By: Kanakkumar B. Bosmia Sahakar-2, Flat No: 28 Jagabhai Park, Ram Baug Maninagar, Ahmedabad380008 Mobile : +91-982531165. Email : kanakbosmia@yahoo.com Short History: http://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/aug/20/czech-parliament-dissolves-election- communists-power Election could lend Communists share of power as Social Democrats seek to form partner- ship The Czech parliament has voted to dissolve itself, triggering an early election which could hand the Communist party a share in power for the first time since a bloodless revolution ended its totalitarian rule two decades ago. Opinion polls show that the centre-left Social Democrats will be the biggest party, but they will need support from other groups to govern. The party's leader said he would talk to the Communists about forming a partnership. In the eyes of many people in this country of 10 million people, the Communists are asso- ciated with 41 years of repression, but by being out of power for so long, the party has es- caped the taint of sleaze and corruption that has troubled successive governments since the revolution. Tuesday's vote to dissolve parliament came about after the previous elected government folded under charges from prosecutors that an aide to the prime minister, who was also his lover, had his wife put under surveillance. The dissolution was supported by 140 mem- bers of the 200-seat lower house of parliament. The president, Milos Zeman, must now schedule an election, likely to be at the end of Oc- tober. In an interview with Reuters before the dissolution vote, Social Democrat leader Bohuslav Sobotka said that after the election he hoped his party would form a minority government backed by other groups. "It is definitely possible to expect negotiations with KSCM [the Communist Party]," Sobotka said. "The Communists are in a number of town halls and in regional leaderships, and I do not see it causing problems." But he said his party would not accommodate the Communists' programme or bring them into a governing coalition. That was a nod to the toxic reputation the Communists still have for many Czech people, and to worries about backtracking on market reforms in the Czech Republic, one of the more stable emerging markets, which has attracted heavy foreign investment. Kankariya- Ahmedabad Long/Lat: 23 N 00', 72 E 36 Aynamsha 23 0 .56'.44" Hint: If 10 th (ones position in politics) cusp csub lord signifies 10 (ones reputation), 3 (ones abil- ity), 11 (ones reputation as a winner) in the DBA of the significators of 3, 10, 11, then suc- cess is assured. Cuspal Sub lord for Czech Social Democratic Party: 10 th Cusp (Virgo 02 0 .12.45): The sub lord of the 10 th cusp is Jupiter. Jupiter is in the star of own and sub of Saturn. Jupiter is occupant of 8, owner of 2-4. Sub lord Saturn is occupant of 11, owner of 3. Thus 10 th cusp sub lord Jupiter is the significator of 2-4-8 and connected with 3-11. 10 th sub lord of Czech Social Democratic Party indicate 3-11. Cuspal Sub lord for opponent: 10 th Cusp (Pisces 02 0 .12.45):): The sub lord of the 10 th cusp is Rahu. Rahu is in the star of own and sub of Venus. Rahu is occupant of 5. Rahu conjoined with Venus and Saturn. Venus is occupant of 5, owner of 1-5-6. Saturn is occupant of 5, owner of 9. Sub lord Venus is occupant of 5, owner of 1-5-6. Thus 10 th cusp sub lord Rahu is the significator of 5-1-6-9 and connected with 1-5. 10 th sub lord of opponent does not indicate 3-10-11 at all. My opinion: The cuspal sub lord of 10 th for Czech Social Democratic Party (CSSD) signifies 3-11 but opponent dos not indicate 3-10-11 at all. Hence, Czech Social Democratic Party (CSSD) will win this election. KP Ezine October 2013 7 A Study of Forty Mothers Charts for Twin Birth Rule -Research Study By: Tin Win Email: tw853@yahoo.com Twi n or mul ti pl e bi rth i s i ndi cated i f the 5 th cuspal sub l ord i s connected to dual si gns (Gemi ni , Sagi ttari us and Pi sces) and al so si gni fi es house 2, 5 or 11, and to be fructi fi ed duri ng the joi nt dasa peri od of si gni fi cators of 2, 5 or 11 wi th connec- ti on to dual si gns. This twin birth rule is a particular planetary pattern which is significantly found in the study of forty natal charts of mothers who gave birth to twins or multiples. This study is a further research on the role of dual signs which is observed in the last month research study, why Virgo is not a dual sign? in the KP second marriage rule. For promise of twin or multiple birth, analysis of the 5 th cuspal sub lord and its sign lord is shown in the attached table 1. Regarding timing of twin or multiple birth, the lords of Dasa, Bhukti, Antra and Sookshma at the time of twin or multiple birth is given in the at- tached table 2. In the table 1, twin or multiple birth is clearly found promised if the 5th cuspal sub lord is connected to dual signs and also signifies house 2, 5 or 11 by taking consideration of dual signs themselves and also their lords, dual planet Mercury and Jupiter, planet of expan- sion and karaka for child birth. It is generally significant in 35 charts (87.5 percent) out of total 40 charts under study, except chart no. 4, 18, 25, 27 and 34. Here only 5 th cuspal sub lord is considered for child birth in general, in stead of going to 7 th , 9 th , 11 th etc , one of which may always indicate twin birth. In the table 2, twin or multiple birth is significantly found in 36 charts (90 percent) out of total 40 charts under study, except chart no. 2, 4, 27 and 38, during the joint dasa period of significators of 2, 5 or 11 with connection to dual signs. Of course signification of house 7, 9, 11 will appear for the 2 nd , 3 rd , 4 th issue of children respectively. Ezine October 2013 18 Success in Examina"on By: Pt Akash ( BE Electronics )( Jyo!sh Shiromani ) Nakshatra Jyotish Kendra, Vedic and Krishnamurti Paddhati Astrologer; Mob: 9827374626 , 9329265779 akash2311@gmail.com ; www.ptakash.com Om Gan Ganapataye Namah Nowadays students appear in various exams and hence are stressed a lot regarding the result. Sometimes astrology can work as stress buster for them. Many students feel anx- ious about the result of exam and so approach me for consultation. I do feel that these students know how they have fared and hence get stressed or anxious. One student ap- proached me with a query regarding his passing the exam, which he had appeared in first week of July 2013. Let us see how KP astrology helps their cause. I told him to give me a number from 1 249. Query : Will I succeed in the Final Exam? Horary No : 133 (1 249) Date : 30-07-2013; Time : 21:23:50 Place : BHOPAL, 77E26 , 23N07 (Geocentric); Ayanamsa : KPNA 23:57:10 HINTS AND RULES 1. If the sub lord of the 4th cusp is the significator of 4,9 and 11th house , the success in examination is promised. 2. Sub lord of the 11th cusp, when connected to the houses under consideration, will give the positive result; here in this case it needs to be connected to 4th, 9th house. 3. Mars, Mercury and Jupiter promise success when they are connected to 4,9 and 11th house . 4. The houses which are 12th from 4th and 9th house i.e. 3rd and 8th indicate failure. MOON & ASCENDANT SUBLORD Moon always gives the indication of state of mind and query. Here Moon is placed in the 7 th house, it is in the star of Venus, which is placed in 11 th house. So it signifies the houses under consideration and the query is genuine. The ascendant sublord is Mercury, which is placed in 9 th house, and it is in the star of Jupiter, which is placed in 9 th house. So it is clear that the primary houses for success in examination are signified by the Moon and Ascendant sublord. CUSPAL ANALYSIS 4 th Cusp -- Capricorn 13:47:11 ( Sa Mo Ra ) Rahu is the cuspal sublord of the 4 th house , it is placed in 1st house, it is in the star of Rahu itself which is placed in the 1 st house. Rahu is conjoined with Saturn, which is lord of 4 th house. Hence, it becomes a strong significator of the 1 st house (self effort) and also 4 th house. Rahu is in the sub of Moon, which is placed in 9 th house. So the Rahu is favourable for the query. Saturn itself is placed in 12 th house; it is in the star of Rahu, which is placed in 1 st house. Rahu is conjoined with Saturn, which is lord of 4 th house. So Saturn signifies 12 th , 4 th house and 1 st houses strongly. Saturn is in the sub of Saturn itself, Saturn as we have seen is signifying 4 th and 1 st house strongly. Hence it is favourable for the query through its star and sub level signification. 11 th Cusp Leo 15:46:52 ( Su Ve Su ) Sun is the cuspal sublord of the 11 th house, it is placed in the 9 th house. It is in the star of Saturn, which is placed in 12 th house and lord of 4 th house. So it strongly signifies 12 th , 4 th
