lost in his thoughts Khail. Couple of meters
behind here was walking her younger copy however the color of her hair was
more orange than red.
Ken! Where is Tohr? asked the pregnant woman when both with her
daughter stood a meter away from men.
He He died on the ship before I managed to transport him with everyone
else.
How many didnt make it?
Im not sure, but around fifteen thousands. They were too weak to pierce with
superluminal speed through Therras atmosphere.
Where did you send the rest?
Theyre in the valley just behind that hill Ken pointed at few hundred meters
high white rock formation coming out from above the line of trees.
Right next to them should be the ones that managed to escape using rescue
pods. Ken looked at lurching Ehvi. First time? The transfer I mean. Any news
from General Dhamm?
Ehvi contradicted with a nod. She couldnt make herself to speak even a single
word, and her dinner was trying to come back out whenever she opened her
mouth.

Meg. Take the kids as far away from here, its not safe here. Khails tone
was deadly serious. He kept looking either up, at the sky covered with dark
clouds or around, at his men.
Fine. Ill take them to the rest and we
No. Khail grabbed Megs hand and looked her deep in the eyes. You must
go in exactly opposite direction. Especially since you are in your current state.
Why? she freed herself from the grip with second hand.
Bad sensation. Khail closed his eyes, gritted his teeth and took out broad
knife from the back pocket of his trousers. I feel it might be another Andromeda.
Meg looked at him and without the word grabbed the kids and pushed them
into the woods. Khail started resuscitate soldiers in the worst shapes.
***
The capsule in which he evacuated barely worked, there was no way to pilot it,
not to mention landing. Consumed by nights darkness planet was getting closer
with every second.
Suddenly, yellowish flash engulfed everything, blinding Callyps until the
remains of his so called ship hit the surface of the planet. While rubbing his eyes
Callyps made for the exit door. After he managed to stand safely on the ground
the ship and all the area around him were overwhelmed by fire. Tens of thousands
of screams, smell of burned flesh, they reached him before he even realized what
happened when he lost sight.
Solely the cockpit in which Callyps was sitting a minute ago stayed intact, the
rest - scattered in all directions - went up in flames, taking to the other world
thousands souls every second.
Callyps couldnt stop laughing. Groans of the dying, drowned out by Callyps
gales of laughter, began to weaken alongside burning out fire.
Callyps quiet voice got through the laughter to his ears. Commander turned
around.
Admiral Khail Aben, I wasnt expecting to see you so quickly.
You will pay for this this... Khail snapped his fingers and extinguished
completely the remaining fire. This genocide.
Fire erupted from the ground around Callyps like geyser of molten lava. Sky
lightened with bloody red but Callyps never flinched nor blinked. Standing still,
he glowered on Khail nervously trying to stop smiling.
Khail raised his hand and dozen soldiers jumped out of the insides of flaming
geysers, enclosing Callyps by the circle of fire with every step.
What would Dhamm think, Khai? Yakufe himself had no chance against me
and you send only a bunch of greenhorn kids?
Maybe they are young and not as experienced as General Yakufe, however
look at them. They survived. This is the elite of new generation, every single one
of them is at least as strong as you, when you murdered General.
Wonderful.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

Khail flapped his wrist around and twelve tall, short cut warriors jumped
simultaneously towards Callyps. Everyone of them had already a chant prepared.
In the blink of the second, however, half of them fell on the ground bleeding
generously from wounds on their necks and torso. Callyps was standing in the
same spot, but in his left hand he was holding short, broad guard-less sword made
of black metal.
The rest of the squad stopped concurrently, looking incredulously at dying
comrades.
Elite? Is that all you got after fifteen long years? Callyps impacted the sword
into the ground up til the hilt. Its a waste of time, training for weaklings like
you.
Fall back!
Khail screamed too late and second half of his elite division shared the fate of
their fallen friends. Black metal traversed underground and pierced through
young lads with thousands of grass-stalk thin blades. When Callyps took the
sword out of the ground the blades disappeared.
Your turn.
Standing behind him instantaneously, Callyps stabbed Khails chest. The last
thing Khail could see was his own blood on the tip of the blade.
***
I landed on Therra too late. Callyps has left behind him thousands of burnt
down bodies and the remains of his ship scattered on couple of acres. Only few
hours left before the sunrise and Callyps masked his live-force energy. He had to
know who was he dealing with.
Oh well. Ill better find the survivors, and Callyps has no way to flee from
Therra. Tomorrow, after replenishing my strength, I will find him no matter how
well he can hide and mask himself.
No breathing soul could be found in the place of Callyps crash landing, but the
scene of lying dead on the ground elite soldiers from Khails unit saddened me.
Even I, without my strongest element fusion, had problems fighting them in
group. With his last doze of energy, Khail, my dear friend, left me a message
from his own blood. Three crosses combined in a shape of triangle inside which
was a circle with two lines resembling analog time measuring device from ancient
times. It was a symbol which we have found in the notes on Technomian ships
walls. Below the symbol Khail wrote the set of numbers found on that ship
however one of them was crossed out.
11, 23, 254, 101, 5874, 7

