Dear Sudhir12345,

The above pay scale says as under:

The salary of the clerk in the beginning is Rs. 325.

There is an increment of Rs. 20 every year to him for five years or till his salary reaches to Rs. 425.

After that the rate of increment is of Rs. 25 every year for next five years or till his salary reaches to Rs.
550.

After that the rate of increment is of Rs. 30 every year for next five years or till his salary reaches to
Rs.700.

After that the rate of increment is of Rs. 35 every year for next six years or till his salary reaches to 910.

Then the increment rate is Rs. 40 for next six years or till his salary reaches to 1150, Rs. 45 for next five
years or till Rs. 1375, Rs. 50 for next five years or till Rs. 1625.

His last salary would be Rs. 1625. There is a stagnation.

This pay scale is for the tenure of 37 years maximum.

There is no bar on getting more than single increment on performance / efficiency. In that case the tenure
of the scale will be shorter and at Rs. 1625 there is a stagnation unless there is a revision.

This kind of pay scale pattern is now out dated in private sector.

There is also a concept of EB in between. EB means efficiency bar.

seek an advice for a friend who was terminated from his organization. He works with a public listed
multinational. He and one of his colleagues were detained in the office one day. They were questioned for
8 hrs by a third party with bouncers in office. His colleague was terminated and my friend was sent home.
He was not given any chance to explain nor was any management team organized to conduct a formal
investigation.
After that humiliation my friend decided not to go to that office and he sent his resignation. The company
did not sent any acknowledgment for more than 8 days and when he followed up they send him a
termination letter stating that he was suspected of fraud. My friend sent an email saying that he does not
accept any allegation.
Please advise what his rights are in orders to get his termination revoked
What should he do when a company does not respond to his non acceptance of termination.
Why are they not reply to his follow up emails??

From your query it is assumed that your friend is suspected for the fraud in the company, one of his/her
colleague is terminated for the same. Your friend was send home may be pending inquiry, so in that case
your friend would have not send the resignation immediately, wherein the employer will not accept the
resignation. It is advisable to approach the HR and resolve the suspects they have, thereafter the
resignation to be accepted can be worked out.

I agree with saji.. but, i wanted to add one more point in the same, if they have done the investigation & if
they found he is guilty then, they would have provide the charge sheet / show cause notice against him
for asking the explaination on investigation report to listern his side on the ground of nature of justice & in
case of failure of respond by concern person, then, it shall consider that, there is nothing to say from his
side, & he feel in guilty in mentioned offence.

but, as explained, they have directly send the termination letter without given change to explain by
himself.

So, in this case, i would advice you that, you may ask for investigation report & judgement & if you feel
that, they are irrevent or injustice again you, then that will be the strong evidence file the case against
them in industrial tribuna court...

An employee working under me had submitted her resignation letter with 1 month notice period. Before
end of notice period, she wants to take back her resignation and continue to work. Should she give it in

If you have already accepted her resignation and passed it on to HR for processing, she should give a
written notification of withdrawal. However, if you are still sitting on it and no one knows about it. You
could tear it up or give it back. Experts will need more details to give a precise advice.

I dont think that, this is big deal..? as you know, it clearlly depend on the company or boss, whether they
want to retain her or not..?

if they want to retain & same wish by employee too, then not any issue, you may take the resignation
withadrawal letter from her & continoue her service.

The point of law is clear, an employee who has resigned from service reserves the right to withdraw it till
he/she is relieved from service, even after the resignation is accepted. In this case, since she has not
been relieved so far, she has the right to withdraw her resignation and for this a written request is needed.

I am working with a proprietorship firm which situated in Bangalore, Karnataka. I joined on 22nd April
2013 as a Sales officer. They discontinue paying my salaries and other Allowances from the 1st month of

not cleared dues. Now when I ask them about my dues they say they are not going to pay anything

My questions are

1> Can any employer didn't pay due to non performance in sales when employer not providing any
support or not mention this terms in Appointment letter?
2> Can any employer terminate me without clear my dues and notice due to non performance?
3> Can any employer terminate me on back dated?

I am Prithvi working as a Interior Designer for an Architect in Bangalore. I have been working for
4months. 2months after I joined the firm I was given a agreement to sign, the highlighting point was:-
# 6 months probation period, if given resignation should serve 30days notice period or pay 45 days salary
to the Firm. After probation period 90 days notice period or pay 45 days salary to the Firm.
After completion of my 4months in the firm I gave my resignation for my personal reasons. The Architect
accepted my resignation and asked me to serve 30days notice period or pay 45days salary to the firm. I
accepted to serve 30days notice period but asked to give my Original Appointment letter With Relieving
Letter and pay my salary for the notice period term.
My request was denied and the Firm insisted me to pay 45days of my salary to them.
Hence I did not go to work from then. Can they take any Legal action on me for not paying them or what
else can they do Please guide me through.

Now a days we are facing problems to hire candidates from Market. Neither our General Manager want to
hire any online services nor want to pay any amount to recruitment consultants.

The General Manager is saying that you have to search candidates online process like indeed.com, olx.in
or through Hotel Management institutes also. We have already follow the same process but we are

Is it possible to hire the manpower by the HR Department in the above mentioned condition?

These days there are lot social media tools are available to post a job and get candidates. You can hire
freshers as well as experienced.

You can join relevant groups on Linked In and post job there. Also you can write the same on your wall
and request people to like your post so it reaches to maximum people.

You can tweet about your job posting For eg: (#hiring #HR).

You can write on Facebook page also, join relevant groups and start sharing your requirement.

You can use skillpages.com also, you can find talent pool from there.

Apart from that you can request your employees also to give the referrals.

Without job portals and agency, you can use these tools which are practically helpful. Though I have an
access to job portal but personally I have used them so suggesting.