and 1 st houses. Sun is in the sub of Rahu. As discussed above, Rahu is strongly signifying 4 th and 1 st house. Here 1 st house is signified by many planets here in this query, showing self effort of the querist. RULING PLANETS As we cannot neglect the ruling planets at the time of judgment: Lagna Signlord Saturn Lagna Starlord Jupiter Moon Signlord Mars Moon Starlord Venus Daylord Mars As one can judge by looking at the Ruling Planets, Lagna signlord Saturn signifies 4 th and 1 st house strongly; Jupiter signifies 1 st and 9 th house; Moon signlord Mars signifies 1 st and 9 th house; Moon starlord Venus signifies 11 th house, and Day ord Mars signifies 1 st and 9 th house. Look how clearly the Ruling Planets show the result in this case. PREDICTION As per the analysis shown above it is predicted that the querist will have success and he will pass the exam with good grade. ACTUAL OUTCOME The querist passed the examination. Finally a few words for those who read my article. Look at the rulers of the number given i.e. 133 (Ve Ra Me) and the Moon (Ma Ve Me) . The Gulbarga Theory of KP analysis is satisfied and so one can declare the outcome without use of so much of calculation. But as it is not always so, still one should do the complete analysis before predicting anything. Prayers to Lord Ganesh and Guruji. KP Ezine October 2013 21 When shall I get a job? By: Er. V.K Sharma, B.E. (Elect), JYOTISHVID (PRASHER), K.P HORARATNA Superintending Engineer (Retired.), Punjab State Electricity Board, Address: #104, City Enclave, Zirakpur, Mohali (Chandigarh). Cell 09417117370, e-mail: nick0885@gmail.com A querent from Delhi, who has done B TECH degree was under tension for not getting a job, asked me to check astrologically when she will get a job. I asked her to intimate any horary number between 1 and 249. She told the horary number as 112. I made the horary map for the said number on dated 23-10-2010 at 1:40 PM at Chandigarh. MOON REVEALS THE NATURE OF QUERY. Moon is lord of 11 in 8. Starlord Ketu in 10. Ketu is in the sign of Mercury in 2 lord of 10; further Moon is in the sub of Jupiter in 6. So Moon has a linkage with 6 [service / job], 10 [occupation], 2[monetary gain], 11 [fulfillment of desire] and 8[tension]. Hence Moon reveals that querent has tension for not getting a suitable job. GULBERGA THEORY If the sublord of horary number furnished happens to be either Moon starlord or Lagna star- lord among ruling planets, hen the query is to be answered affirmative, otherwise not. In the case under reference, sublord of horary number is Moon and Lagna starlord of ruling plan- ets is also Moon. Hence I told the querent that answer to her query is positive and she will get a job as desired. Confirmation through Ascendant Sublord In the horary chart Ascendant indicates the efforts of the querent. In this case Asc sublord Moon is lord of of 11. It is in the star of Ketu in 10. Ketu is in the sign of Mercury deposited in 2 and lord of 10. It is in the sub of Jupiter deposited in 6. Hence Asc sublord is the sig- nificator of 2 ,6 10 and 11. So querents efforts will be fruitful for getting a job. RULE FOR GETTING JOB As per Nakshatra Chintamani page 133 written by Sh. Chandrakant R. Bhatt, iIf the cuspal sublord of 6th 10 th house be the significator of house 2 ,6 or 10, service or earning is promised during the joint period of the significators of house 2,6 and 10. 6
TH CUSPAL SUB LORD 6th sublord Saturn is lord of 6. As Saturn is not having any planet in its stars, Saturn be- comes a strong significator of 6 by being sublord of 6 th . Cusp; further Saturn is in the star of Moon lord of 11 and it is in the sub Saturn lord of 6. Hence 6th cusp sublord is a significa- tor of 6 and 11 which fulfills necessary conditions for getting job. 10th Cuspal sublord 10th cusp sublord Jupiter is in 6 lord of 4 and 7. It is again in the star of Jupiter lord of 6 and is in the sub of Mars in 2 lord of 3 and 8. Hence 10th cusp sublord signifies 6, 2 and 4. which is conducive for getting job in her hometown. 2nd Cuspal Sublord 2nd cusp sublord Rahu is in 4 and Rahu is in the sign of Jupiter in 6 lord of 4 and 7. It is further in the star of Ketu in 10 and it is in the sub of Saturn lord of 6. Hence 2nd cusp sublord signifies 2,6,10 and 4 which is conducive for getting job. Bhukti Dasha As Jupiter is not a ruling planet, leave Jupiter Bhukti (17-1-2010 to 24-12-2010). Next Bhukti comes of Saturn (24-12-2010 to 1-02-2012) Saturan Bhukti Saturn is lord of 6. As Saturn is not having any planet in its stars, it becomes a strong sig- nificator of house 6 by being sublord of 6th cusp. Hence Saturn Bhukti is a significator of 6 and 11 which is conducive for getting job. Moreover Saturn is a ruling planet. Check Antra Dasha During Saturan Bhukti, first Antra is of Saturn (24-12-2010 to 26-02-2011). As already il- lustrated above in Saturn Bhukti, Saturn antra signifies 6 and 11, which is conducive for getting job. Saturn is also a ruling planet. So I told the querent that she will get a job during Antra of Saturn that is between 24-12-2010 and 26-02-2011, and it will certainly before the expiry of Antra of Saturan that is before 26-02-2011. Venkata Ravi Kiran Kumar, M.A., B.Ed., # 81/310-2-E, Rukmini Nagar, Kurnool 518002. e-mail: ravikiran.cv@gmail.com ) Mobile: 9440305230. On 5 th Sep 2013 I received a phone call for homeopathic advice for a woman who is having pregnancy for the 2 nd time. She was having some inconvenience with her pregnancy and doctors told that the embryo has improper heart beat and it may lead to abortion. I advised her with my little knowledge, and noted down the time for astrological analysis out of my curiosity. Hints: 1. If the 5 th CSL signifies 2, 5, 11, the woman concerned is pregnant. 2. If the 5 th CSL signifies 1, 4, 6, 10, 8, 12 connected with Mars, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu, then it is an indication for abortion. As it is her 2 nd pregnancy consider 7 CSL instead of 5 CSL. Moon the indicator of the mind and the condition is owner of 10 in 11, in the star and sub of Venus, lord of 1,8 in 12, indicates anxiety, disappointment, surgery (8), hospitalization (12), recovery (11). Is Pregnancy indicated? For the 2 nd child, 7 th CSL Rahu, in self star, conjoined with Saturn owner of 4,5 and occu- pant of 1, aspected by Mars owner of 2,7 and occupant of 10, confirms the progeny of 2 nd
child. Is Abortion indicated? Here further analysis shows the 7 th cusp falling at 5.49.13 in Aries, a barren sign. The 7 th
CSL Rahu is in the sub of Venus (1,8,12), in self star Ra(1), in the sign of Venus (1,8,12), conjoined with Saturn (4,5,1), aspected by Mars (2,7,10) and Jupiter (3,6,9), indicates that there are more chances for a surgical abortion due to the presence of 8 (accident, surgery) and 12 (hospitalization) and the involvement of planets Mars and Saturn. Hence a surgical abortion is likely and informed the same to them at about 2.00 pm on the same day. What happened actually? She was undergone D & C, a type of surgical abortion on the morning hours of 6 th Sep 2013 in the DBAS of Venus-Venus-Saturn-Rahu when Moon was transiting in the star of Sun, occupant and owner of 11 Badhka for the 7 th cusp in movable Aries sign. Here readers may observe that the shadowy planet Rahu, being the cuspal sub lord for the 7 th and 11 th cusps, finally had to go along with higher level Dasa-Bhukti-Antra lords Venus and Saturn for abortion in its Sookshma itself giving the results of conjoined Saturn and sign lord Venus. I humbly submit my Gratitude to Sri. K.S. Krishnamurthy Garu for inventing this divine tool to help the mankind. References: Nakshatra Chintamani by Sri. C. R. Bhatt K.P.Navaratnamala - 2 by Sri. KP Ezine October 2013 29 Signi#cance of the Sub Lord By: G.H.W.Silva, SREEPALEE Astrological Services, Ketawala-Leula, Sri Lanka. ghwsilva@gmail.com Krishnaurthi Padhdhathi says that a planet will offer the results signified by the star lord, and that the Sub Lord decides the nature of results offered by the planet. This sub lord the- ory is the cream of the K.P. Therefore, in the analysis of a birth chart, we are paying more concentration on the position of the sub lord of the planets and bhavas. The sub lord position of the ascendant is the most important part in the delineation of a birth chart. This sub lord gives all the details about the native starting from the life span to all other qualities of the person. The following birth chart has been analysed according to the rules laid in the K.P. and the details is given here. Birth date: 16 th November 1943: Time: 8.10 hrs IST (DST -1 Hrs) Place: Kandy, Sri Lanka; Long/Lat: 7 N 04, 80 E 38 In this birth chart, it is expected to analyse the significance of sub lord and its role in the delineation. The ascendant falls in the sign of Scorpio ruled by Mars, in a star of Saturn and a sub lord of Jupiter. This sub lord Jupiter is the owner of 2 nd and 5 th bhavas of this chart and occupy- ing the 9 th bhava in the sign of Leo. Again, Jupiter is deposited in a star of Kethu, who is occupying the 3 rd bhava in Capricorn. Accordingly, Jupiter becomes a significator for 3 rd , 9 th , 5 th and 2 nd bhavas of this birth chart. In the assessment of life span of a native according to the birth chart, we consider the signi- fication of the sub lord of the ascendant. If this planet is a significator for the 1 st , 5 th , 9 th or 11 th bhavas, the native will be blessed with long life. If significators are for 2 nd , 6 th and 8 th
