To advance to page 2swipe the screen fromright to left Process is the same on iPhone as on ipad There are two Webi Reports that can also be demoed. The biggest feature here is the ability to drill on the reports. Probably best to show one Webi report or the other rather than both so you dont get dragged into a discussion of the limitations of one report vs the other. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 TapProduct Analysis Sales Revenue - BPC TheProduct Analysis Sales Revenue BPC webi report is a report includes a grid & pie chart. Both can be drilled on. The report prompts you to choose two filters. Tap the Done button. The report will now refresh. For best performance refresh the report once before your demo to wake up the servers. The report has been set to refresh on open. This ensures the user receives the most up to data & meta data. Also ensures, the report displays per whatever meta data customizations you made as described in Section 1.8 of this document. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 The main thing to demo here is the users ability to drill on both the grid & chart. User also has the ability to change the filters & rerun the report. Below I will show the options for drilling & filtering. In the grid you may drill on Products, Entities, & Time. e.g. Tap a Product column header. You get a box saying Drill Down Product. Tap that box & the grid & chart drill down on your choice. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 You can also drill on Entity (Business Unit) or Time. When tap on an intermediate level like Region or Quarter you are presented with the option to drill back up or to drill further down. When you tap on a base level member you would only get drill up. If you re-prompt the report by tapping the filter icon in the upper right corner you will be notified the filter will reset the report to the starting point. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 Tap the Filter icon To change the Category, tap the category filter. You are presented with a list of the categories in the environment. The applicable categories for this report are: o Actual o Current Budget o Current Forecast Tap the category you wish to rerun the report for rather than the currently selected category. To change the Currency, tap the currency filter. Since we are reporting across multiple entities with varying local currencies the applicable currencies for this report would be the two global reporting currencies we established in this environment: o Euro o United States Dollar After making sections, tap the Done icon. Tap the currency you wish to rerun the report for rather than the currently selected currency. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 Here is the result for example of re-running the report for Actual & Euro. Tap the Send icon in the upper right corner to show options for sharing this report. You can email other users. You can also annotate the report before you email it. Tap Annotate. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 In the upper right corner is a toolbar that gives you various options for annotating the report. For example, with the first icon highlighted (the pen icon) you can use your finger to draw a message on the report as you see in this example. When you are finished annotating, tap the Done icon in the toolbar. You are now presented with options for sharing the report. Tap email. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 MOBI places a hyperlink to the report & a picture of it including my annotation into the body of an email. Address the email to yourself TapSend TapBack icon You are now out of Annotate mode. TapServer icon to close the report. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 Tap on your connection Tap theLogout icon Close MOBI on your ipad SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 Go to Mail on your ipad Tap on the message you just received. Subject Product Analysis Sales Revenue - BPC Click the link - Tap to open the report in SAP BI application The link Tap to open the report inbrowser if clicked on a pc will launch Webi the default browser. After the user logs in it will launch the report in Webi. The report opens to itsdefault category & currency You also have the ability to drill on thechart Rather than drilling on the grid. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 The Selected Slice shows the amount & %of the pie in the corresponding details box. You can drill on the Selected Slice in the Pie Chart. To choose another slice, drag the blue circle that rings the chart to a new slice. To drill on a slice double tap the selected slice. A toolbar pops up at the bottom of the screen. Tap the icon showing 3 downward facing arrowheads. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 You are presented with an option to Drill Down &/or Drill Up depending on where the selected slice falls in the hierarchies of the Product & Entity dimensions. Tap the selection box to Drill. Tap a dimension to drill on. Tap a member to drill on. MOBI then refreshes the report. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 To drill back up double tap on the selected slice. The toolbar reappears at the bottom of the screen. Tap the icon with 3 downward facing arrowheads. You are presented with a choice to either Drill back up on the dimension you just drilled down on or to Drill down on the other dimension. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 In this example I drill down on Europe. Here I see the results of that further drill down. I can reset the report either by drilling back up on the dimensions or by re-prompting the report which will reset the report to its default filters. You also have the option of showing the report - Product Analysis Multi-Account - BPC Consider you may want to only show one Webi report or the other so as to avoid getting possibly dragged into a discussion during the demo about limitations of each report. e.g. - The Sales Revenue report does not consume a BEx query thus it does not understand BPCs hierarchies. (properties are used as a work-around on simple hierarchies, it cant handle complex ones like the ACCOUNTP dimension) The Multi-Account report does consume a BEx query & thus can understand BPCs hierarchies but Webi does not support an integrated drillable chart along with the grid produced by the BEx query. