&lectrical connections should /e made only /y a cometent erson$ )o not attemt to wire this unit if you
are not a ?ualified or an e2erienced electrician$ Installation may involve alterations to fi2ed wiring and
oening the consumer unit3 there is ris1 of death /y electrocution$
Choose the most suita/le ca/le entry oints ;rear or /ottom= and ma1e the electrical connections to the
unit according to the aroriate wiring diagram ;see section "$4=$ *se the /lan1ing lugs rovided for
unused ca/le entry oints$
#lternati$e loads
In some cases it may /e desired to control the ower to a load other than an immersion heater$ The load
%*ST /e a simle resistive load3 e$g$ an electric towel radiator3 storage heater etc$
The load must not e2ceed "1W and must not include digital or analogue timers3 as they may /e damaged
/y the roortional outut control of the immerS*+$

"$" Clam Installation
Correct ositioning of the clam is vital to the oeration and efficiency of the immerS*+$ Incorrect
installation may result in increased electrical costs to the user$
The clam should /e located at the main incoming grid suly to the /uilding$ This will /e the suly from
the main electric meter ;+OT the PV generation meter=$ Close the clam around one of the ca/les ;8ive
or +eutral= from the meter3 this can /e at the meter location or inside the consumer unit$
%M&O'T#NT" &nsure the clam is securely closed around the ca/le$
Connect the clam wire to the C8<%P terminals inside the immerS*+$ )onBt worry a/out olarity$
The clam wire can /e e2tended if re?uired3 however due to the very small signal from the clam3 a
ma2imum length of "m is recommended$ 8onger lengths may affect the erformance of the immerS*+$

Once the unit is mounted and wired3 the installer will need to set arameters as re?uired for the articular
installation$ -efore alying ower to the unit the )IP switches will need to /e set$

<t first switch on3 the immerS*+ will run through the installation setu rocess3 follow the instructions on
the dislay$

thermostat is closed ;i$e$ the water in the cylinder is cold=