bhavas, the native is destined to have a short life. If combined bhava significators, the na- tive is having a medium span of life. As the sub lord of the ascendant Jupiter is a significator for 3 rd , 9 th (badhaka), 5 th and 2 nd
bhavas of this birth chart, the native is destined to have a medium life. This native passed away peacefully in his native place on 11 th July 2013 after spending a life span of 69 years. The sub lord of the 6 th cusp is judged to find the sickness. The 6 th cusp falls in the sign of Aries ruled by Mars in a star of Venus and in a sub of Mars. Aries shows the head and face. Mars for blood, marrow and veins. According to the sub position, he will suffer from sunstrokes. This sub lord Mars is deposit- ed in its own star, who is occupying the sign of Taurus and the 7 th bhava. This combination causes the native to suffer from sickness of the head, chest and blood problems. Actually, he was suffering from phlegm, diabetes, and other complexities for a long time. The sub lord for the 8 th cusp indicates the place of death and the mode of death. Here the 8 th cusp falls in the sign of Gemini and a star of Rahu in a sub of Mercury. This Mercury is deposited in a star of Jupiter and this Jupiter is occupying the sign of Leo a fixed sign. Therefore, the death should be in his native place. At the time of death, he was under the influence of Venus dasa and Rahu bukthi. Venus is a significator for 8 th , 10 th , 9 th , 7 th and 12 th bhavas. This Venus is deposited in a star of Moon, who is a significator for 9 th and 8 th bhavas (death) and the 9 th bhava is the badhaka sign. Therefore, the planet Venus is a malfic planet for him and he will undergo results of these two bahavas during the dasa and sub dasa periods of Venus. Bukthi lord Rahu is deposited in a star of Mercury and he is a significator for 9 th , 12 th , 2 nd , 5 th , 8 th and 11 th bhavas. Therefore, the native will have the results signified by these bha- vas during the periods and sub periods of Rahu. At the time of the death, the dasa lord Venus was transiting in the sign of Cancer in the 9 th
bhava, in a star of Mercury, a sign for 11 th and 8 th ruler ship. Venus was aspecting its natal position by a semi square aspect. Rahu was transiting in Libra, in the 12 th bhava and in conjunction with the 12 th cusp, in a star of its own, a significator for 11 th , 12 th , 9 th and 8 th bhavas. In addition, Rahu is in square aspect to its natal position. Luminary Sun was transiting in the sign of Gemini in the 8 th bhava and very close to natal Moon in the 8 th bhava. It was in a star of Jupiter and in a sub of Mercury. This Sun was as- pecting in trine to its natal position in Libra. The second luminary Moon was transiting in Leo in the 9 th bhava, the badhaka sthana with exact square aspect to natal Sun in Libra and in semi square aspect to its natal position. This Moon was transiting in a star of Mercury and in a sub of Saturn. Mars (R) turns direct on 14.04.2012. Mars (R) posited in sub of another retrograde planet i.e. Saturn (R). Saturn (R) turns direct on 25.06.2012. So, event of marriage should be fructify after the period when Saturn turns direct on 25-06-2012) Present Bhukti Lord: Jupiter (from 29-07-2011 to 04-07-2012) Jupiter posited in the star of Venus (owner of 11) and sub of Rahu (being untenanted and CSL of 7, 11). Thus Bhukti Lord Jupiter signifies 11 and in connection with 7 and 11, hence taken into consideration for marriage. Present Anthra Lord: Moon (from 27-03-2012 to 24-04-2012) Moon is the occupant of 11. Moon is in connection with 11. Thus chances of marriage are assured in the Anthra of Moon Period. But I have not considered Moon Anthra due to the following reasons - During the Anthra of Moon Period The Starlord of 7 th CSL (Prime house of marriage) i.e. Saturn (R) remains retrograde; There is only 26 days left from the date of judgment. Arrangement towards celebration of marriage is quite impossible during this period as there is no any pre-conversation is run- ning or undergoing at present between the family of Bride and Groom, even not any pro- posal (Rishta) is considered/accepted yet; There is only 2 auspicious marriage muhurtha (14 th April 2012 and 24 th April 2012) pre- sent or available as per Hindu Panchanga (North India). So, chances of marriage are week during the period. Next Anthra Lord: Mars (from 24-04-2012 to 14-05-2012) Mars (R) is already taken as a Dasha Lord. and also not appeared twice under ruling plan- ets. Thus Mars Anthra is not taken into consideration for marriage. Next Anthra Lord: Rahu (from 14-05-2012 to 04-07-2012) As explained above, Rahu signifies 7, 11 and in connection with 7, 11. Hence, Rahu Anthra is taken into consideration for marriage. TRANSIT During the DBA of Mars-Jupiter-Rahu (from 14-05-2012 to 04-07-2012) Sun will transiting In the Sign of Taurus Lord Venus (represented by Rahu Anthra Lord) and in the star of Mrigashira Lord Mars (Dasha Lord); In the sign of Gemini Lord Mercury (RP Lagna Lord) and in the star of Mrigashira Lord Mars (RP Moon Starlord). In the sign of Gemini Lord Mercury (RP Lagna Lord) and in the star of Aridra Lord Rahu (RP Lagna Starlord). My Opinion: Marriage promised in DBA of Mars-Jupiter-Rahu (from 13-05-2012 to 04-07- 2012). Actual Fact: Prediction comes correct. The native/Querent got married in the 1 st week of July, 2012 when Sun transiting in the sign of Gemini Lord Mercury (RP Lagna Lord) and in star of Aridra Lord Rahu (RP Lagna Starlord). Mars is occupant of 10, owner of 1, 8. Star lord Moon is occupant of 7, owner of 4. Sub lord Jupiter is occupant of 1, owner of 9, 12. So it is the significator of 4 and connected with 1 (self effort) 9. Antra lord Mercury is in the star of Venus and sub of Moon. Mercury is occupant of 9, own- er of 3, 6. Star lord Venus is occupant of 8, owner of 2, 7. Sub lord Moon is occupant of 7, owner of 4. So it is connected with 4, 9. Sookshma lord Ketu is in the star of Sun and sub of Rahu. Star lord Ketu is in 1. Ketu is aspected by Mars. Mars is occupant of 10, owner of 1, 8. Star lord Sun occupies 9 and is owner of 5. Sub lord Rahu is occupant of 7. Rahu is conjoined with Moon. Moon is occupant of 7, owner of 4. So it is the significator of 9 and connected with 1 (self effort), 4, 9. Thus, in this case 4 th and 9 th cusp sub lord and joint period lords indicate success in the examination at every stage. Outcome: She passed her examination with 6.7 point. Birth and death is a continuous cycle of every living being and the birth takes place based on each ones prarabdha karma. Astrol- ogy also gives much importance to the aspect of progeny while checking the matching for charts of boy and girl. The fifth house in ones chart speaks of progeny and hence much care is needed with regard to the judgment of fifth house before spelling out anything about it.
General rules for progeny For children, we have to consider the 2, 5 and 11 houses and also the strength of Jupiter. The 2 nd house stands for family which denotes additions to the number of family members. 5 th house stands for progeny and 11 th house, though it is the opposite of 5 th house, it is 5 th
counted from the 7 th house-representing wife or husband. Whether or not one is promised children is to be judged from the 5 th house. If the 5 th cusp sub lord is connected with 2 or 5 or 11, birth of a child is indicated and will take place during the conjoined period of the sig- nificator of 2, 5 and 11 houses.
