In the era of globalization, free market competition, diverse workforce and increasing
technological diversity and complexity, organizations are facing new challenges. In order to
cope with new situations and challenges corporate world needs solution of such demands. In
every initiatives of business there lies societys welfare. The power of and influence of
business in society is greater than ever before. Business makes major contribution towards
society as such creating goods and services, generating employment, contributing to the

Although CSR, as a concept, defies a single definition, there is a universal acceptance of the
ideology and that refers to business engagement that creates economic value for itself while

Today, CSR has attracted public attention and has received global resonance, as the risks

Bangladesh Limited. Those social activities provide evidence of having much more
credibility for the existence of Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR).

its way in successfully deploying the first cogeneration system here at GPHouse. The system
allows generation of own electricity and the use of by-product heat in absorption chiller for
internal cooling of the building. The building is saving approx. 60% energy comparing to the
traditional building system. The building has a waste water treatment plant which is saving
up to 31% of the regular water consumption. Water savings has reached now 12 million
Liters/Yr and the energy savings is approx. 11 GHz/Yr means over 6.1 Thousand tons of

To sum up, in our country many believe that CSR is a marketing strategy for most of the
companies but they are doing it for the welfare of society and also helping people by doing
different corporate social activities. So, CSR makes our society economically strong as well
as it is the best way to define a brand value. . The main objective of this report was to

Through this task we have gained real life experience on Principle of management. In doing
this report, we faced some difficulties like secrecy of information, prior experience etc.

wheather they are contributing to the society or just enlarging their brand name. Therefore,
