The ASCII checkbox will stop Tripcode Explorer from searching using Japanese cha
racters in the password field, except for , which still seems to appear anyway. T
his checkbox is useful if you have issues with saving or using Japanese characte
rs. Windows does not handle Japanese characters very well.
The checkbox will have the negative side effect of narrowing your search range,
but this should only be an issue if you intend to be searching trips for years c
onstantly, and/or want the best chance at finding a 10 letter case-sensitive cod
e.
The CPU checkbox allows you to have the program multithreaded and force each thr
ead to run on a specific processor, for best performance on multi-CPU/multi-core
systems. When not checked, you are given the option to set the number of thread
s the program will use that are not tied to specific processors (OS sets and swi
tches realtime). Do not set the number higher than your number of logical proces
sors as apparently that will cause program instability.
Public Tripcodes are no longer being included on this image due to the sheer num
ber of them. You can still find them in the attached archive in readme_en.txt.

Q: Why does my tripcode not work?
A: This can happen if your tripcode password contains a second # character (caus
ing a secure tripcode to appear, that's just how 4chan starts secure tripcodes),
a Japanese character (especially Yen ), or the & character (rarely causes the is
sue though).
Q: How long will it take?
A: Due to the nature of searching for tripcodes randomly, it is difficult to jud
ge how long it will take to find your desired tripcode. Setting case-insensitive
will of course lead to faster results when your search contains letters (there'
s no alternate case for numbers, periods, or slashes).
Q: ?
A: I'm fairly sure the problem with the Yen character is isolated to Windows, du
e to poor handling of the character. If you have a tripcode with this character
that does not work, make sure Windows has not copied it as a backslash (\).
You can type by holding alt and pressing 0165 on the number pad.
TRY THE TRIPCODE BOTH WAYS. Sometimes the in Tripcode Explorer is not really sup
posed to be there.