Rules for child birth - for horary charts - (Reader 6-page192) 1. The sub lord of the 5th cusp is not RETROGRADE. 2. It is not posited in a star of a retrograde planet. 3. It is a significator of either 2 or 5 or 11th house. If any one of the above conditions is not satisfied, one will not be able to produce a child at all. Rahu and Ketu should not be considered as retrograde as these are only nodes.
This is only for horary charts. In natal charts, do not worry whether a planet is in direct mo- tion or retrograde. There is no difference. Retrograde planets neither lose strength nor are they are harmful. (Reader 6- page 145) So no question of retrogression arises in judging the natal charts.
If the query is from the wife, we have to consider 5 th house If the query is from husband, we have to consider 11 th house first and only then 5 th house. If both 5 th and 11 th houses are not favorable, then both are sterile and will not have children.
Twin births If the 5th cusp sub lord (11th CSL in case of Male charts) is a dual planet (Mercury) or pos- ited in a dual sign and signifies 2, 5 & 11 houses - then we can declare that the issues will be twins. As per Kanak Bosmias observation if 5th CSL (11th in case of MALE charts) sig- nifies 7th and 2nd or 5 or 11th and connected to Mercury or dual sign, it can be twins birth during the (Dasa Bhukti Anthra and Sookshma (DBAS) signifying house 7 along with 2,5 & 11. As per Sri K. Baskaran, if the sub lord of the 5 th cusp is linked to cusps 7 & 9, then there will be birth of twins in the second delivery. (Principles of Cuspal Interlinks, Sagar Publica- tions, 2000, page 104)
Whether pregnant or not In the case of a horary chart, to know if the lady is pregnant or not, we have to examine the 5 th house. Rangarajan, Ph. D (KP Ezine July 2008) 1. The following four methods of child gender prediction are tested for the number of 150 child births of the total charts of 32: 1) As per method by V.S.N. Murthy, KP E Zine July 2008, A = Cuspal sub-sub lord, B = sub sub lord of A, C = Sub-lord of B, D = Star lord of C; If D is a Male star, a Male child is pre- dicted; if a Female star, a Female child is predicted. 2) A simplified method of V.S.N. Murthys method is A = Cuspal sub-sub lord, B = Star lord of A; If B is a Male star, a Male child is predicted; if a Female star, a Female child is predict- ed. 3) According to 4 Step method, A = Cuspal sub lord, B = Sub lord of A, C = Star lord of B; If C is in the odd sign, a Male child is predicted; if in even sign a Female child is predicted. 4) In Hora method, A = Cuspal sub lord, if A is a planet without any planet in its star A itself or if A is a planet with any planet in its star, B = Star lord of A is in the Male Hora, a Male child is predicted; if in a Female Hora, a Female child is predicted. Hora for deciding sex of the child - If 5th CSL or its star lord is posited in the SUN hora - odd signs first 15 degrees- even signs second 15 degrees- MALE CHILD. MOON hora - odd signs second 15 degrees - even signs first 15 degrees- FEMALE CHILD. The finding of above study is the same as guruji KSKs saying i.e., he never had any experi- ence in pin-pointing the sex (of child) before birth. (KP Reader IV page 236) With this data on progeny and twin births, I would like to discuss a chart of mother who had her first issue as male child and second issue as twin female children. The birth details of the said native are furnished with a chart being attached. Mrs N.S- DOB-30 NOV 1969: TOB-03.00.08 A.M: POB-VIJAYAWADA (A.P). Analysis of the chart--- 5 th cusp sub lord is Jupiter. Jupiter is the lord of 4 & 7 placed in 1 st house. Jupiter is in Mars star and Venus sub. The star lord Mars is the lord of 3 & 8 placed in 4 th house but very close to 5 th cusp that is within the orb of less than 3 degrees. The sub lord Venus is the lord 2 & 9 placed 2 nd house. So the 5 th cusp sub lord Jupiter signifies 2, 5 houses, and so the progeny is assured. A) According to 4 Step method, A= 5 th cusp sub lord is Jupiter. B=Jupiter is in Venus sub. C=Venus is the star of Jupiter. This Jupiter is in Libra -7 th sign odd sign- and she had a male child as her first issue. She got her first issue on 3 June 2004, that is during the period of Venus dasa x Saturn KP Ezine October 2013 41 bhukthi x Venus anthara x Mars sookshma. The dasa lord Venus signifies 2 nd by both lordship and occupation. The bhukthi lord Saturn signifies 5 & 11, The Anthara lord Venus signifies 2,5. The Sookshma lord Mars signifies 5.. 2) Birth of Twins second issueThe second issue is judged by 7 th cusp in female charts. Here in the said chart the seventh cusp sub lord is Jupiter. As per rule Jupiter is the lord of 7 th house and Pisces- a dual sign. It is also the lord of Sagittarius, another dual sign. Thus as per sri Kanak jis rule, the relevant cusp sub lord is connected to dual sign, and the issue will be twin birth. The native had second issue as twin births on 25 Jan 2008 and they are female children. A) As per simplified method of sri V.S.N.Murthy--- (a) the 7 th cusp sub sub lord is Mars. (b) Mars is in the star of Mars. This Mars is Dhanishta star in Capricorn, Dhanishta is a female star, and so this native had female twins. B) As per Hora method the 7 th cusp sub lord is Jupiter- (A). Venus and Rahu are in Jupiter stars- (B). This Venus is in Scorpio on 00.43.39 longitude ie: Moon hora- female children. Rahu rep- resents Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter is in Libra sign on 3.40.19 longitude Moon hora fe- male children. Saturn is in Aries on 9.47.29 longitude Moon hora female children. In this chart the sub lord of 5 th cusp as well as 7 th cusp is Jupiter but the 1 st issue related to 5 th cusp is male child and the 2 nd issue related to 7 th cusp is female children. So any child sex prediction method based on the 5 th or 7 th cusp sub lord cannot give a correct pre- diction for both issues. C) As per Sri K. Baskarans Cuspal Interlinks method also, the 7 th cusp sub lord in this chart is Jupiter. The 7 th and 9 th cusp sub lord is also Jupiter, and so the native had twin births. The native gave birth to twins on 25 Jan 2008 i.e., during the Venus dasa x Mercury bhuk- thi x Rahu anthara x Mercury sookshma. Venus signifies 2, 7, & 9; Mercury signifies 2 and Rahu signifies 5 & 7. The female children are born with a difference of one minute that is the first one at 11.25.05 A.M and second one at 11. 26.58 A.M and both are hale and healthy. The above analysis clearly speaks about the simplicity, clarity and brevity of the K.P. rules in arriving at the solution to the problem. Horary No.116, Date- 26/7/2013, Time: 09:00:44 AM, Place: Khandwa(M.P. )Long/Lat: 21 N 49 76 E 23 Ayanansa: 23:56:55 No.116: Mercury/Moon/Saturn. Ruling planets: Day lord Venus ; Asc Sun/ Venus /Jupiter; Moon-Saturn/ Jupiter /Mercury, Rahu as an agent of Venus Total R.P. are Jupiter, Venus, Sun, Mercury, Saturn & Rahu Now Leo asc. is running: Leo-7:31:49 to 9:42:27 AM , Virgo 9:42:27 to 11:51:53 AM , Libra 11:51:53 AM to 14:05:21 PM We are moving lagna for the same day result of train arrival time, which is 11:25 am. For that time running lagna is Virgo (lord-Mercury), running star is Mars. Virgo lord Mercury is in the ruling planets but star Mars is not in the ruling. Planets. So leave this lagna Virgo. End of Virgo lagna is at 11:51:53 AM. It means train will not come in right time. Now check Libra (lord-Venus) lagna. End of Libra lagna is at 14:05:21 PM. Now check first Mars star in Libra lagna. Mars is not in the ruling planets. So leave this star. [Mars takes around 30 minutes in this lagna]. So 11:51 + 30 min = 12:21 PM. Thus train will not come till this time. Next go for Rahu star which is in the ruling planets. Rahu star takes approxi- mately 1 hrs in this lagna. There are 9 subs in Rahu star as follows: Transition Information for Lagna Location: KHANDWA, MADHYA PRADESH, India Date: 26/Jul/2013 Start Time: 11:51:53 AM End Time: 02:05:23 PM Transition Information Table Sign Time Lord Star Lord Sub Lord 12:21:06 PM Ve Ra Ra 12:29:55 PM Ve Ra Ju 12:37:46 PM Ve Ra Sa 12:47:07 PM Ve Ra Me 12:55:30 PM Ve Ra Ke 12:58:58 PM Ve Ra Ve 01:08:53 PM Ve Ra Su 01:11:51 PM Ve Ra Mo 01:16:49 PM Ve Ra Ma 01:20:18 PM KP Ezine October 2013 43 We have already taken Rahu as a star. So now we decide for sub Jupiter (12:29:55 PM Ve Ra Ju 12:37:46 PM) as Jupiter is the highest category ruling planet by being sub lord of la- gna and star lord of Moon.. Result: so train will come in Libra lagna, Rahu star and Jupiter sub, during the time 12:29:55 PM to 12:37:46 PM. Actual Outcome : train has come at 12:35 pm. This is the power of ruling planets. Aynamsha: 23 0 .57'.29" Rule: In dancing competition winner is only a competitor who has good quality of knowledge of dancing. For dancing we consider 5th cusp, If 5th cusp sub lord signifies 5 (Creative ability/Capability/), 