My eyes glowed in azure, lightening over dozen meters of piled up corpses. If
Ken wasnt here, Khail had to sent him with Meg and Ehvi. I find girls - I find
Ken.
After less than quarter of an hour I managed to find them, whole three, hidden
safely in one the underground caves, couple of kilometers south from the
catastrophe left by Callyps.
I could barely sense them and that meant Meg was almost ready for childs
birth and Ehvi was probably too tired to constantly emanate sufficient amount of
sensible energy. Ken, due to him coming from different galaxy, was almost never
sensible with any known chant, even by me.
Ken, can I talk to you for a minute? Outside...
When we stood underneath cloudless night sky I explained the situation to
young Technomian.
If what you say is true, then the worst case scenario is starting right now
What do you mean?
The end of the world. Reset button of this galaxy has been pressed. Im not
sure when the actual end will come, but neither you nor anyone from this galaxy
can put your hands on the off switch. You cant do anything to stop it.
How much time do you think is left?
It can be thousands of years, millions, but on the other hand it might be just a
week.
I sat on the tree stump, near the entrance to the labyrinth of hidden below the
surface caves.
Is killing Callyps going to change anything?
Boy looked up at the shining stars in deep thoughtfulness.
Considering the fact that both me and Callyps come from other galaxy,
eliminating from the equation any of us might immeasurably change the fate of
Milky Way. The question arises - will that slow the upcoming end, or accelerate
it? General, can I suggest something?
As long as there is a chance of stopping Callyps and bringing back the balance
of Milky Ways fate, I have nothing to lose.
Ken smiled nonchalantly, picked up a stick from the ground and started
drawing something in the sand.

Good thing I have found this coat, looks like Dhamm cant locate me as long as
I wear it
For the last three full moons Callyps wandered about forests and mountain-
caves no further than one day away on foot from the crash-landing carnage.
In spite of appearances he managed to adapt to the climate of this planet,
learned to use its natural resources, fauna and flora. Day after day he become
stronger, waiting for the chance to confront Dhamm in one-on-one battle, capture
Technomian brat to build him a ship and return home from this godforsaken rock.
However, that chance hadnt come yet.

Its been one month since he last saw any sign of Dhamm or his little assistant.
Callyps suspected that they started looking for him someplace else.
After long weeks of solitude in out of the way wilderness, Callyps finally
decided to come back to the wreckage of his ship. He got there at dawn of
hundredth day of his stay on Therra.
Trying to open the pilot cabin doors a silent rustle in the brush few meters
behind him reached his alerted ears. When he turned around swiftly there was
nothing out there anymore. The situation repeated constantly every few seconds
until he managed to open the black steel door.
Hello, Apo, familiar female voice came from the insides of the only intact
part of the ship. Its been awhile since the last time we saw you, you look
gruesome.
That was true. Dense bristle on his face, dirty tangled hair, torn up cloths and
bloodshot, disoriented eyes gave Callyps an unusual appearance of a vagabond.
Red-haired woman came out of the cabin, holding sleeping baby in her arms.
Akh, Evi? Get out from behind these trees and say hello to our guest.
Apo turned around and watched as two dark shadows arisen from the depth of
the forest. Rising sun was blinding him so intensely that he was able to see the
faces of those two only after they were one meter before him.
I have seen your future, Apo. I have seen the future of this planet, whole
Milky Way and even your Empire. Akh reached out to Apo. I can help you
return home and make things right but only if you swear not to come back here,
ever again.
Whats the catch?
Neither you nor any of your descendants will be able to cross the border
between our two Galaxies if you accept my help.
Callyps came to the handle of his sword on his back - still as sharp as if it had
been just edged. He drew his sword, pierced it into the ground and grabbed
Dhamms hand.
Tell me more about this future, Dhamm..

