TEXACO ROVING ENDS OPENER

This Roving Ends Opener (R.E.O) can be used for roving of all types fibers perfectly without causing any
neps. The machine consists of a number of features which include a feed lattice, Metal collecting roller,
feed roller with piano type pedals, dead weight, pinned lags beater with 600mm diameter, perforated cage
& delivery lattice. The main motor 3 HP drive the Beater and 1.5HP Assembled Gear Box motor
(TRANSTECH BRAND) drives both Feed & Deliver lattice.

Working Manual:
01. Feed the Roving End cuts collected from the bobbins and spread evenly in the feed lattice to switch
ON the main motor by itching method.
02. After few minutes, switch ON the feed lattice drive gear motor for smooth feeding.
03. Kindly check the Roving end feeds in the feed roller evenly, not in bulky which create improper
opening while beating.
04. The Cage unit will carry the opened fibre in lap form and collect the material in the hessian bags.


SETTINGS:
01. Setting between the Feed rollers to Beater: Open the side Doors (LH&RH) .Then unscrew the
Beater Bearing block mount and tight the side screw nut & bolt forward/ backward to the Feed
roller and set in to 3 to 5mm Gap between them.
02. Setting Between the Knife plate to Beater Pins: Open the Beater Top Box curved cover, set the
gap between the Knife plate to beater Pins up to 3mm for the Un opened Roving end going back
and do the process again.
Maintenace:
01. Apply the Grease in the Chain & Chain wheels, Beater Bearing units and all other moving part
once in a month regularly.