10 (Accomplishment/ Achieve- ment/Aura of authority), 11 (Special consideration / Desire), one achieves a good position in dancing. For Drashti Dhami Cusp 5 (Sagittarius 04 0 .14.21): The cusp sub lord of 5 th is Moon. Moon is in the star of Rahu and sub of Jupiter. Moon is occupant of 3 and owner of 12. No planet is in the star of Moon and Moon is the CSL of 1-5 (Creative ability/Capability/). Star lord Rahu is occupant of 3. Rahu is conjoining with Moon, Venus, and Saturn. Thus Bhukit- Sookshma lord Jupiter signifies 11(Special consideration / De- sire). So Bhukit- Sookshma lord indicates winning. Antra lord Sun is in the star of Venus and sub of Saturn. Sun is occupant of 1, owner of 1. Star lord Venus is occupant of 3, owner of 3-10. Sub lord Saturn is occupant of 3, owner of 6-7. Thus Antra lord Sun signifies 10(Accomplishment/ Achievement/Aura of authority). So antra lord indicates winning. Joint period for Opponent Lauren (second highest score gainer): At the time of grand final on 14-9-2013, the joint period of Rahu-Jupiter-Sun-Jupiter will be running. Dasa lord Rahu is in the star of own and sub of Venus. Rahu is occupant of 9. Rahu is conjoining with Moon, Venus, and Saturn. Moon is occupant of 9 and owner of 6. Jupiter is occupant of 5 (Creative ability/Capability/), owner of 2-11(Special consideration / Desire). Thus Bhukit- Sookshma lord Jupiter signifies 5(Creative ability/Capability/), 11(Special consideration / Desire). So Bhukit- Sookshma dasa indicates winning. Antra lord Sun is in the star of Venus and sub of Saturn. Sun is occupant of 7, owner of 7. Star lord Venus is occupant of 9, owner of 4-9. Sub lord Saturn is occupant of 9, owner of 1-12. Thus Antra lord Sun does not signify 5-10-11 at all. So antra dasa does not indicate winning. My opinion: Antra lord for opponent does not indicate 3-10-11 at all, thus wining in Jhalak Dikhala jaa - 6, is sure for Drashti Dhami. Outcome: Drashti Dhami is the winner as per my prediction. KP Ezine October 2013 48 Ques&on-Answer By: Tin Win Email: tw853@yahoo.com Question 1: Why cuspal Sub Lord is not considered? To analyze the chart of a mother for her son, who is bed ridden due to an accident, as per my understanding, I have to rotate the mother's chart to her 5th house for 1st child and forecast accordingly. To get more understanding on this matter, I have gone through some articles in the old issues of Arthrishta & Astrology magazines. But all the authors have discussed only the planet in house but not sub lord of the relevant house. And they have looked on planets' star and sub but not the sub lord of cusps. What is the reason? Which is correct? Can you please guide me? Answer 1 After rotating the chart as you've said, the following rule can be applied, after counting houses from the rotated Ascendant. If the sub lord of mainly the 11th cusp and 6th cusp be the significator of house 1, 5 or 11, the native recovers from disease, here injury, during the joint dasa period of significa- tors of house 1, 5 or 11. (For a Chara or movable Ascendant, 11 th house is Badhaka, so consider 9th house instead of 11 th house.) (KP Reader VI, pp 158, 308; Chandrakant R. Bhatt: Nakshatra Chintamani, pp 12, 109, Further Light on Nakshatra Chintamani, p 15, Prashna Jyotish, p 83). The 11th or 6th or any cuspal sub lord (CSL) is also a planet, the dasa period lords. The CSL of a house indicates whether the house matter is promised or not. Here if the 11th CSL signifies house 1, 5 or 11, recovery from disease or injury is promised. The joint dasa period lords, DBAS, pinpoint the timing of event, when one will recover from dis- ease or injury. (KP Reader III pp 226, 362/ 1971 edition, practical part pp 68, 194; KP Reader V page 224/ 1971 edition p 211). The signification of a CSL (planet) or dasa period lord (planet) should be considered at the planet, star and sub levels by occupation and ownership in general, and Rahu/Ketu by occupation, planets conj/ aspt and its star lord in particular. In order to know what each planet can contribute always consider its sub lord. (KP Reader III p 362/ 1971 edition, practical part, p 194) CSL or dasa period lord is a planet, and the signification of any planet should be considered up to the sub level of a planet, as per KP of the sub lord theory, otherwise it is not a KP analysis. Question 2: Different Types of Foreign Travel From KP-Ezine August 2013 ,12th CSL signification of 12, 9, 3 indicates overseas journey. What are the houses to be judged for: Permanently settling in abroad B) Staying for few years & return C) Just make visit & return? KP Ezine October 2013 49 * Also, for an event person leaving home for reasons, returning back to home. (joining parents or brothers) Answer 2: 1. Foreign travel is indicated if the 12th cuspal sub lord signifies house 3, preferably 9 or 12, and to be materialized during the conjoined periods of significators of house 3, 9 or 12. This is the basic rule for any kind of foreign travel, and signification of additional house 5 for visit or leisure, 6, 10 for job, 9, 5 (intelligence) for education, 7 for business or marriage, 6, 8 medical treatment etc. (KP Reader III, p 314; KP Reader VI, pp 300-301) 2. If both the 12th cuspal sub lord and 1st cuspal sub lord signify house 3, 9 or 12, then there is settlement abroad, as per a study of 100 charts of foreign settlement, otherwise af- ter a temporary or long stay abroad one comes back to the home country. 3. One returns to the home country from foreign land during the joint dasa period of signifi- cators of house 3, 9 or 11, as per study of 20 charts that returned to the home country. Here house 11 indicates reunion with kith and kin and also fulfillment of desire. In addition to 11 th house, for joining parents signification of house 4, 9, brothers/sisters 3, 11, spouse 7 etc. should be checked. (KP Reader V, p 207; KP Reader VI, pp 254, 263, 301; M.S. Me- hta: Planets and Travel Abroad, Sagar Publications, 1996) Question 3: Is abortion or miscarriage counted as an issue of child? I would like to have your guidance on the following issue, if your valuable time permits. How to select the required cusp for a particular pregnancy of a woman? For e.g., a woman who is having her 2nd pregnancy for the second child got abortion in the 2nd month. Now if I would like to know whether she has another child promised or not? Do I need to consider 9th CSL connection to 2 and 11 or 7th CSL to 2,11. Sri. VSN Murthy garu of Kurnool told me that any abortion from the 3rd month onwards should be considered as a delivery. Is this tested and found correct? If the qurrent & the astrologer don't know about the abortion (some times there is a possi- bility for this type immediately on 35th or 40th day after previous menstruation ) is it cor- rect to consider 5th , 7th, 9th, 11th for 1,2,3 4th child births? Irrespective of abortions do we need to consider living children only for the next child birth? Answer 3: The 5 th house basically speaks about offspring, precisely about first child. The 5 th house can be treated as hypothetical ascendant of first child. While interpreting the results for 5 th
house, we generally take the first living child of the native. But sometimes it may not give accurate prediction. In some cases, there may be miscarriage, abortion, death of first child soon after birth or still birth. In such cases, we have to understand that 5 th house gives in- formation of only miscarriage, abortion, etc of first child. The second child, third child etc are indicated by 7 th , 9 th house cusp respectively and so on, as the younger sibling of the na- tive is presented by 3 rd house from 5th house. So when there has been an abortion or miscarriage after 3 months from conception, the fe- tus is counted as one issue of child because during that time the sex of child is already clear physically, and baby moves from being an embryo to the fetal period, now called a fe- tus whose heart beat can be heard with a fetal Doppler. For twin or multiple birth, only one issue is to be counted. (see K. Subramaniam, edt: Progeny and Romance, p 186; K. Hari- haran: Handbook on Astrology, Part II, pp 86-87; Sanjay Rath: Crux of Vedic Astrology, pp 187-188) Another view by some is that a child is only after the birth with the birth time, and so any abortion or miscarriage is not counted as an issue. It implies that no house cusp is allotted for abortion or miscarriage of children. KP Ezine October 2013 50 Question 4: Signification in KP, only Star or all three steps up to the Sub? In Reader 6 , one can see Guruji mentioning that that " If the sublord of 5th cusp is depos- ited in a constellation of a planet , which is a significator of 7 and 11 then love marriage is promised " . Like this Guruji has mentioned in so many places in Reader 6 . Here 5th Cuspal sublords star lord should signify 7 and 11 .Signification means owner- ship