Twelfth Chant:
Accepting Reality, Facing Towards Present
Callyps have been sitting motionlessly for two days and two nights, thinking
about the prophecy of the future I have foreseen.
At dawn of the third day he stood up looking at fading stars on the morning sky
which began to lighten.
Dad. He moved.
I was fast asleep as it was me who mostly watched after Callyps in his almost
catatonic state for the past two days.
Dad! Come on!, Ehvi grabbed my leg and started to drag my body from the
fir-tree I fell asleep under, across the large meadow to where Callyps was.About
ten meters later my head hit some rock sticking out from the surface of the grassy
ground and made me wake up instantaneously with terrible headache.
Ouch! Im awake, Im awake. Stop dragging me., I looked up to where
Callyps was sitting till recently. Oh, so he finally decided.
Decided on what, dad?, Ehvi let go of my leg and helped me stand as I
reached out my hand to her from cold, dewed ground.
Youll see.
Callyps started gyrating slowly, still looking above his head.
Ey! Apo. Can you hear me? Whatre you going to do then? Option A, B or
C?, I stood right before him and he lowered his eyes at me. They were empty.
Empty of emotion.
No. There is more. One more option that I can choose. And theres only one
thing you can do to stop me.
You dont mean
Callyps turned around. He slowly walked towards his sword, which was still
driven into the ground a few meters away. He grabbed the shining black blade
with one hand and with the other one the handle near the guard. With a single,
sharp pull he drove it out, pointed it at his chest and without a second of haste he
stabbed himself with one confident strike.
Dark, navy blood spurted out of his mouth second later and the sword started to
melt.
Callyps! What the hell are you, I ran to him but he stopped me after few
steps with his open palm reached out to me.
This is my choice my fate, with troubles to even breath he forced
himself to look up at the last star on the sky. The melting sword was slowly being
sucked inside his body, paralyzing him and ensuring his imminent death.
Callyps, whose strength was slowly being taken away from him, dropped on
his knees before me. Mighty and proud young Emperor waiting for his last breath.
This is the time he told me about.
No. This choice changes nothing. It was foreseen long ago.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

Ha ha ha Then why did you let me do that?
Some lessons can be learned only when the mind is ready for them.
Ehvi took a couple of steps back. I looked at her and I saw it. I saw confusion
and fear written all over her face. But she also tried very hard not to show it.
She is getting stronger, I thought, Shes just like her mother and grandfather.
Alright, Ehvi, honey, go back to the caves. Wake up your mother and wait for
me inside. I will be right there, let me just say farewell to our guest here.
It took her few seconds but Ehvi looked at me, nodded her head and ran deep
into the nearby forest separating this meadow we were at from the chain of
underground caves we decided to hide in for a little while. Once she passed the
center of the dark woods I looked at dying Callyps.
There is one thing, Apo, that I havent told you about yet. You see, I knew
what objective you had in coming to our Galaxy before you even crossed the
Passage. General Yakufe also knew that from the start. As you know the time
flow in Milky Way is different than in your Galaxy. Therefore we learned in time
to look at things from different angles, different perspectives. You are still unable
to see the bigger picture, even though I just gave you all the puzzle pieces you
need.
I grabbed the sword melting into Callyps chest and the metal started to cover
my left hand. I kneeled before him, but he couldnt even move his head to look at
me anymore, paralyzed by the metal surging through his veins. I tried to look and
sound as serious and gentle at the same time as it was possible.
There is a way, very dangerous to both of us, to bring back to you your lost
sister, Raida Callyps. It is because shes neither lost nor dead to begin with. To
help you see the bigger picture I must take you back twenty nine years ago. I was
still at the Academy back then, but my skills were already being recognized and I
joined the Lower Guard Troops. One day General Yakufe asked our superiors for
the best five of our squad. Naturally, I was one of them. We flew to a distant
system, very much like this one, called Zirioos. There we met Generals brother
and a tall woman, taller than any of us, covered with silver-crimson cape and
hood. She said she and her crew came from different Galaxy and they cant return
home for unknown reason. The Passage couldnt be open from this site and
apparently something happened on the other. She sought help however back then
there was nothing we could do. Not yet. Over ten years later, couple of years
before you used the Passage, the seven of us met with her once again. Yakufe
tracked down her and fifteen of her crew members that were still alive, hiding in
the lost system, where already unstable sun could implode at any time. We went
there to share with Raida what General and his brother have found in Great Milky
Library. They learned that there exists a chant, very powerful and difficult to
master, the one I told you about, that allows user to temporarily disrupt reality
and create artificial passage between the galaxies, parallel to the Galaxy Passage
used by Technomians. But the price was too big for her. She couldnt accept that
only single person per Galaxian Year can safely pass through the artificial

