SEPTEMBER
WORSHIP ATTENDANCE
IN JULY AND AUGUST 2014
The Worship of God is something that
Jesus did as His custom whether in the
Synagogue or at the Temple in Jerusalem.
Certainly, Jesus would recommend
our worship of God regularly! See you in worship
and invite others to come along.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, Members and
Friends of the Hill United Presbyterian
Church:
Sometimes we come up against some extremely
trying circumstances and situations in this world.
However, Peter writes and tells us that you and I
have a tremendous amount of help given to us through
the Christian faith.
Peter wrote in his First Letter in Chapter 2: For to
this you have been called, because Christ also suffered
for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow
in His steps. He committed no sin; no guile was found
on his lips. When He was reviled, He did not revile in
return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but He
trusted to the Father who judges justly.
He Himself bore our sins in His body on the Cross,
that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By
His wounds you have been healed. For you were
straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Chief
Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
Peter adds in Chapter 5: And when the Chief
Shepherd is manifested you will obtain the unfading
crown of glory.
The amazingly marvelous fact is that you and I do
have a Chief Shepherd and a Guardian of our
Souls!!
That is really, really Good News!!!
Yours for Living in the Good News,
Pastor Clark

GHANA MISSION TASK FORCE REPORT

The Task Force is preparing to transmit your funds to the Bubiashie District committee in
the next few days. We have about $5,000 to send. Thanks to every one of you who have
supported this mission cause.

In the meantime, Catechist Robert S. Nyalemegbe sent us the grades of two of the students from the Tsokome
congregation. Delalai Geyevu attends the Keta Business College where she majors in Home Economics.
Other courses include English, math, science, social studies, phys. ed., and information technology. Abigail
Yayra Amenudzi attends Ashaiman Senior High School with a concentration in Home Economics. Her other
courses include math, science, social studies, phys. ed., biology, and basic management. Please keep these
two students in your prayers, that they can successfully complete their studies and discover a career.

McWilson Atakro writes to tell us that their daughter, Agnes, continues in her theological education, currently
serving a practicum, with the anticipation of being commissioned in 2015. The three boys continue their
university educations.

Please keep the Bubiashie District churches, Bernard Daddy, chairperson of the Bubiashie Scholarship
Committee, as well as the students in your prayers. Also pray for resolution to the Ebola health crisis in West
Africa.
