Although the products come from a common code base, Alfresco Enterprise does
have some enterprise extensions that simplify administration, increase scalability and
enable greater connectivity.
While Alfresco Community is released without a formal QA process, Alfresco Enterprise goes
through a comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) process. Testing for Alfresco Enterprise
includes both automated and manual testing, and is validated on various combinations of both

Support Difference
Alfresco Enterprise is provided as part of an annual support subscription. There are
no license fees for the server or per user license fees. Different levels of support are
available depending on the customers needs. For customers that require the optimum
service levels, Alfresco provide 24 x 7 support and optionally a designated Technical
Account Manager. There is a network of certied partners that can help implement
Alfresco Enterprise.
Alfresco Community is provided under an open source license and is free to download
and free to use. But Alfresco Community comes without any form of support. User must
be prepared to nd the solution to any issues by searching forums, wikis or rely on
community responses.