and occupation of 5th Cuspal sublords starlord or ABCD Significations of 5th Cuspal sublords starlord .Like this for other examples .Pls clarify . Answer 4: As we are aware, only the usual grade A, B, C, D significators (by occupation and lordship of planet and its star lord) have been found consistently mentioned in the KP Reader III, pp 342; KP Reader IV, pp 118, 128, 201; KP Reader V pp 149, 201; KP Reader VI pp 157, 197, 247 etc. in particular, and KP SWs and the KP literature in general. Regarding Rahu/ Ketu, their significators should be considered as shown in answer 7 or KP Reader VI p 288 i.e., more than KP SW print out. In addition to the above grade A, B, C, D signficators, the significators of the planets sub lord by occupation and lordship also should be considered in the KP analysis of the sub lord theory considering three steps up to sub level, according to the following KP funda- mental rule, (otherwise it will be only stellar theory with two steps of planet and its star lord only): "Planet is the source, constellation indicates nature of the results, and the SUB is deci di ng factor whether the matter is favourable or not." (Krishnamurti Padhdhati, Volume 2, Sugar Publication, Jan 1966, p 41) "This discovery has crowned me with success." (KP Reader III , pp 136-137/ 1971edition, theory part pp 129-130, KP Reader V, pp 136-137/ 1971 edition 129-130 & KP Reader VI, pp 81-82; Chandrakant R. Bhatt: Nakshatra Chintamani, p 23- 24; K.M. Subramaniam: the last 'Sublord Speaks' article LX, in K.P. & Astrology Year Book 1998 p 69, reprinted in SUBLORD SPEAKS part 3, p 141) Guruji KSK has crowed, "This discovery (of the sub-lord) has crowned me with success." under "Cusps and Subs- How to Judge" simultaneously in the KP Reader III, pp 137-150/ 1971 edition, theoretical part, pp 131-144, KP Reader V pp 131-144 and KP Reader VI pp 77-87, which was not included in the Krishnamurti Padhdhati, Vol. 1 or 2. In other words, the signification of a planet by occupation and lordship at all three levels of planet itself, its star lord and sub lord should be considered, as in the Chan- drakant R. Bhatts KP book, considering the sub as deciding factor, calling houses signified at planet and its sub levels as "connected" houses with the planet. However, the six fold significator table* (i.e. the usual four fold significator table of grade A, B, C, D significators plus significators of sub by occupation and lordship) is not applied in the six KP readers in particular, and KP practice in general, because the subs signication cannot be considered as straight significators, which will contradict with the above basic KP principle of sub as a decider. (* The idea of significators with the sub mentioned in three places on pp 113-114, 274 and 318-319 of Krishnamurti Padhdhati, Vol. 2, Sagar Publications, 1966, but no more in the six KP Readers) Moreover, there will be no more role of the sub in choosing fruitful significators, if it is in- cluded in the significator table; for e.g. for marriage, reject those planets which are in the sub of planets in 1, 6 and 10, as these are the 12 th houses to the houses 2, 7 and 11, and select the planets that are on the sub of the planets signifying 2, 7 and 11. (KP Reader IV, p 150) To select the strongest significators, reject the planets that are not in the sub of lords KP Ezine October 2013 51 of 2, 5 and 11. (ibid p 235) Therefore the six fold significator table supported by the KPAsro 4.1 WS can be used with caution regarding the subs significators, although the signification of a planet needs to be considered at all three levels of planet, star and sub. (KPE-zine Feb 2013 issue, Question & Answer section) With regards to love marriage, late Shri A. Raichur had found the rule "5th cusp sub lords connection with 7th house" valid in more than 90 percent of AA- rated 100 foreign born charts which are supposed love marriages, studied by Kanak Bosmia in testing of KP multi -marriage rule. The connection is by 5th sub lords signification of 7th house or 7th sub lords signification of 5 th house or both are the same. Question 5: Signification of Rahu/ Ketu In Page No 178 and 179 in Reader 6 and in other places Guruji has taken Jupiter is the owner of 3rd house . Rahu and Ketu represents Jupiter . Hence for C grade significations where Planets in the constellation of Owner is concerned , we will take plan- ets in the constellation of Jupiter. However, Guruji has taken planets in the constellation of Rahu and Ketu also .In other places also he has done this . Is it that we have to take the planets in the star of Nodes also if they represent occupants or owners not directly but as representatives of planets .Pls clarify Answer 5: In checking all the solved examples regarding Rahu/Ketu Rules in KP Readers III, IV, V and VI, whether Rahu/ Ketu as a Planet or Star lord or Sub lord, the results of the follow- ings are found taken depending on relevance to the matter under consideration, regardless of their sequence of order (Rahu and Ketu Rules in KP, in KP E-Zine, May 2007 issue): 1) House occupied by Rahu/ Ketu, 2) Planets in conjunction with Rahu/ Ketu, 3) Planets in aspect with Rahu/ Ketu, 4) Star lord of Rahu/ Ketu, 5) Sign lord of Rahu/ Ketu. Question 6: Can Cuspal Sublord Divert the Dasa Lord? In K.M Subramaniams Sublord Speaks all is fine .When it comes to Page 46 and Page 100 of Sublord speaks Vol 2 He says in Page 46 .Mars Dasa Moon Bhukti does not give foreign travel .But he looks at the Cuspal sublord of 2 and 4 . It signifies Houses of foreign travel . Hence Cuspal Sublord diverts the Dasa Lord . Again in Page 100 of Sublord Speaks Volume 2 , Daturn signifies 8 and 11 .8 indicates ac- cident .11 should have got relief . But then nothing like that .To substantiate that he takes the 11th Cuspal sublord Mars . Mars signifies thru Sub 4 and 8 and hence no relief .Here again Cuspal Sublord diverts the Dasa lord . In sublord Speaks Vol 3 pages 141 to 148 , he has written about a beggars life where he has explained the concept of Cuspal Sublord diverts the Dasa lord . The point is that other than the 3 places where I have mentioned above , he has used the significations at the sublevel mainly as it is . As a professional astrologer when a client KP Ezine October 2013 52 comes to us , are we supposed to check the Cuspal sublord of the significator and use the principle of CSL diverts the Dasa lord or take the significators as it is .How will we decide ? Hope u got me Sir and pls clarify. Answer 6: The cuspal sub lord (CSL) can divert the dasa lord when the CSL is a strong significator op- posite to the signification of dasa lord in the following circumstances: If the 8th CSL gets strong signification for any one of houses 1,2,3,6,10, a person need not at all worry about, whatever may the Dasa is on or to come. In this particular chart 11th Badhaka bhava sublord is Jupiter, which is in 10th. Therefore Badhakasthana los- es its strength. ('Sub-Lords who Diverts the Dasa Lords', Astro secrets & KP Part II, pp 53 & 56) Another example, take the 10 th cusp. If the sub lord signifies 5 th and 9 th hous- es, even in the period of the planet having full signification of 10 th (i.e. either in 10 th in its own star or owning10th cusp without any plnet in the 10 th and at the same time having no planet in its stars or situated in the star of a planet in 10 th ) he will have no definite occupation and in this period, the significators of 5 th and 9 th only will be felt. No definite occupation, but much name or recognition will be there. It will be just barren period so far as his occupation is concerned but will be fortunate in regard to progeny, political connections, creative work, research etc. ("Cuspal Sublords and their Impact on Dasa Effects", For Krishnamurti Padhdhati Students only, by Sri K. M. Subramaniam, in As- trology & Athrishta May 1981 issue, pp 17-26/ reprinted in "Astro Secrets & KP Part III, edt by K. Subramaniam, 2002, pp 23-34) Rahu- X cusp sublord is Rahu. No planet in the star of Rau. Therefore Rahu is a strong significator of the X house, even though he occupies the IX. ("The Golden Rule in KP, Astro secrets & KP Part II, p197) The cuspal sub lords become the strongest significators of concerned houses by being the CSL, if there is no planet in their stars. (KP Reader III p 309, KP & Astrology, 1991 July p 1 & November p 8, PS Rao, Vikari Ramamurthi, Kuppu Ganapathi, R. Mukunda Rajan, Kanak Bosmia etc.) Question 7: Role of Fortuna in Prediction What is the role of Fortuna in prediction . I am not worried about the Calculation . Is Fortuna Sublords significations important or Fortunas placement important What is Fortunas role in Natal and Horary predictions ? Especially in Horary , how is Fortuna useful in predictions ? Can u explain all these concepts with examples. Answer 7: Importance was given to Fortuna at early stage of KP in the original "Krishnamurti Padhdhati Vol 1", Sagar Publications, 1966, pp 472-474, in a separate chapter but not in the six KP Readers where it is mentioned here and there a little bit only. Fortuna (KPE-zine Dec 2010 issue, Questions & Answers section) Fortuna = Moon + Lagna - Sun (in longitude) (KP Reader I, p 98) It is only a mathematical point in the chart. Generally fortuna is supposed to improve the matters indicated by the house occupied by it. Fortuna gives fortune to one in the conjoined period and sub period of the star lord and sub lord in which it is posited. (KP Reader III, pp 178, 191/ 1971 edition, practical part, pp 24, 36). KP Ezine October 2013 53 As per the original Krishnamurti Padhdhati Vol 1, pp 472-474, Sagar Publications, 1966, the results of Fortuna in the various houses are as shown below: 1st house: gain in enterprises, lead a happy life, come up by own efforts 2 nd : gain through property, make profit by business, lead a happy domestic life, enjoy satisfactory bank position 3 rd : gain through brother, make profitable short journey, enjoy the good relationship with neighbours. 