passage casted by one user. And there wasnt anyone else but General Yakufe
strong enough to even learn that chant, not to mention safely guide someone
through it.
I smiled, more and more of the melted black metal stuck to my left forearm,
looking for a way to melt into my veins.
Do you know what she told us? Im not like my father, I cant abandon my
crew, my real family, If we cant all go back, we will wait. Until one of you create
a chant to send us all home. In order to boost up a chant this powerful even more
one must be able to enter the Sacred Form. Officially, that form still has no name,
even though some Generals were able to use it generations ago. And only the one
who is stronger than Generals can do it.
Callyps still immobilized forced himself to look into my eyes, trying to picture
what form would that be.
I used that form to exterminate your fleet and to seal away all of your four
Raiders. Yakufe was willing to sacrifice his own lifespan to do that, however his
plans were interrupted as you challenged us right after we left our previous
system. That curse he casted on you, I know all about it. I know its purpose, its
meaning. Thats also why he tried to make you believe time passed for you
slower than it actually did. Thats why he kept an eye on you. He saw hatred and
anger in your eyes, unlike in your sisters. He tried to give you time, but once you
learned how to control it, you lost the ability to see its true nature. He couldnt let
that angry boy who you were fifteen years ago face his kind and caring sister. But
you failed him, and her. But that mark on your eye will never disappear, and it
will prevent you from dying too. Thats right, your efforts just jumped off the
cliff. Until the cure is fulfilled you cant die, as the curse itself is the key to open
multiple artificial passages at once.
I started to pull out the sword out of Apos chest, but single strings of half
melted metal were still connected to the melted parts mixed up with his blood.
Thats why you cant die yet.
Sword melting in my hand covered almost whole my left arm and started to
engulf my shoulder, back and neck. With one strong pull I drove the remaining
parts of the sword out of Apos body, threw away the sword which after losing
contact with Callyps body started to harden very fast, and sat cross-legged next
to him.
Cloudless sky welcomed the sunrise with the disappearance of the last star.
Beams of warm sunlight reached us from above vast hills on the east. New day
has come.
I started inhaling chilly air and Callyps started to regain a little bit of control
over his own body.
Why?, he asked, spitting his much more darker due to melted metal blood
again.
Simple. I know exactly where your sister is, how to send you home and get rid
of the curse. But I wont help you until you help yourself.

I closed my eyes. For about half an hour we were just sitting and kneeling in
the middle of empty meadow doing absolutely nothing but thinking.
Do you start to see the bigger picture now, Apo? You are both from different
Galaxy with different time flow, so you dont age here like we do. Why do you
think Ken still looks like a teenager even after fifteen years here? And how old do
you think he really is?
After ten more minutes Ehvi peeked from behind the nearest tree. She had her
sleeping brother wrapped on her back.
What is it, Ehvi? Why arent you waiting in the caves?
Mom sent me., Ehvi came out from the forest and started walking towards us.
She said: If he has time to play with Apo he could at least let the rest of us use
the night to the fullest. Ive been waking up every hour because of your brothers
crying. Next time Im dealing with the guests and hes dealing with the kids. Go
tell him that right now. Then she sent Ken for something up in the mountains and
kicked us out of the caves.
Well, you heard that, Apo? At least you dont have to deal with this kind of
problems.
I stood up and brushed out my clothes from dust and dew. Callyps laid on his
back and fell asleep.
It was eventful night. Well let him rest for a bit., I placed my right hand on
his wounded chest and snapped my fingers of the left. Now he wont wake up
for a couple of hours, and if he gets lucky he might even have a nice dream.

