Let's frst defne bad breath; it is scientifcally called "halitosis", it is
the bad odor or smell of the mouth, which occurs occasionally or may
also be chronic, usually caused by the food we eat, poor oral
health/hygiene, or if you have medical conditions, and other factors.
So who are the usual suspects
!. The Food We Eat - is the main source of bad smells coming out
of our mouths. "oods li#e garlic, onions, other spicy foods, curry
or other e$otic spices, some cheeses, seafood, co%ee and other
acidic beverages leave a lasting smell. &n most of these cases,
the e%ect is short term, but there may be some food leftover
between the teeth that breeds bacteria which is where the odor

regularly, small food particles get left behind, letting it rot and
