Before the groom's mother is seated, she and the groom's father will light the groom's individual unity
candle. Likewise, before the bride's mother is seated, she and the bride's father will light the bride's
individual unity candle.

Giving in marriage Dar en matrimonio
In God's most amazing act of creation, He created beings in His own image.

They not only were made to reflect His image, but they were made in His image.

We read of this astonishing event in the first chapter of Genesis: "So God created man in His own
image; He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female" (v. 27).

Being made in the image of the triune God, the male was not complete when he was alone,

In the time of man's innocence, God instituted the estate of matrimony between the first man and the
first woman.

Marriage was consecrated by God, not only for mutual help and comfort, but also as a means of
procreation.

In marriage, God gave His creatures, man and woman, the ability - and the mandate - to create life
like themselves, life in the image of God.

Not only this, but God also gave this first couple a taste of redemption for mankind, as marriage is a

Not knowing any just reason that these two should not be married, I ask, "Who gives this woman to
be married to this man?"

Statement of Marriage - Declaracin de Matrimonio

another.

As you stand before the witness of God and this company, it is important that you give careful
consideration to that which you are promising.

Your first promise is to honor your mate. What does "to honor" mean?

As Christians, we look to God's Word for instruction on this and other important matters.

In doing so, we find that honor is a biblical term for respect, esteem, high regard, and reward.

In its various forms, it is found more than 222 times in the English Bible.

Honor is used to represent respect paid to superiors, such as God, Christ, kings and presidents,
church officers, the elderly, and parents.

Honor can also be something bestowed as a reward for virtuous behavior, such as for honoring God
or serving Christ, for manifesting wisdom, discipline, or righteousness.

como honrar a Dios o servir a Cristo, manifestar sabidura, disciplina o justicia.

To honor someone or something is to acknowledge and show respect for the authority or worthiness
of the object of one's honor.

de honor.

This is the connotation of "to honor" one's mate.
Esta es la connotacin de "honrar" su propia pareja.

As you make your vows to each other, you are pledging to acknowledge and to show respect for the
worthiness of your mate.

Showing honor to your mate involves an affective side (that is, a feeling of respect for your mate) as
well as outward manifestations (that is, your actions toward or regarding your mate).

Tragically, there are too few marriage partners who consistently keep this vow.

We see also in Scripture the highest example of such honor.

It is the example of Christ. In washing the disciples' feet, He paid them the honor of service, of
subjecting His own priorities to their interests.

(Groom) and (Bride), do you really love each other enough to honor each other as Christ would
have you do?

Are you prepared to follow Christ's example by subjecting your personal priorities to the other's best

Vows - Votos
(Groom) and (Bride), you have listened to this sobering explanation of the meaning of the vows
you are about to make.

These vows are as binding in adversity as they are in prosperity.

What are you presenting to symbolize your marriage vows?

You will now seal your vows, "to honor, to love, to cherish," by the giving and receiving of rings.

The unbroken circles of these rings symbolize a union between husband and wife with God that
cannot be broken.

This ceremony represents the inseparable union of (Groom) and (Bride) in a new and eternal marital

(Groom) and (Bride): today your lives are intertwined, and we symbolize this union through the
pouring of these two individual containers of sand.

Each represents everything that each of you has been, all you are and all that in the future will, as
individuals.

Take your containers, where every grain of sand represents their experiences, their friends and
family, feelings and events that were part of their lives separately.

again, and you will cease to exist as individuals to become a marriage united by love and under the
blessing of God."
Vacen la arena en este nuevo recipiente, en donde los granos de arena se mezclarn y no
podrn volver a separarse, y ustedes como individuos dejarn de existir para convertirse en
un matrimonio unido por el amor y bajo la bendicin de Dios.

- Begin to unite each other sand and says: -

Groom: "I am yours, you are mine, we are together forever, like this sand, we are now one forever"
Yo soy tuyo, tu eres ma, estamos juntos para siempre, como estas arenas, ahora somos uno

Bride: "You are my love for all my life, I join you, my heart is like each of these grains of sand and
now merge with yours
Tu eres mi amor para toda mi vida, Me uno a ti, mi corazn es como cada uno de estos

Minister:Now, these containers have been emptied and the sands have been merged into a single
piece.

Their lives have been linked not only to each other but are now joined between the presence of God.

That as these grains of sand can never be separated and returned back to the individual containers,
so is your marriage.

Minister: By the authority delegated in me by God himself as a minister of the gospel, in the name of
our Christian faith in behalf of the (Church Denomination), and with the approval of the civil
authorities, I, (Ministers Name) proceed to declare you husband and wife according to the will of
God. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate." (Matthew 19:6 NLV). (Groom)
and (Bride) I pronounce you married in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. That
God help you fulfill your vows.
(Groom) you may kiss your wife.

Ministro: Por la autoridad que me es delegada por Dios mismo como ministro de su evangelio, a
nombre de nuestra fe cristiana nombre de la (Nombre de la Denominacion), y con la debida
aprobacin de las autoridades civiles, yo (Nombre del Ministro) procedo a declararlos marido y