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 Tap theProduct Analysis Multi-Account BPCreport. The prompt comes up. Click Done to refresh the report. Reports using BEx queries have two modes. In the first one if you drill the grid does not expand in size. You would need to scroll within the grid. Drilling works better if you change the mode so the grid auto-expands. Double tap in the gray space below 2011 TOTAL. You will see the grid swing around & the filter choices shown above the grid disappear SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 You can Drill Down on any row or column member where you see a right facing arrow You can collapse any row or column member where you see a downward facing arrow To re-prompt the report tap the filter icon SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 Change the Category. The prompt comes up with the currently chosen category. If you choose another member like in the far right image, you will need to de-select the prior choice. I have now de-selected the prior choice. Click theDoneicon. In the far right image we see the new category selection. Changing the Currency works the same way. If you change the selection you must de-select the prior selection. To refresh the report tap the Done icon. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 Changing the Account fil ter is more complex as this i s a hierarchy where as Category & Currency are flat. Use theright arrow to advance down the hierarchy as far as you wish to go. Choose a different account. You then need to tap theBack icon to go back up the hierarchy. Like with Category & Currency the prior selection needs to bedeselected. Once you reach the Net Income level tapBack once more & you will be where it displays all filter selections. Tap theDone icon to refresh the report. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 1.7. Meta Data Synchronization if you updated descriptions of Entities in BPC Admin Console Meta Data displayed in the rows of the reports will update automatically the next time you query the database with the report. However, the Entity descriptions you change in the BPC Administration Console will NOT automatically update the Prompt List in the Income Statement & Balance Sheet. The Headers of those reports will also not automatically update. The steps to update the entity descriptions in Crystal Reports however are quite easy & take no more than 5-10 minutes. 1.7.1.LaunchCrystal Reports 2011 For LDL instances - On the SBO EPM Server (4595 Server). In the Field Explorer field explorer to the right of the report, find the Formula Field - Entity Double click it to edit the formula, and change the text in the script. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 Change the descriptions in the red box to match the descriptions in as you changed them in the BPC Admin Console. Click Save & Close button. Save the report Repeat steps (1.7.2 1.7.4) for Balance Sheet BPC CR.rpt The OperatingReport BPC CRdoes not require maintenance as there is no Prompt for Entity & the base level entities are displayed in the rows of the report. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 1.8. META DATA UPDATE IN BPC ADMIN CONSOLE IF SHOWING WEBI REPORT PRODUCT ANALYSIS SALESREVENUE This report does not use a BEx query. Therefore, it cant leverage the parent level members of dimension. We worked around this limitation by adding some properties on the Time, Entity, & Product dimensions. We can do this because those dimensions have simple hierarchies. Because the ACCOUNTP dimensions hierarchy is complex we cant use this property work-around for that dimension. Thus we have limited the account in this report to Base member Sales Revenue. We are not using BEx in this report so that we can have a grid & a chart integrated together in a report where you can drill on either. That ability is NOT supported when Webi is consuming a BEx query. If you did not make Meta Data changes to the ENTITY & PRODUCT dimension in EPM10_DEMO_PL you do not need to make any updates the report before your demo. If you made Meta Data changes to the ENTITY & PRODUCT dimension in EPM10_DEMO_PL & you dont care if the MOBI Sales Revenue report matches your changes you just run the report in your demo. It yields a report using the standard Entity & Product descriptions in EPM10_DEMO_PL. If you made Meta Data changes to the ENTITY or PRODUCT dimension and wish to have the Sales Revenue report match your changes follow the instructions in steps 1.8.1 1.8.3 to synch your report with the changes you made in BPC Admin Console. Note: No updates are necessary to the Multi-Account report that consumes a BEx query 1.8.1. Update to Entity dimension This step is only necessary in the following instance; You changed the Description of these Entities E01, E02, E03 & you want the MOBI reports to show the new descriptions rather than the standard descriptions. In BPC Admin, update the REGION property of Entity dimension for the BASE members that roll-up to those 3 Parent level members. Change the value in for each Base member to be the same as the Description for the Parent it rolls up to in PARENTH1. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 Now for example lets say you change the description of E01 to Americas & E02 to EMEA. If you want the Webi report to also use those descriptions (and not the ones shown above) change the Base Members REGION property to match the change. So in this example you would change the members whose region shows North America to Americas. Change the ones who show Europe to EMEA. 1.8.2. Update to Product Dimension This step is only necessary in the following instance: You want the Base member products to roll-up to something other thanProduct A, Product B, Product C Similar to with Entities change the Product Group Properties of the Base members to what you want them to roll up. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 This step is only necessary in the following instance: You want the Base member products to roll-up to something other thanProduct A, Product B, Product C Similar to with Entities change the Product Group Properties of the Base members to what you want them to roll up. SAP AG 2010 /SAP AND PARTNER INTERNAL / SCENARIO ID: 8303 1.8.3. Update the Total Level Descriptions in the Webi Report Because Webi without using BEx cant retrieve E00 & P00 the top level members of the Entity & Product dimensions instead on the report they are displayed as local Report Totals that add up the amounts in the columns & rows. To update the descriptions to match what you changed the descriptions of E00 & P00 in the BPC Admin Console you need to update the totals on the Webi Report.
