Choices have consequences, consequences bring forth changes, changes provide chances; chances for

idea. An idea changes your life forever. An idea can either make or break your prospect for a better
future. Future is the hope you carry from your cradle to your grave. It seems to be always around but
you never see it coming. Throughout my childhood I always had an urge to grow up faster to get into
the bigger picture. I had a well-to-do upbringing, a happy childhood where all my desires were fulfilled.
I had freedom in thought and action. I was a free spirit and my imagination knew no bounds. These
formative years became the basis of my persona. Though the days of my innocence have fleeted away,
those are the days I cherish. The day I had my first ice cream, day I rode my bike to school, a day sent
in my grandmas lap, days in the rain, those paper boats, days of hustle and joy. Each day of my past
was a lesson for the future, lessons etched to my heart. A considerable measure of your lifetime is
spent on Schooling but the real lessons are learnt through your experiences in everyday life. There can
be no greater philosopher, friend or teacher greater than ones experiences. As I progressed through
my grades, I was fostered in scientific and analytical streams of knowledge. By this time, there was
little room for my artistic imagination. Stacks of books ranging from history to chemistry and scores
of assignments haunted my desks and dreams. Idle hands may be the Devils workshop but an idle
mind is the Devils paradise. I had become ignorant of my choices and the pressure started mounting.
There was an air of condescension among friends as comparisons were drawn based on individual
performances. Everyone vied for glory and the victor was crowned with stark envy rather appreciation.
It was a difficult time for me and a band of few who were less inclined in the art of self-control. Vices
were plenty and ignorance added steam to our engines. In time had to confront the reality, backlogs
of work and squadrons of exams followed. I had to clear my head and work on full throttle as the
mother of all examinations was approaching. There was a sense of fear and anxiety creating ripples in
my mind nevertheless I was prepared to face my demons. I had the confidence of making it out in
flying colours. I sacrificed my vices and focussed my body and mind. Like the calm after a storm, I had
to wait months before I could taste the fruits of my labour. And finally the day that would alter my
path had arrived. Like a prism dispersing light, a single choice had several perspectives. The results
were not to the best of my expectations but were enough for my safe passage. My parents enrolled
me to one of the premier engineering colleges in the country but I had second thoughts. I realised that
going to college was a stair in flight of stairs and I needed to step firmly for a great career. After initial
days of boredom and repetition, I found perspective. I started to metamorphose the way I approached
a problem or person facing one enabling better and effective means of achieving my goals. Education
catapulted my confidence and ardour towards new ideologies, ones I had reservations before. By the
end of my formal education, I had changed my way of expressing myself. I was ready to face the world
with the new found courage. I wanted to achieve more than mediocre success so I started my pursuit
of excellence by preparing for the countrys elite examinations. The journey has made me realise my
inner strengths & weaknesses. I understand the value of an opportunity and my heart leaps at the
sight of one. That been told It would be a challenge for me to serve an organisation of such
international significance and to be able to serve a whole spectrum of societies is a recherch. I am
confident of my skills of effective team management, efficient decision making and analytical
capabilities. Awaiting the opportunity to learn.
