driven fellowship programmes
designed to promote capacity
building within organizations in 61
developing countries by providing
training and education to their mid-
career staff members. The NFP is
funded by the Netherlands Ministry
of Foreign Affairs under the
development cooperation budget.
The scholarships allow candidates to
pursue Master studies, PhD studies,
or short courses at Dutch Universities
1. be a professional with at least three years relevant
work experience;

2. be a national of, and working and living in one of the
countries on the NFP country list valid at the time of
application;

3. be nominated by your employer, who pledges to
continue paying your salary and guarantees that you will
be able to return to the same or an equivalent position at
the end of your fellowship period;

4. have been unconditionally admitted by a Dutch

The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange
and Study (YES) Program was
established in October 2002 to

The Korean Government Scholarship
Program is designed to provide higher
education in Korea for international

Government
Scholarship
Program for
Graduate
Students
citizenships. Applicants who hold Korean citizenship are
not permitted to apply for this program.

2. Applicants must be under 40 years of age as of Sep. 1st,
2012 (born after Sep. 1st, 1972).

3. Applicants must hold a Bachelors or Masters degree as
of September 1st of the selection year. Applicants who
have enrolled in or graduated from a university in Korea
are not eligible for the KGSP program. Specifically,
applicants who have previously enrolled in or graduated
from an undergraduate program, a masters program, or a
doctoral program in Korea cannot apply for this program.

4. Applicants must maintain a grade point average (GPA)
of at least 2.64 on a 4.0 scale, 2.80 on a 4.3 scale, 2.91 on
a 4.5 scale, or grades/marks/score of 80% or higher from
the previously attended institution. If the applicant does
not satisfy the above GPA requirements, he/she will be
ineligible to apply to this program.

The Aga Khan Foundation
provides a limited number of
scholarships each year for
postgraduate studies to
outstanding students from
developing countries who have
no other means of financing their

awarded on a 50% grant : 50%
loan basis through a competitive
application process once a year.
The Foundation gives priority to
requests for Masters level
courses but is also willing to
consider applications for PhD
programmes, when doctoral
degrees are necessary for the

Requests will also be considered
for travel and study awards for
PhD students doing their research
in Third World countries on topics
judged to be of interest to the
Aga Khan Development Network.

The main criteria for selecting award winners are:

plans. Candidates are also evaluated on their extra-
curricular interests and achievements, potential to
achieve their goals and likelihood to succeed in a foreign
academic environment. Applicants are expected to have
some years of work experience in their field of interest.
Half of the scholarship amount is considered as a loan,
which must be reimbursed with an annual service charge
of 5%. A guarantor is required to co-sign the loan
agreement. The payback period is five years, starting six
months after the study period funded by the Aga Khan

Scholarships

The scholarship covers both the
tuition fee (which is paid directly to
the Swedish university/university
college by the Swedish Institute)
and living expenses to the amount
of SEK 9,000 per month.
The scholarship is only awarded for
programmes starting in the
autumn semester
(August/September) and is granted
for one academic year, i.e. for two
semesters at a time. It will be
extended for programmes longer
than two semesters provided that
the student's study results are
satisfactory.
The scholarship is designed to
cover living costs and study
expenses for the scholarship
holder. There are no grants for
family members. The granted
scholarship period cannot be
altered or extended beyond the
study programme period nor can

Travel grants

The Swedish Institute is looking for applicants who

The Faculty of science of the
University of Geneva is an
internationally top-ranked
scientific institution covering a
broad range of scientific
disciplines: Astronomy, Biology,
Chemistry and Biochemistry,
Earth Sciences, Environmental
Sciences, Computer Sciences,
Mathematics, Pharmaceutical
Sciences and Physics. It has a
strong focus on research and
hosts three National Centres of
Competence in Research of the
highly competitive Swiss
National Science Foundation
(Frontiers in
Genetics; MaNEP; Chemical
Biology) and many European
collaborative research projects.
The Masters of the Faculty of
Application for an Excellence Fellowship is open to
students from any university with very good
performance in their studies (belonging to the
best 10% of their bachelor's program) and that
have completed the Bachelor degree or expect to
complete it within 6 months

. Selection of the
applicants will be based on excellence. Evaluation will
be made on the basis of the documentation sent by
the applicants.
