Installing AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 32 bit on a 64 bit
Operating System
Autodesk understands that customers may want to install AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 on 64 bit operating
systems despite not being an officially supported configuration. To aide customers, a self-extracting
executable version of a modified AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 installation allowing installation to 64bit
operating systems has been made available. By downloading the 64-bit version of AutoCAD Map 3D
(64-bit Software) you agree to the following:
THE 64-BIT SOFTWARE IS DEEMED SOFTWARE LICENSED TO YOU UNDER YOUR EXISTING
SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR MAP3D, SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING: (I) THE 64-BIT
SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED AS-IS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED; (II) YOU MAY USE ONLY THE NUMBER OF COPIES OF MAP3D LICENSED TO YOU, SO
IF YOU HAVE ONLY LICENSED ONE COPY, YOU CAN USE EITHER THE 64-BIT SOFTWARE OR
THE ORIGINAL SOFTWARE, BUT NOT BOTH; AND (III) YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT
AUTODESK DOES NOT HAVE ANY OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE MAINTENANCE OR SUPPORT FOR
THE 64-BIT SOFTWARE AND THAT AUTODESK SHALL NOT HAVE ANY LIABILITY TO YOU OR ANY
THIRD PARTY ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE 64-BIT SOFTWARE.
To install AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 on a 64 bit operating system:
View the Readme for detailed installation instructions and feature limitations.
1. Download the AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 Installer executable file using the link below.
2. Double-click on the AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 Installer executable file to extract the files.
3. Browse to the destination folder to which you want to extract the files. By default this is
C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 Setup.
4. Click Install to begin the extraction process.
When the extraction process is complete the AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 installer will launch. From
the installer you have the same options as the DVD media: Read Documentation, Install
Products, Create Deployments, and Install Tools and Utilities.
5. Install AutoCAD Map 3D 2009.
In the Installer, specify the location to which you want to install AutoCAD Map 3D 2009. Click OK.

Notes:
The extracted files will remain in the extraction folder.
To start the AutoCAD Map 3D installer at another time, cancel the installation at step 5. Browse
to C:\Autodesk\AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 Setup and double-click setup.exe to start the installer
later.
The sample data included with AutoCAD Map 3D 2009 is available on the original installation
media.
