Active Fires being managed for multiple objectives:
Cathedral (37 51!43 " 11# 23720 $ %uolum&e Co, #,140', (ul) 16* This fre is now at 4
acres and continues to be active. It is west of Cathedral Peak. Smoke is visible from many
Tuolumne Meadows locations.
+em,ert (37 5315# " 11# 1#05# $ %uolum&e Co, #,250', (ul) 16* This fre continues to
smolder and creep throuh surface fuels in a lodepole pine forest. It is east of !embert "ome.
-t .tarr /i&g (37 4321 " 11# 2!10! $ -ariposa Co, !,730', (ul) 16* It is on the east
side of Mount Starr #in and continues to creep throuh a red fr forest. Smoke is visible from
many park locations$ particularly from %lacier Point.
-eado0 (37 4273! " 11# 30541 $ -ariposa Co, 7,!70', August 16* This is a remote$
hold&over lihtnin caused fre. It is northeast of Mount Starr #in and south of Starr #in
Meadow. It is creepin throuh red fr and lodepole pine$ and is surrounded by ranite knobs. It
is visible from many park locations$ and in particular$ %lacier Point.

1ar2 3ole Fire4 This fre was declared '(() contained on *uust '+$ at '$(,( acres. This
lihtnin caused fre bean on -uly '.$ /('4$ in desinated 0ilderness$ near the 1osemite Creek
Campround. The fre was suppressed by handline construction usin minimum impact
suppression tactics and natural barriers of ranite ridelines and rock out&croppins. Periodic
smoke may continue to be visible from many locations within 1osemite. The fre is in patrol
status.

acres$ on *uust 4$ /('4. Smoke from los and other veetation within the fre perimeter may
continue to be visible. This fre is in patrol status.

The Luens !ranch Trail remains closed"
The 1osemite Creek Trail has been re&opened.