4 th : gain through landed property, some hidden treasure and products of earth, miner- als, metals, etc., 5 th : gain through fortunate investments and children, young people and ambassodors 6 th : helpful, lucky uncle and aunty, gain through servants , small animals and doing banking business 7 th : gain through partners or other sex, contracts and dealings with others; victory over enemies 8 th : gain by inheritance, insurance business, gratuity, bonus etc. 9 th : higher studies, long journeys, gain through dealing with foreigners, foreign trade, publication etc. 10 th : name, fame, reputation, promotion. 11 th : beneficial friends, helpful brother, profitable business, realization of hopes, fulfill- ment of desire 12 th : lucky in purchases and sales, fortunate in investments, gains from unknown sources Vijay Kumar has used to apply the Fortuna as per its occupied house and signification of its star and sub lords in his articles in the KPE-zine old issues and in the K.P. & Astrology Year Books. Note: In the horary chart with a KP horary number, since the house occupied by Fortuna itself and the houses occupied and owned by the planets are counted from the horary La- gna, it is more reasonable to calculate Fortuna from the "horary" Lagna. So check whether Fortuna is calculated from the "horary" Lagna by the software used as some SWs are calcu- lating from the "natal or time" chart Lagna. (KPE-zine March 2011 issue, Questions & An- swers section) Question 8: Differences between KP and Four Step Method I have read your comments that 4 step theory is different from KP and in predictions it of- fers different results . Do u have any examples where KP has come out well and for the same chart as per 4 step the results are different . In my experience 4 step theory hits the bulls eye . Hence the clarifications .Pls give max examples Answer 8: Differences between KP and Four Step Method (Courtesy of Astrovision July 2008 issue, Revised and Updated) (Table on next page) KP Ezine October 2013 54 Sr KP FOUR STEP METHOD * 1 Basis Based on a long term research of Guruji KSK in both Indian and Western astrology Basis Based on K.M. Subramaniams Sublord Speaks-1, 2, 3 articles 2 Signification by a Planet 1)Planet is the source, constellation indicates nature of the results and the SUB is deciding factor whether the matter is favorable or not 2) K.M. Subramaniam considers the sub lord as a decider and its star lord for its signification. (Sublord Speaks LX, last article, in K P & Astrology 1998, p 69, re- printed in SUBLORD SPEAKS part 3, p 141) Signification by a Planet 1) A planet signifies the event through 4 steps: i)Planet itself, ii) Star lord of the planet, iii) Sub lord of the planet, iv) Star lord of this sub lord, and 3rd & 4th steps are more important. 2) The 4th step is the alleged extension. 3) The SUB lord in 3rd step is also a significa- tor not a decider like in KP. 3 Basic Significators 1) All significators are considered in the order of strength, grade A,B,C,D & E with the astrologers own judgment based on his experi- ence taking into account of sub lords. 2) Signification at the planet, star and sub levels are simultaneously considered by C.R. Bhatt, K.M. Subramaniam (Sublord Speaks), Umang Taneja, Kanak Bosmia etc. 3) A planet having no planet in its star is considered as a strong sig- nificator of the houses for whose cusps the planet is a sub lord. (KP Reader III p 309, KP & Astrology, 1991 July p 1 & November p 8, PS Rao, Vikari Ramamurthi, Kuppu Ganapathi, R. Mukunda Rajan, Ka- nak Bosmia etc 4) The sub lord is a decider in judg- ing whether a planet or cusp or sig- nificator or dasa lord is favorable or not. Basic Significators 1) Only the primary or strong significators are considered. 2) The house occupied by a planet with no planet in its star or a planet in its own star (KP grade B significator) and the houses owned by the planet when they are empty (KP grade D significators) are 4 step primary sig- nificators (upgraded KP grade A significators from B & D). 3) The house occupied by a planet acting as the star lord of another planet, i.e. a planet in the step 2 or 4 (KP grade A significator) and the houses owned by the planet when they are empty (KP grade C significators) are 4 step primary significators (KP grade A & upgraded KP grade A significators from C). 4) The signification of a planet in 1st and 3rd step (sub lord) having another planet in its star is not considered, i.e. useless. 4 Planet Having No Planet in its Stars & Planet in its Own Star They are not the same and only a planet having no planet in its star, but not a planet in its own star, is considered as a strong significator of the houses for whose cusps the planet is a sub lord. Planet Having No Planet in its Stars & Planet in its Own Star They are the same as the house occupied by a planet with no planet in its star or a planet in its own star is a primary significator. KP Ezine October 2013 55 5 Rahu/Ketu Significators 1) Whether Rahu/Ketu is a planet or star lord or sub lord, the followings e been found taken in KP Readers de- pending on relevance to the event un- der consideration regardless of their sequence of order (Rahu/Ketu Rules in KP ,KPE-Zine, May 2007 issue): i) House occupied by Rahu/Ketu, ii) Planet in conjun. with Rahu/Ketu, iii) Planet in aspect to Rahu/Ketu and iv) Star lord of Rahu/Ketu, v) Sign lord of rasi sign occupied by Ra- hu/Ketu. 2) Conjunction in the same rasi sign and Hindu aspect without orb are used. 3) No planet, including Rahu/ketu, is wholly benefic or malefic depending on the signification at 3 levels of planet, star and sub by occupation and lord- ship. Rahu/Ketu Significators 1) The same rules of primary significators in point 2.2. apply to Rahu/Ketu. 2) Only if Rahu/Ketu is itself the primary significator, then the house occupied, the planets in conjunction or aspecting within the orb of 3 20 (extendable to 5 esp. for fast moving planets, if needed), its star lord and sign lord also will become the primary significators. 3) When Rahu/Ketu is the star lord of an- other planet, i.e. it is in the step 2 or 4, the house occupied and the houses owned by its star lord are considered. 4) Rahu is a blemish planet, which creates problems and does not give the results effec- tively to the native when it is in the DBA, unless Rahu is a strong significator of the improving houses in all 4 steps. 6 Planet Close to Next Cusp Guruji KSK has taken the result of the Next house ONLY by closeness to the next cusp. (Krishnamurti Padhdhati, Vol. 2, Sagar Publications, 1966, p 281, 5 th para; KP Reader IV, page 108 3rd para) Planet Close to Next Cusp A planet is supposed to be a significator of both the previous house in which that planet is posited and the next house to whose cusp the planet is very close. In this case, the re- sult of the next house may not be effective as the previous house is detrimental or Vyaya or Vrava or negative to the matters of next house. (KP Reader III, KP Reader IV, Chan- drakant R. Bhatt: Nakshatra Chintamani). 7 KP Grade E to Grade A Significators 1) They are considered as weak signifi- cator after grade A,B,C & D and used as a last resort. 2) Conjunction in the same rasi sign and Hindu aspect are considered with- out using orb. 3) Grade E significators are planets which are conj. and aspected by sig- nificators A,B,C,D but not planets aspecting A,B,C,D. 4) No planet is wholly benefic or malefic depending on its signification at planet, star and sub levels by occupation and lordship. 5) Rahu/Ketu does not aspect any planet or house since it is not a planet having physical body but it is only a sensitive intersecting point in the path- way of Sun and Moon. KP Grade E to Grade A Significators 1) If a planet is in conjunction with a cusp within the prescribed orb, behind or ahead the cusp, the planet automatically becomes a primary (KP grade A) significator of this cusp in any of 4 steps. 