part 2

The sun was rising. First direct rays of warm light hit his face as he was sitting
on the edge of the cliff with the empty piece of paper in his hands.
What are you doing here so early in the morning?
The reddish-orange haired woman sat right next to him.
I was just thinking about what father told me once before. Great General
Dhamm, what a man.
The caped young man looked at the unrolled parchment in his hands.
Sometimes I wonder how he would deal with this new world. What would he
do in our stead.
You know you can always ask him, right?
Its not the same. I wish I knew him for a little while longer. Talking to ghosts
seems somehow fake to me. It just doesnt feel the same.
I wish you had a chance to meet mother though. She was strong, and kind,
and
Very beautiful. Yes, you always say that.
They both smiled at the exact same moment and looked at one another. The
cliff edge seemed cold due to rocky ground and chilly breeze from the ocean, but
they enjoyed it like a nice dawn in summer.
The woman, in her late thirties, stood up abruptly, turned around and ran with a
speed precluding anyone from even seeing her move, leaving only small dust
clouds behind her.
The young lad in his twenties continued staring at the steadily ascending away
from the horizon red sun. Above the mountain peak on the west was still partially
visible moon and a few barely noticeable stars.
Father. This new world has a lot to offer, you were not mistaken in that.
However was your decision correct one? Was locking up Callyps in this other
dimension a wise choice? Was mother right to give up her soul to us too? Wasnt
there anything else, better, that we could do? Sometimes I feel like this couldve
happen differently if I was older or if I wasnt there at all.
Lost in his own thoughts, unanswered questions and unspoken speculations the
young man didnt notice a change of the scenery. The clouds were gathering
slowly in the south, the breeze stopped almost completely and the parchment in
his hand unveiled its hidden message.
***
Ken! Ken!, the scream was hearable in the entire city but the man named
Ken was nowhere to be found.
Master Ken! Where are you?! Master Ken!, even children started looking for
the oldest person in whole Northern Continent.
Kenul Oial, Master of the Cristal Order, wise Technomian Mage, the last eye-
witness of the beginnings of the Afou Taimu age, master of no elements, creator
of the Tools of Elema.

Man with many names, known throughout the world as the Great Advisor.
Ken! Master! Are you still in the city?! Ken!
The screams continued until the sunset. The old, gray haired man with wizened
olive skin was sound asleep, sitting under an oak tree near the Main Gate.
A young boy found him soon after dark when the search was postponed. Ken
woke up in an instant mumbling something about the Galaxial Passage and the
way to return time to where it belongs. But after few seconds his consciousness
took over and he looked at confused boy who woke him up.
Oh. Hello, dear lad. Your name is Mikka, right? Son of Mallia the huntress.
What are you doing outside the town so late?
Everyone was looking for you, Master. For an entire afternoon. Didnt you
hear us?
Oh, Im sorry, dear. Im much, much older than I look, and it looks like time
is finally starting to catch up with me.
Mikka helped old master to stand up and gave him the staff lying on the tree
branch above the place Ken was sleeping at.
Thank you, Mikka. I think its time to go back for some dinner and tell you all
kids about the truths of this and other worlds.
Will you tell us about the Great Conqueror again? Or about the Forgotten
Ages? Me and my friends love those stories.
Of course, whatever satisfy you, young ones. Now, lets hurry. I feel like I
overslept a few meals. Hahaha.
***
Later that night, when everyone fell asleep and the city was covered in
darkness and silence, Ken opened the passage leading underground, hidden under
his house.
He pressed a rectangular shaped button near the ceiling and deep below, where
the steep stairs were leading to, intense blue light appeared.
Step by step, one stair at the time, Ken took his time to get to the bottom of the
passage. Vast room was well lit and dozens of shelves were filled with books,
piles of papers and dusted tools unused for centuries.
Ken walked slowly towards long, curved table in the center of the room. He
took one piece of yellowed paper, with one of the corners slightly burned. It was
long scroll, unrolled at the top. The content was written in Technomian, by hand.
Kahilja Gruhania. Forgotten Beginning. Unknown to still primitive human
race story of the starting points of the end of their Galaxy.
Ken unrolled the bottom. While reading the last paragraph he sat on the top of
the desk and sighed.
How long will you make me keep this hidden? Isnt this past millennium
enough yet? Arent they ready to know the truth yet? They learned so many
things by themselves already, cant I just pass this task to someone else now and
join you guys on the other side?
Only silence answered his questions. He just kept staring at the letters for a bit.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning

