7.13 Requirement for


service
7.13.1 Installation Service 1. The Bidder shall be responsible to provide all service
related to installation, service for all equipment cover by
the purchase.
2. All cost service shall be quoted and failure to quote shall
be consider that the Bidder proposes to provide this
service totally “free of charge” to BTCL.
7.13.2 Inter- connecting The Bidder shall be responsible for making inter connection
and Inter-Working facility include supply of all require material, cabal , connector
with the existing etc. between proposed system and BTCL’s existing network. The
system bidder in his offer shall quite all costs for material and service .
Failure to quote shall be treated as “non compliance” to BTCL.
The bidder shall responsible to ensure that all the system covered
by this perches shall be able to inter-work with all the existing
system of BTCL. The bidder shall make necessary survey and
shall also be entirely responsible to solve any mismatch, if
encountered. The bidder shall quote any extra cost, if necessary,
and if the bidder fails to quote for this work, he shall have to
complete this work at his own cost. No subsequent additional
request for costs for required interfaces, if any, shall be
entertained.
In all access switch site bidder has to connect UPS and switch
with existing AC power source. Bidder has to include necessary
power accessories with his offer.

7.13.3 Training The bidder shall provide necessary training facilities to the BTCL
personnel in order to enable running the equipment purchased
under this contract.
The bidder shall provide training at BTCL premises
a) Number of BTTB Engineer : 6(six)
b) Number of minimum working days : 8 (Eight) days for
wireless control system and 10 (ten) days for server and
switch system.
c) Per diam charge to BTTB Executive : BD Taka 600 (six
hundred) per day per person
7.13.4 Maintenance  The bidder at his own cost shall provide full
Support Service up maintenance support service for all equipment and
to Warranty period service covered by this purchase up to the end of
warranty period.
 The maintenance support service shall cover at list (but
not limit to) the following service
1. Response in the shortest possible time during any call
by BTCL.
2. Help to solve different software and hardware problems
related to proper O&M of the equipment or
modification/ addition/ deletion of any feather/ service.
3. Advice BTCL about different aspects of O&M, system
dimensioning, expansion etc.
4. Transfer of technology to BTCL personnel.
5. This support shall only be limited to the operational and
maintenance activities. The bidder shall separately quote
for this. Repair and replacement of hardware covered by
warranty shall be included in the hardware cost.
7.13.5 Testing and Before acceptance of the install system/ equipment, BTCL
Commissioning representatives shall carryout , on site, detailed test of all
equipment to ascertain there inter-working ability with relevant
equipment of the other manufacturers, working reliability, and
concurrence to agree technical and other specifications, inventory
checking of installed equipment etc. such test shall be termed as
“Acceptances Test(AT) “ . Prior to commitment of such test, the
contractor shall submit a proposed procedure for the AT to be
subsequently passed by the Project Director. A joint team of
BTCL engineers and bidder’s engineers will do the AT.
BTCL shall start such test within one month after receipt of the
request . The bidder may , upon agreement by the both party,
offer AT for any part or part of the total work . such request for
partial AT may also be asked for by BTCL.
The bidder shall be totally responsible for arrangement of all
equipment, consumables, test gears and measuring equipment for
the AT. All cost for materials and service shall be quote and
failure to quote shall be considered that the bidder propose to
provide this service totally “Free of Charge” to BTCL.
The bidder’s engineer shall be liable to make necessary
arrangement complete any kinds of tests requested by BTCL AT
members during AT procedure .
