NETWORK CERTIFICATION
Working with HCL – CISCO, as Lead Engineer in Network Management Technology Project with sytem
testing and performance derivation Responsibilities for PDSN product. HCL – CISCO is the preferred
Engineering partner for CISCO with an offshore facility with more than 1500 engineers covering Cisco’s
entire range of networking products and technology areas.
• Prepared Test plan for PDSN 5.1 release for performing system testing.
• Performed system, scalable testing and performance derivation for PDSN 5.0 and 5.1 using tools
IXIA & Landslide
• Reviewed PRD, SFS , Test plan written by others and gave enhancement comments
• Filed nearly 20 crucial defects on PDSN 5.1 during system testing .
• Assisting the developers in reproducing customer issues in local setup and helping them to fix it.
• Made Planning to automate sanity system testing test cases for 5.1 releases.
Client Appreciation
• Won CISCO SPARC award for deliverables for PDSN 5.0 in July 2009.
• Won Customer appreciation for helping the developers in fixing a customer issue on time
Manual Testing of defects which are found in Cisco IOS by manually logging into the routers available at
San Jose via SSH and troubleshooting routing Edge service's technology named iEdge (ISG) and its related
access technologies like PPP, PPPoE, PPPoEoA, VPDN .
• The project involves 4 teams which are dedicated in testing the IOS-WAN features.
• The defects that are found on IOS are filed as DDTS (Distributed Defect Tracking System) and
sent to the development team to fix the bugs.
• Designing and Reviewing New Testbed Topologies. Whenever there is a requirement we used to
design it in a simple way so that all the features that we are testing can be accommodated. Used to
review others Testbed Topologies also
• Responsible for Integrating New Scripts from New Features Test Team to Regression Setup which
could involve minor modifications to the script and some related files.
• Special regressions which are BU Specials are generally on time-to-market releases covering only
technology areas where BU has not fully picked Up the Scripts. This Involves Manual Testing of
the Features.
• Have one to one with team members and know about their carrier goals which will help in
making plans and decisions at any time
• Frequent team meetings and brain storming session to over come any issues or bring up
any innovative ideas.
• Will never make people to stop knowing what’s there, Will motivate them to know
what’s not there and come up with plans to build it.
• Keep track of different task like no of integrations completed , regression carried on, no of bugs
filed by the team for every month ,add it on PPT and present it in OPS review
• Get the feedback from the reviewer and update the team to improve the quality and
quantity of
Work done.
• Assigning right task to the right people and get the work done.
• Motivating people in bringing new ideas to make work friendlier and easier.
• Attending conf calls with our Cisco managers and let them know the status of work,
convince them for delayed works, know their future plan and build a good reputation with them.
• Have played a major role in increasing CSAT value in the last cycle.
Achievements
• Had brought my reporting engineer in to production in a short span of time and shaped him to take
up my responsibilities during my absence. so that when I relive my team or company there will
not be any pressure to him or to my manager in all ways.
• Hard work and dedication have fetched me the promotion of Lead Engineer in a short span of
time.
• Received “Award of Appreciation” award for productivity by filing more no of DDTS.
• Received sprac award from my customer for bringing up an innovative idea
which helped in time optimization.
• Joining with senior members of my team, I had given a powerful presentation
On iEdge, a new technology to all other teams inside HCL who are new and about to work on that
technology.
• The Presentation which I took gave me recognition across other teams.
• Rated as Excellent rating in all performance review cycle
• Have mentored 5 of my colleagues related to project activities.
• Filed nearly 220 bugs out of which 50 count in six months cycle for which I received “Award of
Appreciation” in productivity”
• Worked as an acting PL when my PL was in onsite for 6 months. All the responsibilities of PL
was taken care by me and also got a big appreciation from my PL and PM for handling things in a
different and perfect manner.