Arent you satisfied yet? Meg? Akh? Ehvi? I know you can hear me, I know
you are still here, guarding the truth until the right time comes. Im old, and tired.
I wish I didnt agree to this stupid idea of yours, General. I wish it has turned out
differently.
But wishes are nothing more than wishes, Ken.
A whisper reached his ears. Soft, gentle voice of a long lost friend appeared
from nothingness.
You did well. You kept your promise. The time has come to take the truth to the
next generation. A millennium has passed not without a reason. Millennium full
of suffering, loneliness, apathy and emotionless observations. The DNA has been
accepted, now the heirs will come. Weak in bodies, but strong in hearts and souls.
As he lost himself in the voice of a friend deeply echoing in his mind, the night
passed faster than any other night before.
Where Where do I go then?
Only you know where to go. Only you know where to look. You are the
knowledge and you are the wisdom. Believe in your soul and your heritage. You
are the last pure blooded Technomian in the Milky Way. No one but you can send
the truth to the right person. Now go, your time is near. Your soul will join us
soon. Go, my friend.
He stood up. He took couple of books and unused tools from shelves around
him, put them all in a bag, and with a smile on his face, determination in his eyes,
scrolled parchment in one hand and old wooden staff in the other, he climbed
back up to the place he called home for the last 20 years.
The hidden passage closed. He pulled out the button he used earlier and put it
in his bag.
This is a new day. Not only for you, but for the entire world. Everything that
happened for the last thousand years happened to lead you to this day.
With this last sentence in his head he vigorously left the small house and before
leaving the city he visited the chief.
My time has come, child. I must go and fulfill what I was meant to do. But
fear not, you have my teachings with you and you will be fine. Remember that
night is just as important as day, fearing one or the other is not going to stop
them from happening. Embrace the difficulties and your city will live on.
Thank you, Master, for everything you did. If you ever visit these parts again
you will always find here shelter.
Everyone gathered as Ken was walking out of the city through the Main Gate.
***
In the northern region of the Western Continent was a small village covered by
snow. A man and a woman covered by dirtied white fur was keeping the big fire
burning on the outskirts of the village.
The noon of the shortest day of the year was nearing, and the hunters were
gone for a whole week now. Only children and elderly were still in the village.
From afar a single silhouette was closing in on the two guards of the fire.

None of them noticed a man approaching the village until he showed up behind
them and asked for warmed water.
I am Kenul Ouil. I wish to see with The Guardian Spirit. Where can I find
him?
None of them replied, only looked at one another and then continued adding
dried wood to the fire.
Do they not understand the speech? Know they not how to speak yet?
They knew, stranger. But they are mutes now.
A tall, well built man with a long beard and a pike in his hand startled Ken by
grabbing his shoulder.
Who are you old man, and what do you want with the Great Spirit?
I am Kenul Ouil. The Spirit is expecting me. I have a message and a gift to
deliver to him.
Tell me the message and hand over the gift to me, I will send them to the
Great Spirit personally.
Im afraid I cannot do that, boy. The message is encrypted, and the gift is very
precious. Only the Spirit can
Let him in, Krake. The Great Guardian Spirit is waiting.
An old, small woman came from the village and poked the one called Krake
with her cane. The rest of the hunters dragged their prays closer to the fire and
started to prepare them for evening dinner.
Im sorry, mother. I did not know the Great Spirit was expecting anyone.
The village was completely covered by snow, only some wooden pales and
straw on the roofs were visible at the right angle.
The hut of the Spirit was at the center of the village. It was the smallest
building around, with no doors and strings of hair with small animal bones
entwined in them covering the entrance and windows.
The inside was very dark, only small fire inside gave any light, enough to see
the contours of the objects but no details whatsoever. Surprisingly though it was
incredibly warm inside. Ken took down the bag from his shoulder, took off the
fur coat and stood with a help of his body-long staff.
Sit, Kenul Ouil of Technoma, the one called Great Advisor in many parts of
the planet.
Therra is vast, I doubt Im remembered in that many places, my child. Ken
smiled as he sat on his coat placed near the fire.
I am the Spirit. GloOd. I was waiting for you for a long time, messenger.
The voice of the Spirit was low and harsh, but it was not clear whether it was
male of female voice. The Spirit itself was a small figure, uncovered with any
additional fur, only wearing piece of clothing on the torso and long, leather pants.
The truth, GloOd. The truth about the past and the future.
Future is unknown and it can be rewritten many times over. You should know
that, Master of the Crystal Order.
You seem to know a lot, considering where you live.
Mariusz Jump3R Poszka Everyone Forgets The Beginning
82 of 84