2) Only if the original planet itself is a prima- ry significator, i) if a planet is conjoined with another planet within the prescribed orb, the planet is a primary significator of another planet, ii) if a planet aspects on the cusps within the prescribed orb, the planet be- comes a primary significator of these houses whose cusps are aspected; iii) if a planet has the Hindu aspect (throwing or receiving) with another planet within the prescribed orb, the planet is a primary significator of another planet. 3) Ketus 7th aspect on the cusp is taken. 4) A well known practitioner does not use the 7th aspect of planets. KP Ezine October 2013 56 8 Ruling Planets 1) The RPs in order of preference are: i) Lagnas star lord ii) Lagnas sign lord iii) Moons star lord iv) Moons sign lord v) Day lord, 2) Moons sub lord and Lagnas sub lord are added by some KP followers. 3) If Rahu/Ketu is in conj. or aspect with the RP; or if it occupies the sign owned by the RP, Rahu/Ketu should be included as the RP. 4) The RP in the star or sub of retrograde planet should be omitted. Ruling Planets 1) The RPs are in the order of: i) Lagna lord, ii) Moons star lord, iii) Moons sign lord, and iv) Day lord only. 2) Rahu/Ketu is considered as RP, only if it directly appears in the RPs. 3) The alleged advancement of 4 step is fixing the DBA without using the RPs. 4) But RPs are used to confirm or correct the sub lord of the cusp under judgment. But it is not to recast the horoscope again and to correct only the required sub lord because when one judges the other mat- ter of the same native then again one will confirm the related cuspal sub lord. 9 Retrogression 1) It does not matter in the natal chart analysis but it does not give results in Horary, if it comes as star/sub lords to the significator. 2) A convincing proof is still needed for a claim that retrogression has no effect in Horary. Retrogression 1) Retrogression is not working in the Ho- rary as well as natal prediction. 2) But retrogression is used in checking the transits of DBA lords, which should not be in the concerned star and sub of retrograde planets for the materialization of an event. 10 Uranus, Neptune & Pluto Pluto, no more a planet since 2006, now called Plutoid, was not even mentioned in KP Readers. No planet is wholly benefic or malefic. Uranus, Neptune & Pluto Pluto gives adverse results. Negative effect of Neptune is not yet sure on the basis of insufficient cases. 11 House Grouping Mostly 3, rarely 4 houses are grouped for an event to happen. House Grouping More houses are added, for marriage 2,7,11 & 5,8; for foreign 3,9,12 & 5,7 per- haps in order to signify by the strong or primary significators only. 12 More than one Marriage If 7th cusp sub lord is connected to dual- ity & 2nd cusp sub lord signifies 7th More than one Marriage If the sub lords of 6th cusp & 7th cusp are the same. 13 Cannot Own a House in Life Guruji KSKs 4th cusp sub lord is Rahu. (Astrosecrets & KP Part II, p 252) Cannot Own a House in Life If 4th cusp sub lord is Rahu, which is al- legedly said by Guruji KSK. KP Ezine October 2013 57 14 Child Sex Guruji KSK, I never had any experience in pin-pointing the sex (of child) before birth... (KP Reader IV p 236 last para) Child Sex If the 4th step star lord of child cusp (starting from 5th for mother and 11th for father) sub lord is in odd sign, male child is indicated; if in even sign, fe- male. 15 Promise of Event 1) It is promised, if the sub lord of cusp under judgment is a significator of any of the required houses (2, 7, 11 for marriage) without any other strong negative signifi- cation. 2) It is not promised, if the cusp sub lord does not signify any of the required hous- es or there is a strong negative significa- tion. . Promise of Event 1) It is promised, if the sub lord of con- cerned cusp under judgment is a prima- ry significator of any of the required houses (2, 7, 11 & 5, 8 for marriage) in any of 4 steps unless there are only the primary significators of totally negative houses (1, 6, 10, 12) in the steps 3 and 4. 2) It is not promised, only if the primary significators of totally negative houses appear in the steps 3 & 4. 16 Negative House The previous house is detrimental or Vyaya or negative to the matters of next house. (KP Reader III & IV, Bhatts Nakshatra Chintamani). Negative House The 1st house is not a negative house for 2nd, but a primary house to get money; 10th is not a negative house to 11th but it is not applicable in marriage matters. 17 Computerized Significators Grade A,B,C & D are not final and to be judged by the concerned subs etc. Computerized Significators They were supposed to be final as sup- ported by KPAstro 3.0, Astro-Kundli etc. but no more due to changing rules. 18 Fixing DBAS 1) 3 methods of selecting fruitful signifi- cators: i) by using RPs; ii) selecting the significators which are in the stars of the cusp sub lord of the concerned houses; iii) selecting the significators whose sub lords are one of the significators. 2) Significators which signify 12th to the required houses should be rejected. The houses 6,8,12 to the concerned house are unfavorable to this house. 3) A planet which appears many times among signficators/RPs or connected to various significators should be chosen. Fixing DBAS 1) The event will fructify only when the DBA lords are jointly the primary sig- nificators of all the required houses (2, 7, 11 for marriage), signifying at least one different house each by DBA. 2) Events are found happen without the complete DBA chain and so Sookshma is included to make a chain complete chain in DBAS. It is also said to use both chains without a prior clue which chain will be complete in reality. Some hints are available how to choose Anta- ra but Sookshma is decided on case by case basis only. KP Ezine October 2013 58 19 Transit Check An event generally happens during the joint period of the significators when the transit agrees i.e. at the time while Sun, Moon and joint DBAS lords are found to be transiting in the star or sub of the same joint DBAS lords. Transit Check 1) The event will fructify, only if the star lord for fast moving planets and sub lord for slow moving planets, in which the DBA lords are transiting, are the primary significators of the required houses in the first 2 steps, neglecting negative houses. 2) The event will not happen during the period while there are only the primary significators of the totally negative houses in the first 2 steps or while the said star lord or sub lord is retrograde. 20 Significators of almost All Houses 3 selection methods and other means mentioned in item 15 can be used. Significators of almost All Houses It is stuck and the same with significa- tors of a very few houses only. 21 Established Rules Rules are established in the six KP Read- ers based on Guruji KSKs long term research. Established Rules Rules are not yet consistently and clear- ly established, and still have been modi- fied on the basis on-going experimental research like Plutos negative effect against existing rules, no more reliabil- ity of SW supported significators, no written reference book that contain all essential basic rules. 22 Bottom Line Since the techniques, rules and steps of KP are different from 4 Step, the results cannot be the same as given by 4 Step. Bottom Line Since the techniques, rules and steps of 4 Step are different from KP, the results cannot be the same as given by KP. * See the most comprehensive article Four Step Theory that covered all basic rules, which may not include the latest modifications, in the KPE-Zine, Dec 2007 issue. This approach is in the right path of KP, as mentioned in the KP Reader VI, To find birth time--- only the Ruling Planets at the moment of judgment will be useful and innumerable instances are given in the magazine Astrology & Athrishta. The general rule according to the basic KP guide line is that the present (RP) Moon will in- dicate the birth Ascendant and the present Ascendant (RP) will indicates the Moons posi- tion at the time of birth. The author says in this book, Unless the client raises specific doubts in his birth-time, we need not attempt unnecessarily to correct the birth-time at all. However, it is better to check his birth-horoscope by taking the RPsLike this we should practice the art of re- lating all the twelve bhavas with the present position of the Moon.. Only because our predictions fail often, it is not reasonable to jump to the conclusion that the birth time is wrong. Although there are so many birth time rectification methods, the authors approach based on his research work may be helpful for KP learners in deriving the accurate birth time, which is the prime requirement for correct predictions.