Where I live has nothing to do with what I know and what I can do. You
should know that too, no-element master.
Ken took out the scrolled parchment from his bag and put it above the fire so
that the Spirit could see what it was.
I dont need light to see, Creator, my sight was taken from me before I was
born. GloOd reached out for the scroll and small hand disappeared in darkness
right before my eyes. I see. So that is inevitable. I believe what your message
says is not what the truth is, though. From what I can tell you werent the one
who wrote it, am I right? You only encrypted it to language unknown by
inhabitants of Therra.
That is correct. The writing I just gave you was done by the inspirited by soul
of his father last of the pure Ellementalls, and a friend of mine.
Were you the one to decipher the numbers?
Yes, that is correct.
Were you the one to give those numbers?
No. That was my parents last message.
The spirit threw the scroll into the fire. The paper inflamed in a second and the
green smoke filled the hut.
The truth you were bound to protect is now in my hands. I hereby bound my
soul to it, so that it wont be revealed to anyone but the worthy heir. You can rest
in peace now, Kenul, the last witness. The Apo Callyps will be sent home before
the end and I promise you your millennial sacrifice will not be in vain. You will
be remembered.
Ken stood up. He was very tired. The cold stopped bothering him long ago. It
took him decades to travel around the world to find the one called Spirit. But
now he could finally let go.
He sat at the rock next to the Spirits hut. He fell asleep.

Thirteenth Chant:
The Epilogue
The boy fell asleep on the floor, still holding the unrolled coil of paper in his
hand.
Looks like you finished earlier than I thought, boy.
The middle-aged half Asian man took the scroll out from the grasp of the boys
hand, snapped fingers and scroll burnt down in mid air.
The man took still sound asleep boy in his arms and went downstairs to the big
room with only bed and a desk inside. He placed boy on the bed, covered him
with a duvet and exit the room without a sound.
Sleep well, boy. You have a rough times before you. First ADAM test, then
the return to the Archives and the fight for the destiny of this and other worlds. I
just hope father was right.
He reached inside his inner jacket pocket, took out a pipe, a lighter and started
to smoke. He looked at his phone.
Its only tea time in London, its best not to disturb her this early.
He walked out the large house at the top of this mountain ranges highest peak.
The air was thin, cold, the clouds were slowly moving without the wind, blocking
the view.
He sighed, breathing out the smoke from the pipe. He closed his eyes, took a
deep breath and blew the air out of his lungs with immense force, scattering all
the clouds around the mountain and revealing the magnificent view of sun hiding
behind the dale on the far west from their hideout.
He enjoyed this silent moment for a while, until it was disrupted by the loud
sound of his phones ringtone spreading through the mountains. The caller was
unknown.
Hallo.
Li, were in trouble, it was one of his friends. The Archives, they found out
we were recruiting from the inside. I dont know how, we just all got out. I think
no one is hurt, but we must be much more careful now.
Slow down, start over, what exactly happened?
We were in 1999, they came out of nowhere. They knew we were meeting
there.
Whose meeting was that? Which clan?
Thats the thing it were all seven clans.
Impossible. Someone mustve leaked the information.
Yes, she said the same thing. Once I confirm my teams all right I will contact
Fathers and we will get to the bottom of this crap.
Good, take your time, the rat is already on the move if hes smart enough to
wait for all clans to gather. We must find him before he disappears into the thin
air.

Copy. And one more thing.
What is it, Juu?
It might be nothing but she asked if I talked with you lately. Did something
happen?
No, nothing happened. Dont worry about it. Focus on your next mission. I
will get the briefing from the meeting later.
You know me never surrender.
Yeah, one more thing. Dont call my father. I will do that. You call all the
other higher ups. They all have taken a liking in you for some reason.
What can I say, Im likable.
Sure you are, just dont let the rat outsmart you. He cant be any new guy, it
must be someone from at least our year or older. And if my hunch is correct I
know who the rat is, why he did what he did and what will he do next.
So, do you mind telling me?
Yes, I do. Uncertainty is what might cause our doom in this particular case.
But let me tell you this beware the white crows.
Got it. White crows. Thanks. Well, I gotta run, a lot happened and I have even
more to do so, Ill call you tomorrow, when we find something out.
Yeah. Stay sharp.
The call ended. The sun has completely set. The darkness started overflowing
the world.
Li turned around and looked at the window to the boys room. The hope is not
lost yet.
